The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1358: Chapter 1358: Ambition for Posterity

Lin Tian wasn’t very enthusiastic about getting papers published in journals, like getting a certificate for being an excellent student at school. It wasn’t much use.

But ”Lancet” is different, it’s one of the four major medical journals in the world and is a very critical magazine.

The reputation and credibility of ancient medicine in the world are lower than Western medicine. This is actually a very funny thing, as many medications are made from herbs, like the Black Chicken White Phoenix Pill.

There are also people abroad who don’t take herbal medicine, and even a joint study by three Australian universities found that among 26 traditional herbs tested, 90% contained harmful metals, prescription drugs, stimulants, animal DNA, and other undeclared illegal additives or contaminants.

But these ingredients weren’t labeled as additives or contaminants, there was no explanation.

Lin Tian likes to slap these people’s faces, weren’t they saying herbal medicine contains harmful metals? Is it prescription drugs, or stimulants?

Writing a straightforward paper that infinitely magnifies the advantages of herbal medicine, let’s see how they handle it then.

Of course, this is a challenging process, the content needs to be extremely valuable, valuable enough to threaten certain Western medications.

Can it be done?

Lin Tian is convinced it can!

What could attract worldwide attention, what could stir up waves?

Thinking it over, there might actually be something that can shock the global medical community — the long-lost Anesthetic Powder from Hua Tuo centuries ago!

The legends about Anesthetic Powder in history are incredibly mystical, almost like it was the earliest anesthetic in the world.

Besides Anesthetic Powder, there’s also Anesthetic Soup.

What’s magical about Anesthetic Soup?

According to legend, Anesthetic Soup only needs to be ingested to anesthetize the entire body without needing any tracheal, intubation or other care measures, and it’s safe and effective.

A world-class anesthetic like this, none can be found anywhere!

His brain was running at lightning speed, and within just a dozen seconds, Lin Tian understood the stakes involved.

Whether it’s Anesthetic Powder or Anesthetic Soup, they will create a huge uproar in world medicine, possibly even overturning the position of ancient medicine. Of course, it will also offend a large number of people!

Who are they?

Those who worship Western medicine, big pharmaceutical businesses that built their empires on Western medicine. They would surely resent Lin Tian and ancient medicine to the core.

But even if they hate him, what’s the big deal? Lin Tian doesn’t think they can harm him in any way.

Even if Anesthetic Soup and Anesthetic Powder are priceless treasures, could you monopolize them? Although it’s highly profitable, that’s not his original intention at all. Moreover, that fire that burned the formula of Anesthetic Powder back then troubled many medical scholars.

Publishing Anesthetic Powder and Anesthetic Soup, not for riches but for the ages!

In fact, Lin Tian might also become a legendary figure in medical history like Hua Tuo, Li Shizhen, and Bian Que.

Of course, at that time, Hu Gaofei, who would be listed as a mentor, would also benefit greatly from it; he probably wouldn’t want to miss such a chance.

Right now, Hu Gaofei doesn’t know what Lin Tian’s plan is, but through these two test papers in front of him, he can tell that the content must be exciting, and the possibility of getting published in ”Lancet” will be much higher.

Next, Zhao Xuefeng took over the conversation, telling Lin Tian: ”The exams will be ending in the next two days, and due to internship placement issues, the results will be out within three days. Good performers will be able to choose internships, and I think you should be one of them.”

Lin Tian nodded gently, knowing this all along. He’s also considering whether to ease up a bit in the future exams, at least not writing something so sensational; otherwise, what if the subject teachers are all stunned and want to talk to him?

Zhao Xuefeng didn’t know what Lin Tian was thinking at the moment; he continued, ”You should have no problem with the internship, right?”

As he spoke, Zhao Xuefeng wore a warm and genuine smile, sincerely hoping that Lin Tian would follow him and help expand and enhance this new department.

Zhao Xuefeng is Lin Tian’s most respected deputy leader, so Lin Tian naturally wouldn’t refute his words, nodding in agreement: ”Sure, as long as I have the time.”

This isn’t pretending to be important; genuinely worried about any unforeseen circumstances that might prevent leaving, which would be frustrating.

Zhao Xuefeng also knows of Lin Tian’s connection with Luoyan Dock; him agreeing is already quite good and understandable. After all, a cultivator in ancient martial arts rarely cares about these matters.

The three used tea as wine, and chatted for quite a while. Lin Tian also noticed that this Mr. Hu’s temperament was quite like Zhao Xuefeng’s.

He wants to publish a paper in ”Lancet,” for personal reasons, but genuinely also like Zhao Xuefeng, wanting to contribute to ancient medicine. After all, to publish in ”Lancet,” merely Lin Tian’s fame is quite low, but adding Hu Gaofei would be different, he has some reputation in the medical field, and adding Zhao Xuefeng would be even better.

Because some magazines can’t just publish articles at will, they need strength and fame to support it.

While the three were chatting enthusiastically, Zhao Qingtang with her short hair in a three-seven split elegantly stood at the door, gently knocked twice, and said, ”Grandfather, Mr. Hu, Lin Tian, it’s time to eat.”

”Haha, let’s go eat, the study door wasn’t closed, I’ve smelled sister-in-law’s cooking aroma long ago, finally ready.” Hu Gaofei laughed heartily.

Zhao Xuefeng also put down his teacup, nonchalantly saying, ”I knew you were here for a meal.”

”Hahaha.” Hu Gaofei laughed even more heartily.

Lin Tian kept his gaze on the short-haired Zhao Qingtang at the door, thinking if he wrote a thesis on Anesthetic Powder, perhaps Zhao Qingtang would be a great partner. By then handing over the formula for Anesthetic Powder and Anesthetic Soup to her, letting her draft the paper, and then getting Hu Gaofei and Zhao Xuefeng for approval, it should all be flawless.

Why let Zhao Qingtang draft it?

Because Lin Tian has little experience with papers, finds them annoying, and secretly, it fulfills his personal agenda. Hasn’t Zhao Qingtang always been dedicated to developing ancient medicine? Let her be named as the second author, the benefits will be equally significant.

Of course, this was just preliminary thinking; a lot needs to be discussed with Zhao Qingtang.

Zhao Xuefeng and Hu Gaofei stood up realizing Lin Tian was still seated, his gaze fixed on Zhao Qingtang standing gracefully at the door, without blinking, as if mesmerized.

Zhao Qingtang noticed Lin Tian’s gaze, immediately her cheeks turned as red as the evening glow on the horizon, while her heart raced. She pondered: Does he like short-haired girls?
