The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 484: Chapter 484: Roadside Terror

Looking at that lighter, Lin Tian stomped on it.

”Bang~” The lighter shattered upon impact, revealing a black eavesdropping device inside, which was now broken as well.

”It was that woman from earlier!” Wu Yong exclaimed in shock.

Lin Tian sighed, ”That was actually a man, didn’t you notice his Adam’s apple?”

”What? A man?” Wu Yong’s expression turned bizarre.

”Alright, that woman, no, that man—next time we see him, we’ll deal with him.” Lin Tian, afraid he’d hurt himself from holding back laughter, quickly changed the subject, ”Is the car ready for pickup?”

Wu Yong still looked awkward as he nodded, ”The car was ready for pickup the day we paid for it. Your driver’s license just came through a few days ago, and the license plate was put on the day before yesterday. What do you think? Isn’t the number impressive?”

Lin Tian hadn’t paid attention to the license plate earlier, hearing this, he tilted his head to look.

’Tian A66666’

A striking license plate coupled with such a dashing car was bound to attract a lot of attention, wasn’t it?

”Wow, this license plate is really something! Where did you get such a fantastic plate?”

Lin Tian was truly startled; a license plate like this is priceless, and money alone can’t buy it unless you’re someone important—otherwise, who could afford it?

”Guess.” Wu Yong teased.

”You didn’t buy it, did you?” Liou Qingcheng frowned, ”That would be such a waste of money!”

Wu Yong waved his hand, ”How could I? I’m not someone important, and even if I had the money, I couldn’t buy it. Also, I don’t have the money. This license plate was arranged by Miss Bai for you. How impressive is that?”

Lin Tian’s face immediately darkened. This big fool Wu Yong had to bring up Bai Shishi in front of Liou Qingcheng, wasn’t he dooming me?

Liou Qingcheng didn’t seem to mind; she patted Lin Tian on the shoulder and said with satisfaction, ”It looks like your sister treats you well.”

Lin Tian dryly chuckled and didn’t dare to respond.

At this time, Wu Yong took out a small brown notebook from his pocket, handed it to Lin Tian, and said, ”Here, this is your driver’s license.”

Lin Tian took it, opened it for a glance, saw his picture and name, then placed it in the car and sat in the driver’s seat.

Liou Qingcheng jumped in surprise, quickly asking, ”Do you know how to drive?”

Lin Tian made an okay gesture, ”Rest assured, my driving skills are fine.”

Truth be told, Lin Tian had only driven three times before, and that was back at the Xianglong Tea House.

But he was no ordinary person; during the last days of the final exams, he could remember things from books pretty quickly. Learning to drive was just a simple matter.

Even though he’d driven only three times, Lin Tian was confident his driving skills were top-notch.

After buying the car, he reviewed some road theory knowledge, firmly kept in his mind, so there was no worry of getting penalized on the road.

Wu Yong swallowed hard, then sat in the back of the car, fastened his seatbelt, and reminded, ”Tian, drive slower.”

”Don’t worry!”

As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he turned the key, pulled the handbrake, lifted the clutch, accelerated, shifted gears...

The series of smooth maneuvers had no pause; he looked like a professional seasoned driver.

Sitting inside the car, Lin Tian could only hear a bit of the Panamera’s engine, as the car’s soundproofing and shock absorption were excellent.

Though there was only a slight sound, Lin Tian could still feel a surge of adrenaline, making him excited.

Finally, he had his own car.

Mei Ruyan’s driving skills were incredible. He found out during the last rescue operation for Bai Shishi when she sped through the complex city center at a speed of 120, truly opening Lin Tian’s eyes.

Although it was his fourth time driving, thanks to his mid-level martial artist reflexes and x-ray vision, Lin Tian could manage it easily, even better than Mei Ruyan!

But he didn’t do anything so exaggerated; it had been an urgent situation last time, but it wasn’t necessary to be so conspicuous this time. Although he could ensure his safety, it would still trouble others.

Like when Mei Ruyan drove so fast last time, the road soon became chaotic, causing a jam that lasted three hours, the inconvenience to others was obvious.

The speed limit on the road was 80 mph, and Lin Tian drove exactly at 80 mph; whether overtaking or changing lanes, his speed didn’t increase or decrease, controlled as if the speedometer needle wouldn’t move at all.

Liou Qingcheng and Wu Yong were terrified by his reckless driving skills, repeatedly shouting, ”Slower, slower.”

But Lin Tian, happily driving, wasn’t listening, whistling while shaking his head, looking very content.

The car quickly left the city center, heading toward the villa.

Just as Lin Tian relaxed, a blue eight-wheel pickup truck approached head-on, suddenly swerving toward the Panamera’s hood.

It was a truck loaded to the brim with cargo. Both vehicles were traveling at high speed, and if they collided...

Without a doubt, it would at least result in serious injuries, maybe even death inside the car, as this car hadn’t been modified and its defense was too weak.

Being a mid-level martial artist, when the truck veered toward them, Lin Tian sensed something was off, quickly turning the steering wheel while gently stepping on the brake.

Screech...

The Panamera’s left wheel suddenly lifted, while the right wheel scraped the ground, creating a long drift mark and emitting a burnt smell, but the Panamera’s body flashed by, and Lin Tian and the others didn’t catch the scent.

The two cars passed so closely, they nearly touched.

However, they ended up on the roadside. If Lin Tian had reacted a second slower, they would have crashed into a tree.

This scene greatly frightened Liou Qingcheng, but fortunately, Lin Tian remained calm and turned the steering wheel back in time, otherwise, they really would have crashed.

Lin Tian looked in the rearview mirror, discovering the vehicle had vanished; at the fork with three roads, he didn’t know which way it went, so catching up was impossible.

”What’s with that car? It suddenly went crazy. Damn, what bad luck.” Wu Yong cursed under his breath.

Lin Tian’s mood turned heavy, speaking softly, ”That car just now did it on purpose.”

Wu Yong and Liou Qingcheng couldn’t see it, but Lin Tian saw it clearly— the driver of that truck wore a baseball cap, the brim covering his face well, but Lin Tian, with his x-ray vision, saw his face clearly and remembered it firmly in his mind, along with his expressionless eyes filled only with killing intent!

”What? He did it on purpose?” Liou Qingcheng shrieked; having lived a sheltered life, she had never experienced such a frightening scene.

She anxiously said, ”Was your injury from the accident at the hospital also someone deliberately running into you?”

This was the excuse Lin Tian gave for his hospitalization; he didn’t expect Liou Qingcheng to bring it up again now.

Lin Tian nodded gently, ”Sort of.”

Liou Qingcheng was panicking, tears streaming down her once smiling face, ”Who? Who is trying to hurt you? I won’t let them get away with it!”

Lin Tian had a sudden insight and said, ”You know about the police crackdown on the underground forces in Kanyue City a few nights ago, right?”

Liou Qingcheng nodded, looking at him with tearful eyes, ”Was it them?”

Actually, Lin Tian didn’t know who it was, but at this moment, he could only let Du Dahai take the blame.

”It was them. The police received my intel, but luck was on their side; some people got away, so now they have the chance to retaliate against me.”
