Chapter 445: Red Throne and Arnulf the Special

”So donʼt think Iʼm joking...”

Hearing the words that are coming from Rexʼs mouth makes Margaret quiver while holding the katana stabbing her chest, she regrets acting confident and bold to Rex.

Itʼs true that Daniel Burton is her father, but sheʼs nothing but a bastard daughter.

Even if Rex killed her right here right now, Daniel will probably attack them later but he will not be reckless since his wife doesnʼt know about any of this.

Rex can just use that card against Daniel if he really had to,

But since Daniel is a business partner and also one of the good head families in the 25 Golden Crest, Rex decided to honor his request but Margaret is pushing the line.

With a meek voice, Margaret then said, ”Iʼm sorry for acting out of line...”

”Please forgive me, I canʼt leave my children alone so please donʼt kill me”, she added pleadingly.

Sensing that Edward was about to say something, Rex raises his hand before he replied coldly, ”If youʼre sorry then do as I said, sign the papers and hand all of the Atkins Family wealth to me”

”O-Okay, I will...”, Margaret replied before Rex signaled to someone.

Thereʼs a man standing by the door,

Upon seeing Rex signaling to him, the man then approaches Rex with a black suitcase in his hand that should be the papers Rex is talking about.

After the man takes out the papers, Rex grabbed the katana and pulls it out.

The blood gushed out of Margaretʼs chest as the katana got pulled out, she groans a little but she can only grit her teeth and scatter to the papers.

Jane helped her to sign the papers while the boy cries on the side,

Edward who is watching this from the back approach the boy before he lifts him up gently,

Looking at Edward who is approaching, the boy becomes even tearier but didnʼt put any fight as Edward then heads to the door intending to leave the place.

”What are you doing with my brother?”, Jane asks from the back.

Hearing this, Edward smiled reassuringly as he replied, ”Itʼs bad for your brother to see this, Iʼll just be outside until the matters here are done. Donʼt worry, I wonʼt do anything to him”

With that, Edward left with the little boy.

Rex went back to sit on the single sofa while waiting for Margaret to sign the papers,

Because of Rexʼs sharp and fierce eyes that are watching her like an eagle watching its prey, Margaret didnʼt hesitate to sign the papers at all.

About ten minutes later, Margaret suddenly stopped.

”Why are you stopping? I donʼt have all day”, Rex said from the side.

Margaret holds a piece of paper before she raises her gaze to look at Rex hesitatingly, she then mutters, ”I-Including all our assets? Will you not leave us anything?”

”In my point of view, Iʼm generous enough...”, Rex said nonchalantly.

Hearing this, Margaret raises one of her brows before Rex added, ”I left the three of you with your lives, and I believe that is infinitely more valuable than your wealth”

”Or am I wrong?”, Rex grabbed the Amuerus Katana by the handle.

Since the katana is stabbed right beside the sofa heʼs sitting on with Margaretʼs blood still decorating it, this slight display clenched Margaretʼs heart.

This makes Margaret and Janeʼs bodies tense,

Although what Rex said is true, they both still hesitate but seeing Rexʼs ruthless display from before makes Margaret shakes her head and signs the asset allocation.

Each one of the assets the Atkins Family had will be transferred to Rex,

In another ten minutes, Margaret finished signing the papers as the man glanced at Rex before nodding his head, ”Our business together is done”

”Now you can leave my mansion”, Rex added.

Biting their lips, Jane helped Margaret to stand up before they both bowed fearfully and left the mansion just like Rex ordered.

This place now belongs to Rex, not the Atkins Family anymore.

”Iʼm not really on board for letting them leave like this”, Kyran mutters from the side.

Hearing this, Rex chuckles since he knows where Kyran is coming from, ”They might try to seek revenge, but I doubt they will succeed. Let them try all they want”

”Do you want me to make sure they wonʼt come after us?”, Kyran asks from the side.

But Rex shakes his head, there are other things to handle first that are way more important than the remaining Atkins.

With the display before, Rex also doubts they will attack them in the near future.

”Get used to your power, thatʼs what I want you to do”, Rex said commandingly.

He then glance at Adhara and added, ”You too Adhara, get stronger. We will be going to the Supernatural territory, and I want you both to be ready”

Now that the main problems have finished, itʼs time to move on to the next.

Upon hearing this, Adhara nodded her head as she know it was time for them to save Rosie after finishing the matters to protect their parents.

Rosieʼs condition is unknown, but they clung to the hope that sheʼs at least alive.

When Rex was about to call someone,

Kyran stopped in his tracks before he turned toward Rex again, he then said, ”Rex, I think thereʼs something that you should see first”

Hearing this, Rex stopped before he follows Kyran.

On the second floor where a hallway with about six or seven doors is located, Kyran leads Rex to the door at the end of the hallway on the left which looks different.

Unlike the other white with golden linings doors, this one has a shade of red.

”What is in this door, Kyran?”, Rex asks curiously.

Without answering Rex,

Kyran opens the door revealing a spacious room decorated with many heads of Supernaturals, red and golden carpet starts from the door all the way to an elevated seat in the middle.

But thatʼs not the most eye-catching part,

Rexʼs eyes fall onto the seat that looks like a throne and levitating in the air, it is carved beautifully in golden color with the top of the throne shaped like majestic two wings and handles the shape of an eagle.

He squints his eyes upon seeing this,

Just from a glance at this golden throne, Rex realized that itʼs not a normal seat.

His eyes glisten before he scans the golden throne,

It is an eighth-rank item that will grant an ability called Eagle Mind to the one that sits on it, this ability will allow seeing a place that the one sitting on the throne has visited before through the manifestation eyes of an eagle in the sky. The one sitting on the throne will also be granted a 20% increase in mana absorption and 5% proficiency in Spirit Meditation.

Upon reading this, Rex was surprised to see that such an item lies in this place.

Not only does the item is a powerful eighth-rank item, the benefit it brings for the one sitting on the throne is very useful, especially the Eagle Mind.

But the Spirit Meditation part confused Rex,

If Rex were to guess, Spirit Meditation must be something related to achieving the eighth rank but thatʼs just a guess so heʼs not sure.

Without any hesitation, Rex then walks slowly towards the golden throne.

Rex jumps on a couple of stairs that lead to the golden throne before he turns around, he then looks at Kyran before slowly sitting on the golden throne.

Swish!

A surge of subtle energy flows from the golden throne,

Under Kyranʼs eyes, the golden throne started changing right after Rex sat on it.

The entire mansion slowly turns from white and golden color into red and brown instead, somehow the throne molds the entire house as if itʼs adapting to Rex.

Itʼs very surprising that even Rex was caught off guard,

All of the insides such as the furniture, ornaments, and even the outsides of the mansion changed almost instantly, the subtle surge of energy from the golden throne enveloped the entire mansion.

Even the people that are outside were surprised to see this,

Rex and Kyran marvel at the scene as after the entire mansion changes, the golden throne Rex is sitting on also changed color into red and golden.

The process didnʼt take long and after it finished, the surge of energy dispersed.

Adhara who also saw these changes went inside the room and saw Rex sitting on the blood-red throne, he was sitting with a surprised look.

”What happened to the mansion?”, she asks in confusion.

Hearing this, Rex also shakes his head as he replied, ”Itʼs the throne Iʼm sitting on”

”Somehow when I sat on it the mansion turned like this, but so far I didnʼt feel anything changed drastically except for the appearance of the mansion”

After briefly talking, Adhara and Kyran left the room.

Rex is left all alone in this room that has turned darker because of the red and brown color, he then feels the throne and finds some energy connecting to his back.

It makes him feel a bit different, but heʼs sure that itʼs the throne effect.

With a wave of his hand, Rex activates his sky black lightning element before he finds that his absorption rate is just as the description said increased by 20%.

The increase can be felt directly in his body,

If Rex was to have this throne during his early times as an Awakened, his growth will be insurmountable especially if he amplifies it with a Mana Charm Elixir.

ʼLetʼs test this throne abilityʼ, Rex thought.

Rex closes his eyes before he focuses his mind to see the inside of his room in Faraday University, and after a bit of blackness, something surprising happened.

In his mind, he can see the top of Faraday University as if heʼs an eagle.

The students walking around Faraday University can be seen from above, itʼs just like watching a CCTV from the sky that covers the entire university.

He needs to run tests using this ability but from this alone, Rex is quite happy.

Seeing a place just like an eagle from the sky, the throneʼs ability gave Rex quite a bit of shock, ʼIt allows me to have a vision like this? Too bad I canʼt see the places I havenʼt been beforeʼ

From the systemʼs description, the throneʼs ability has one flaw.

Although Rex can see a place as if heʼs an eagle from above, he can only view places that heʼs actually been there before.

Places like the Supernatural territory canʼt be viewed,

Rex then went back to the top of Faraday University again in his mind, ʼCan I get a closer look? Maybe to get inside the university?ʼ

Just as he thought of that, he tries to look inside his room.

Itʼs like literally being an eagle, Rex can flap his imaginary wings and get closer to the university.

But to his surprise, his head suddenly feel a very powerful pain that came out of nowhere before he jolted his eyes open as the ability canceled by itself.

ʼI need to train to use this, that hurt a lotʼ, Rex thought with a sigh albeit a bit excited.

Meanwhile,

Supernatural Territory, Scarlet Banes Kingdom Territory.

Ruston walks slowly into somekind of forest that is located outside of the actual Werewolf Kingdom, the trees around him are very thick.

The width is way bigger than his own body even though heʼs a Werewolf,

Heʼs currently walking on a very thick root that is above the bushes that can make one lost in them easily, the forest is also very quiet and damp.

There is not many living being that can be seen around here,

Only a couple of mutated squirrels with purple fur can be seen jumping around the trees, they look in Rustonʼs direction briefly before minding their business.

Even Ruston didnʼt do anything when one mutated squirrel went past him,

For a Werewolf that is very beastly and violent like him to let a mutated squirrel go past him like that is unthinkable, almost as if Ruston is avoiding these little creatures.

Not only that but other plants can also be seen around.

Purple plants are the most dominant plant in this forest as they can be seen all around that glows in the darkness of the night with a beautiful purple hue which is pleasing to see.

The purple plants can be seen everywhere,

Just like the mutated squirrels before, Ruston also avoids these purple plants.

Although there is an urgency in Rustonʼs expression while heʼs traveling through the forest, he still carefully watches where heʼs going.

Not long after, Ruston stopped before he looks around warily.

After confirming that no one is following him, Ruston jumped into a hole between tree roots that is clearly well hidden from anything passing by.

Splash!

The sound of splashing water can be heard as he landed,

Just after landing, Ruston immediately feel a presence as a pair of eyes emerge from the darkness that made him kneel in utter respect.

”Ruston... Why are you here?”, the pair of eyes said.

With light steps, the pair of eyes emerge from the darkness exposing its body.

From the dark aura surrounding the figureʼs body, the suppressing aura that even suppressed Rustonʼs body, this figure is definitely Zegrath.

Hearing this, Ruston then replied, ”My Prince... I brought news”

”The world has blessed us once again, Arnulf the Special has awakened from his slumber and immediately searches for you when he realized the Dark Prince is awake”

Zegrath frowned upon hearing this, ”Who is Arnulf the Special?”

”He is the loyal subject of th-”

Before Ruston can even finish his sentence,

BOOM!

The ground around them suddenly shook surprising both Zegrath and Ruston, they sensed a presence suddenly appeared above them.

Zegrath looks up with a frown as the presence is quite weak,

Feeling the presence, both Zegrath and Ruston jumped out of the hole they were in before they landed outside and saw a humongous creature.

Just from seeing the black furs and muscular body, the creature is definitely a Werewolf.

After sensing Zegrath and Ruston coming out of the hole, the unknown Werewolf glances back slowly exposing its devious glowing eyes and sharp fangs.

Ruston widen his eyes before he said, ”My Prince... This is Arnulf”

The Werewolf that has appeared out of nowhere turns out to be Arnulf, the one that Ruston came all the way to here just to bring the news to Zegrath.

Arnulfʼs body is at least one and a half sizes of Zegrathʼs,

His eyes are like jewels from the depth of hell itself, blood covering his mouth and arms but his bearing feels ordinary no matter how much Zegrath looks at him.

Zegrath widen his eyes when he saw the purple plants all over Arnulfʼs body.

But when Zegrath wanted to remind Arnulf, he was even more surprised to see the purple plants are not affecting Arnulfʼs body at all, ʼItʼs very poisonous, how can he not be affected?ʼ

Turns out the purple plants and even the purple squirrels are all poisonous,

One touch from them will corrode through even a Werewolfʼs regenerative ability which is why Ruston is very careful in traveling the forest, but Arnulf didnʼt seem to be bothered by it.

Before Zegrath can say anything,

Arnulf fixated its eyes on Zegrath and saw the dark energy coming from him.

Under Zegrathʼs eyes, Arnulf that is certainly not normal suddenly kneels on one knee just like meeting a king, ”My Prince... I have awakened and am ready to be of service for you”
