The Martial Unity

It was the first time he had ever seen the MECHA, even if he had heard many tales of it. Tokugawa Ieyasu had only adopted it after Rui had departed for the Siege of Sages, and had committed his mutiny before Rui could recover from his battle against the Eldritch Chimera.

Yet, he recognized exactly who he was dealing with the moment he saw the man’s Martial Embodiment, amplified by his MECHA.

“You have courage, showing your face in front of me after you killed members of the Silas Clan, my family of blood relatives,” Rui spoke with a chilling ethereal voice. “And yet, you are cowardly for attacking me while I face two top-ten powerhouses.”

The accusation did not so much as faze Tokugawa Ieyasu. “Life isn’t fair. All of this is a consequence of your actions. The death of Matriarch Nephi, the partial destruction of the Kandrian Empire, and now your confrontation with all three of us are a result of you abandoning everybody in a war you started to undergo this strange transformation of yours.”

Suddenly, the air chilled.

A profound tension began boiling in the atmosphere as Rui’s ethereal eyes intensified.

“The death of Matriarch Nephi?”

His ethereal voice was perilous.

“You…” His reverberating tone grew ominous. “You killed my grandmother?”

“She got herself killed after attacking me,” Tokugawa Ieyasu coldly replied. “That is not my fau—”

BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Tokugawa Ieyasu’s eyes widened as Rui teleported before his MECHA faster than he could react, blasting his MECHA with a ferocious attack. His translucent fist crashed into the invintium-alloy frame, inflicting sever damage as he crumpled the metal with the sheer force of his blow, unleashing all the energy he had absorbed from Sentinel Prime.

Yet, before he could continue, Sentinel Prime charged from behind him as Ieyasu teleported away, throwing a powerful plasma-laden fist. NOVA had learned her lesson with trying to harm Rui with physical blows alone.

“Plasma does not work against me either, remember?”

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Rui altered his DNA, making his body plasma conductive and manipulative, effortlessly withstanding and stealing his enemy’s plasma to use against him.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

His fist blasted into Sentinel Prime healed electromagnetic flesh armor, ravaging it once more with his own power, only to find a power vacuum blast launched from the Abyssal Mirror MECHA, threatening to crush him where he stood.

WHOOSH

Rui smoothly evaded the blow, charging towards the Abyssal Mirror MECHA with a chilling, yet calm bloodlust in his ethereal eyes.

It was within his prediction.

“Gale Wind Storm.”

Rui’s eyes widened as the MECHA mobilized a shocking amount of power as the zero-point energy reactors amplified Tokugawa Ieyasu’s breathing technique with an extraordinary amount of power, allowing him to output techniques that were orders of magnitude above his raw limit.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Rui altered his DNA to adjust his cells to create channels for the wind through pores in his body, minimizing the amount of force that the attack inflicted on him, negating what would have been a powerful impact.

“Give me your water.” The voice of the Suneater boomed as his hands shot out towards Rui with a surprising amount of speed and momentum.

RUMBLE!!!!!

The powerful gesture caused a tremendous amount of turbulence, making it impossible to evade via teleportation. Rui sharpened his ethereal eyes as he evaded the powerful attack, undoing his Porous Body technique while rushing at top speed to evade the onslaught of shockwaves and wind that the Suneater unleashed, only to find himself face to face with Sentinel Prime charging at him once more.

CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK!

Several hatches from within the flesh armor opened up unleashing a barrage of powerful homing missiles that charged at him faster than he could evade.

WHOOSH

Rui teleported away, only to find himself face to face with a powerful laser that Sentinel Prime had unleashed at the exact location he teleported to.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

His exterior flesh was harmed for the first time in the battle.

WHOOSH

Sentinel Prime’s eyes widened with shock as the wound disappeared as fast as it appeared, almost as if it was never there to begin with.

Even before Rui had integrated evosapien flesh into his body, his healing had been extremely powerful with Weaving Blood amplified with the exotic pluripotent matter in his body.

After he integrated evosapien flesh into his body, it had reached a whole other level.

Wounds would cease to exist the exact moment they appeared, leaving some to even question whether the wound had been inflicted in the first place.

Sentinel Prime’s cybernetic eyes sharpened with grim severity as he witnessed that.

It meant that killing Rui was not going to be easy. Even though NOVA had managed to crush the Blood Lord, that was due to the fact that his defense and offense were nowhere near as good as regeneration.

Rui, on the other hand, had grown so powerful that even the Sentinel leader struggled to inflict any damage on him.

This was one of the most powerful warriors of the top-ten with a giant body and tons and tons of energy, failing to crush a much smaller creature with much less energy in his body. All while simultaneously fighting off the Suneater and Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Rui had always been very strong, but NOVA knew for a fact that he had not been this strong in the past.

’What did he do to his body?’ Sentinel Prime sharpened his cybernetic eyes as NOVA activated microscopic mode.

She zoomed into his cells as she studied the strange ethereal ones, using micro-spectography to try and study some of its DNA.

’This…’ Sentinel Prime’s eyes widened with shock. ’This is evosapien DNA! He changed half his body into evosapien! Not just any evosapien, with how invisible the flesh is, this must be the flesh of the former Supreme Commander Anthea! They must have harvested a culture of epithelial cells just before he died!’

Chills crawled across Sentinel Prime as NOVA understood what she was dealing with. An extraordinarily powerful Martial Artist of Adaptive Evolution had just transformed half his body into evosapien, gaining access to the power of genetic adaptive evolution.

’How did he obtain such proficiency of evosapien physiology?’

Genetic adaptive evolution took years and decades to master.

If he was this strong already, then how strong would he become in the future?

’I must kill him now!’
