The Martial Unity

In the evolutionary colony, things were proceeding well.

In the span of an hour upon defeat, the evolutionaries had managed to not only build powerful defensive and security measures but also set up everything that a powerful and robust military base needed. The evolutionaries rapidly received supplies from their homeland, allowing their bolster their otherwise makeshift base and upgrade at frightening speeds.

Just one hour after the attack, they had established multiple defensive lines and multiple security systems that would detect and could attack anybody and anything that approached them. There were rows of evolutionaries that patrolled the perimeter, ready to immediately start fighting all out the second they sensed a threat.

With the countless years of expansion of colonialism, they had perfected them as an artform and a science.

They had seen it all.

And yet, not even they could have expected a giant wormhole to open up in the center of the base.

WHOOSH!

RUMBLE!

The world shook as the giant portal rapidly opened and rapidly stabilized, allowing many Martial Sages to emerge from within its depths, bypassing all security measures. The Martial Sages were led by none other than the Reverend of Reckoning himself, who had no intention of holding back whatsoever.

Behind him were several peak Sages, and nearly a hundred Martial Sages and even more Martial Masters.

They had no intention of going soft upon their opponents.

A single whisper escaped the Reverend of Reckoning.

“Attack.”

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

A maelstrom of Sage-level attacks emerged from them as they shook the world with the sheer weight of their attacks. The sheer destruction that ensued exceeded anything that the evolutionaries imagined could have unfolded right under their nose, and yet, a vast majority of evolutionaries died before they could even realize what happened.

RUMBLE!!!!!!

The world shook as one hundred Martial Sages gritted their teeth and spread so much destruction that they could feel Damian smiling down upon them proudly from wherever he was.

By the time they were done, the base was destroyed.

By the time they were done, there was almost nothing left.

Except for those who survived.

And that was when they felt it.

That was when they felt the horrendous amount of power emerging from within the depths of a single entity.

He was unharmed.

Before the onslaught of one hundred Martial Sages, he emerged from the destruction entirely unharmed.

His very existence was ephemeral.

His silhouette was perhaps the only evidence of existence.

As well as the unfathomable power that radiated from the root of his existence.

Chills crawled across the skin of the Martial Sages.

Shivers crawled down their spine as they beheld the unfathomable being.

They could sense his displeasure.

They could sense the faintest iota of bloodlust.

It possessed an otherworldly intensity.

The Reverend of Reckoning grew ashen with severity.

Gazing upon the evolutionary leader, he couldn’t help but be reminded of the Demon of Asmodeous.

Of Rui himself.

“I’ll take him on,” the Reverend of Reckoning said calmly. “You take on the rest.”

Dozens and hundreds of beings emerged from within the depths of the rubble, furious at the attack that had just unfolded.

They surrounded the group of Martial Sages at the very center of the now-destroyed base.

They had no intention of allowing the indigenous warriors to waltz into their base, destroy everything, and just waltz off.

Battle was inevitable.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

The Reverend of Reckoning surged forth towards the ephemeral evolutionary leader, throwing a maelstrom of attacks of extraordinary power.

“You may be unfathomable to lesser Sages,” Sage Jinryong growled. “But your Order is all but transparent.”

His fists flew forward with tremendous force as his eyes beheld the point of maximal structural vulnerability.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The sheer power of the attack inflicted the first hint of damage upon the evolutionary who simply gazed at him with an ephemeral gaze.

WHOOSH

In the blink of an eye, the wound disappeared.

And yet, the Reverend of Reckoning was only getting started as his fists surged forth with even greater speed and force. He preferred close-quarters combat because it allowed him to get close to his opponents in order to ensure that he could perceive their order as well as possible.

His attacks were shockingly ordinary blows powered by immense material prima.

He didn’t rely on high principles like the four fundamental forces or space-time manipulation.

Instead, the destructive power of his attacks emerged from the sheer accuracy and precision each blow he landed had on a sub-atomic level, allowing him to unleash a level of damage that would otherwise be an order of magnitude above what he would otherwise be able to do.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

His combat style was clean, simple, and straightforward, and brimming with order, just as he liked it. Each attack bruised and battered the evolutionary leader with great force and power, leaving him reeling with attack after attack.

Not for a lack of trying.

Its genetic transformation ability kicked into action, relying on superelastic meta-materials, or accelerating its reflexes, or trying to rely on raw power to overcome the attacks of the Reverend of Reckoning.

“Your paltry efforts are obsolete.” Sage Jinryong Namgung growled, launching a tremendously powerful attack.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

RUMBLE!!!!!!

CRACK CRACK CRACK!!

The sheer force of the blow vastly exceeded the conventional limits of the Sage Realm, sending ripples across the very fabric of space and time. He could feel the bones of the evolutionary cracking helplessly under a single attack.

The Reverend of Reckoning almost felt disappointed.

This was what they were making a fuss about?

The evolutionary was indeed defending well, but was being pummeled by his superior attacks. It was disappointing to know that this caliber of warrior had made the peak Sages run away.

And that was when it began.

WHOOSH

His attack struck empty air.

He had lost track of his opponent.

His eyes widened with shock at that realization, and yet by the time he sensed the evolutionary behind him, a tremendous blow blasted him away.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

“Rgh…!” The Reverend of Reckoning barely shifted to minimize the impact at the very last second.

His eyes widened as he found himself face to face with the evolutionary’s surging palm.

An attack that his perception of Order was unable to even fathom incoming.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!
