The Martial Unity

Chapter 2461: Damn It All

Prime Minister Edward gritted his teeth as soon as he ended the virtual meeting with the Emperor of Harmony. ”Damn it...”

His eyes grew bloodshot as endless frustration choked him. ”Damn it all...!”

He felt he was on the verge of losing his sanity.

Even when he put aside his ego and decided to destroy the Kandrian Empire no matter what it took, he still failed!

How could he have ever predicted that an apocalypse of this magnitude would erupt the very moment he waged a destructive battle to destroy the Kandrian Empire once and for all?!

It was as though Gaia herself was sabotaging him!

”DAMN IT ALL...!” A bellow of maddening frustration escaped him.

He closed his eyes for a minute, struggling to reign himself in, before composing himself as best as he could.

Now was not the time to be consumed in his emotions.

Now was the time to act.

The second he walked out of the conference hall with Master-level bodyguards, he was swarmed with his staff and administration who had been anxiously waiting for him to conclude his emergency meeting with the Emperor of Harmony. The intel reports were so important that they themselves had personally come to inform him of the happenings.

”Sir, the wavefront of the Beast Incursion has already crossed three percent of the way to the Britannian Empire!”

”Prime Minister, we have received intel that the estimated time for arrival for the first wave is in less than half an hour! The faster beasts and monsters are rushing towards the Britannian Empire in a frenzy!”

”Prime Minister, the Sage Knights have reported their emergency retreat!”

Any ordinary leader would be entirely overwhelmed by the sheer flood of information.

Not Prime Minister Edward.

”I want a new permanent division doing long-range surveillance on the wave front of the Beast Incursion at all times. Coordinate the intelligence service with the Ministry of Ecological and Environmental Affairs to prepare a full analysis of the threat factor. Inform Master Knight Brigsby to coordinate a Martial Artist perimeter around the border of the Britannian Empire. Inform the Imperial General of my authorization for a complete mobilization of all heavy artillery on the Imperial fort wall to intercept any and all threats. And lastly, announce a national emergency and evacuate the citizens.” His eyes grew fierce with determination.

He swiftly processed all the information that his subordinates bombarded him with before issuing command after command, taking into account countless variables such as the absence of the Sage Knights and the limited timeline until the apocalypse hit the Britannian Empire in the face.

RUMBLE...

The sheer weight of the seismic radiation that the rampaging beasts unleashed swept over the entirety of the Britannian Empire!

The land shook as the atmosphere of the empire grew ever more perilous.

The citizens, already terrified from the seismic radiation from the battle of the Sages as well as the horrifying roar that swept across all of human civilization, could not tolerate the fear that the national emergency announcement evoked upon them.

A mass hysteria and panic drove countless citizens into a wild stampede for the evacuation centers in the Britannian Empire.

”AAARRRGHHHH!!!”

”MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!

”Weʼre all going to die! HAHAHA!”

Yet, despite all their bouts of madness and panic frenzies, they evacuated as the Martial Artists guided them to safety while simultaneously arranging themselves in a perimeter around the border.

”All Master Knights at the forefront!” Master Knight Brigsby roared before all the gathered commander knights of all Realms in the Britannian Empire. ”Senior Knights further away from the point of collision, and Squire and Apprentice Knights are to be positioned in the northern and southern borders of the Britannian Empire! Make sure that your respective forces are where they belong!”

”Yes sir!” A hundred commander knights saluted him, before disappearing at top speed with grave expressions.

The Martial Artists of the Britannian Empire pulled themselves together as they arranged themselves in the perimeter around the Britannian Empire in preparation for the incoming tide of beasts that would undoubtedly erode away at the defenses of the Britannian Empire bit by bit.

The air grew heavy.

The atmosphere among the Martial Artists was electric.

It tingled at the nerves.

RUMBLE

Their expressions grew grave as they felt heaven and earth tremoring under the sheer weight of the incoming force!

They began sweating as the sheer gravity of the situation began truly setting in as they took their stations on the border of the Britannian Empire.

They, the forces of the Britannian Empire, in all their pride and arrogance, couldnʼt help but feel dread and horror at what was about to happen.

They had each heard tales of what was coming.

Some had even seen it in emergency long-range surveillance.

An endless wave of monsters and beasts.

A hellish nightmare.

RUMBLE!

They took their stances with gritted teeth as the tremoring escalated.

They broke into cold sweats as their heart rates spiked.

And just like that, the time had come.

RUMBLE!!

”ROOOAAARRRR!!!”

”KRIIIEEEKKK!!!”

”RAAWWWWRRR!!!”

Their expressions crumbled with horror as they saw a limitless rampage of frenzied beasts and monsters rushing forward with primal aggression. Their inhuman eyes were blood red from the fury and hatred that drove them forward without any care for their lives! ”ATTACK!!!” the commander knights roared with vengeance. ”INTERCEPT THEM BEFORE THEY GET CLOSE TO THE BORDER WALL!!!”

”FIRE!!! WEAKENTHE BEASTS FOR OUR MARTIAL ARTISTS TO VANQUISH!!!” the Imperial General simultaneously issued his command to artillery corps with a thundering bellow.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

RUMBLE!!!

The battle between the Britannian Empire and the Beast Incursion began in a maelstrom of violence as the Martial Artists and siege weapons of the Britannian Empire fought with all their might to keep the beasts and monsters at bay. The beasts and monsters segregated and sorted themselves out automatically, avoiding Martial Artists they feared while engaging

those that they didnʼt.

RUMBLE!!!

The Britannian Empire shook as it desperately fought for survival!
