The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 1151: Chapter 1151: Story-Driven Advertisement

Yu Qianming was a great director and also a very accomplished artist.

Most artists have one thing in common: they have their own preferred style, they can take advice, but they really hate it when others boss them around, telling them: You ought to do this, you should do that.

And Lin Tian, this guy, was even more annoying, as if he came here just to mess things up!

He flipped through the script casually, didn’t even give it a serious look and just said the script wouldn’t do!

Wasn’t this just finding fault in perfection?

Since becoming famous, Yu Qianming rarely encountered such difficult people to serve.

If he hadn’t known this guy was a celebrity and also a shareholder of Qiansimei, Yu Qianming would have asked his assistant to kick him out.

Yu Qianming laid down the script, clasped his hands together on the table, and with an ambiguous smile, asked, ”So what does Mr. Lin think, how should we shoot it?”

He was smiling, but everyone could tell that the director was unhappy, very unhappy!

Even his assistant took two steps back, afraid of getting caught in the crossfire, wondering what this artistic madman might do when he went crazy.

Lin Tian tapped the table lightly with his fingers, and closed his eyes as if deep in thought, as though he had come up with a good idea.

Everyone just looked at him, ’patiently’ waiting.

Finally, Lin Tian opened his eyes, and under everyone’s expectant gaze, he said, ”I haven’t thought of it yet.”

Listen to him, so self-righteous, disgraceful.

Yu Qianming almost spat out a mouthful of old blood, ”You haven’t thought of it?!”

”Mm.” Lin Tian nodded, looked at Yu Qianming and said, ”You should know, inspiration is something that flashes in your mind briefly - if you don’t catch it, it’ll slip away.”

”So what do you mean, Mr. Lin? Are we all supposed to wait until you come up with something before we start shooting?” Yu Qianming said coldly.

Even if Lin Tian couldn’t think of anything, even if he did, Yu Qianming probably wouldn’t follow his ideas. He didn’t like this guy. What good advice could a guy who talks without a hint of responsibility offer?

”Let’s continue discussing these scripts. As for Mr. Lin, let’s wait until you have ideas to say more.” Yu Qianming said.

The meaning in his words was obvious: he wanted Lin Tian to shut up!

Though not said explicitly, everyone knew it well.

Lin Tian also knew that this director was quite unhappy, but he wasn’t angry. What he did earlier did seem a bit unreasonable.

Yu Qianming had already signed a contract with Qiansimei, and if this advertisement was not completed within the time limit, he would have to pay an expensive penalty.

Besides, Lin Tian was not only a shareholder of Qiansimei but also Yan Xinrou’s man. So what he said was definitely influential! He could completely force Yu Qianming to do things his way. But that would be rather counterproductive, as the director’s attitude and emotions greatly affect the outcome of the work.

After thinking it over, Lin Tian asked, ”Mr. Yu, do you believe there are geniuses in the world?”

Yu Qianming was stunned for a moment, then mockingly said, ”Of course I do, aren’t you a genius? The top scorer in the unified examination, a genius in ancient medicine, you have quite the reputation. But, it doesn’t work here for me!”

”Haha, asking you that had no other intent, I just wanted to say that my reading speed is several times that of an average person, so I have already read the two scripts very carefully, I’m not trying to cause trouble, nor am I targeting you, I just purely found the scripts unsatisfactory.” Lin Tian said calmly.

”Even so, you still have to come up with a feasible script, right?” Yu Qianming said expressionlessly, returning to the previous question.

Lin Tian nodded, then turned his head to look at Bai Shishi and asked, ”Which product are we filming this time?”

”...”

Everyone was speechless again, this guy didn’t even know what was being filmed and yet he was speaking out so boldly!

Wasn’t this too much?!

”Mr. Lin, didn’t you say your reading speed is faster than average and you’ve already read the script? Why are you asking such a foolish question?” Yu Qianming sneered again, was this guy contradicting himself?

Lin Tian shrugged and said helplessly, ”But what I got was just the script, it doesn’t mention at all which product it is.”

Yu Qianming looked at him in confusion.

”See for yourself if you don’t believe me.” Lin Tian tossed the script to him.

Yu Qianming flipped it open and looked carefully, and indeed...

Actually, it wasn’t their fault either; the real script was word processed, this was a directly printed draft, inside there was only the story, and if no one in the story proactively mentioned the product, this situation arose.

Yu Qianming showed an awkward face and said, ”This was indeed our oversight, this time we’re shooting an ad for White Lotus Muscle Powder.”

”White Lotus Muscle Powder?” Lin Tian muttered, repeating it, then turned to Bai Shishi and asked, ”Isn’t this already quite popular domestically? Why is there a need for more advertising?”

”It’s definitely necessary, now White Lotus Muscle Powder is mostly popular among certain circles, while in the circles of ordinary people its name is high but not well understood. Moreover, in the future, we’ll need to expand to overseas markets.” Bai Shishi replied.

”So the other two product ads need to be shot too?” Lin Tian asked.

Bai Shishi nodded, ”Yes, because they’re all independent products, each one needs an ad.”

Lin Tian lowered his head in thought, after a moment, he said, ”I do have an idea.”

”What?” Bai Shishi asked curiously.

Yu Qianming was dismissive but didn’t say anything.

”Since each product needs an ad, why not film them like sequels, with each ad having a related storyline?” Lin Tian said, then looked at Bai Shishi’s expression and continued, ”Also, we should incorporate some subtle elements in the ads, they can’t be too empty. People should find joy even after watching it multiple times.”

Bai Shishi’s eyes lit up, she smiled, ”That’s a great idea, quite innovative. Pan Die, what do you think?”

Jiang Pan Die also smiled and nodded, ”I also think it’s a good idea, sounds interesting.”

Bai Shishi slapped the table, ”Then it’s decided.”

Yu Qianming was dumbfounded, is it decided just like this? Wasn’t he supposed to be the director? Getting ignored like this, was that alright?

Bai Shishi raised a brow and glanced at the great director, smiled, ”Mr. Yu, do you have any objections?”

Yu Qianming wanted to say he had objections, lots of them!

But on second thought, he had already signed the contract, and the other side was the sponsor, so he had to go by what they said, which was written in black and white in the contract. If he objected, things might get ugly, it was likely that Mr. Bai was giving him a way out by asking this question.

Moreover... this kid’s idea wasn’t bad either.
