The Great Thief

After exiting the game, Lu Li put on his coat and left the bedroom.

The large living room was dead silent. Lu Li went into the kitchen, opened the refrigerator and took a bottle out. There was a note crookedly stuck onto the refrigerator door.

“I went out to play with Sister Huan. You have to work our dinner for yourself. Maybe go and have dinner with Sister snowy. You can do it big bro – bring home Sister snowy.”

Lu Li smiled and kicked his slippers off in the living room before snuggling into the soft sofa.

It had been almost a year since his rebirth.

He had been working tirelessly to save his sister and his own fate, but now, he just couldn’t get enough. He felt like there was always another thing to pursue.

If someone had asked him in his previous lifetime whether he would pursue Water Fairy…

He would feel like this person was just making fun of him. It would be like when two people are just chatting, and one person would say something that was obviously impossible for the other to do – like going up to heaven. However, given the development of technology, even going up to heaven would be easier than convincing Water Fairy to become his wife.

Even now, there were many people who thought that he wasn’t worthy of Water Fairy.

However, he didn’t feel inferior.

He had long since gotten over this sense of inferiority. He had accomplished so many things this year that it was the strongest he had ever felt. Not only was he doing increasingly more operationally complicated things, but he was also solving more complex problems. His self-confidence had actually increased significantly.

By the time Lu Li finally understood what he wanted, he had already started work on it.

He wanted to create a gaming club that would pass onto future generations!

Not only was this his career ambition, but it was also the standard by which he thought he would deserve Water Fairy.

When a man and a woman were together, the woman was able to be proud of the man’s power. However, men were usually unable to accept women that were more powerful than themselves. Some people called this trait masculinity, and Lu Li was obviously a male chauvinist.

It wasn’t just a simple question of who was better.

He could easily ignore the taunts coming externally, but he still had to face his own heart.

So, after thinking for a few days, he decided that he needed to work hard in achieving the First Clear in the next public Instance Dungeon.

For a new club, there was nothing better than competing in competitions.

However, Lu Li wasn’t confident about their chances in the competition. Although they had won the championship before, they still had to consider that luck played a significant part. Lu Li felt that it would be a good achievement if they could stay in the top three in the next season.

Moreover, Dawn was completely different from the previous games.

In the previous games, as long as a club competed well, they would inevitably become a household name. However, in Dawn, more players were interested in Instance Dungeon research, story quests, and Trade Skills. Not to mention, there were many people that just played for fun.

Compared with the huge number of people playing, the number of people who were concerned with e-sports was a small minority.

Therefore, the major clubs had to find ways to improve their popularity. It was only then that they would attract sponsors and investors, which meant they could recruit their own professional players and finally start making money.

Obtaining First Clears on Bosses was an essential part of that process.

There were Instance Dungeon Boss First Clears and Wild Boss First Clears. Ruling Sword’s foundations were still superficial, so their Wild Boss attempts could still be stolen by others. Even if they succeeded in fighting off other players, the cost of such a battle was just not worth it.

The Instance Dungeon First Clear was different. Even though they had to spend some money, it was still worthwhile in the end.

Ruling Sword wanted to represent themselves as being the best, so they couldn’t get lazy with the First Clears.

When Glory Capital had established themselves in that position, they had also set a number of new records. The other clubs didn’t even stand a chance for years, and could only compete for second place.

The current Ruling Sword still had many deficiencies when compared to Glory Capital. Glory Capital had killed a few hundred more Wild Bosses than Ruling Sword, but Ruling Sword had more Instance Dungeon First Clears.

After all, even if the little Red Dragon wasn’t easy to defeat, Glory Capital could still complete Blackwing’s Nest hundreds or even thousands of times. The amount of equipment they accrued from this process was scary to even think about.

Ruling Sword’s Elite group wouldn’t be able to do the same thing for a long time. However, for the time being, achieving the Instance Dungeon First Clear was more important.

The advantage that Lu Li had by being reborn would only last for three years. If he didn’t use the Instance Dungeon strategies that he knew in these three years, then they would be condemned to their fate. In this world, there were no two lives or careers that started from the same place. You needed to take advantage of what you had as soon as possible.

The little Red Dragon and Blackwing’s Nest’s Bosses had been nerfed, so Lu Li knew that there would be a lot of clubs looking to complete the Dungeon this week. However, many people would also be attempting the new Instance Dungeon.

The new Instance Dungeon was located in Stranglethorn Vale, where Glory Capital had their Stronghold.

The Stranglethorn Value Stronghold wasn’t far from the new Instance Dungeon. The potions and equipment repairs were cheaper here than in Booty Bay, so everyone was more than happy to gather there.

Glory Capital also took the opportunity to hold some promotional activities by giving out some of their accumulated potions and equipment. This gave a newfound sense of admiration for the guild, and temporarily silenced their critics.

Lu Li walked along the spacious streets of the Stronghold and felt envious.

He looked at the building materials, the designs and the goods available. These were things that Ruling Sword couldn’t afford; they just didn’t have the human and material resources for it.

It was said Glory Capital had expanded this Stronghold northwards. They had even signed several large Mercenary Groups to help them with it. In this corporate era, Lu Li had to keep on moving forwards to avoid getting crushed.

There were many people looking for quests and clues about the Instance Dungeon in Stranglethorn Vale.

Lu Li left the place after having a look at Sorrowless’ Stronghold. Zul’gurub’s Instance Dungeon quests were not vital, but they would provide some benefits. Everyone was looking for clues in the map where the Instance Dungeon was located, but they were barking up the wrong tree.

Lu Li called Hachi Chan over, and entered Tanaris’ coordinates.

First, they needed to visit Gadgetzan, then travel to Hot Sand Harbour.

The Hot Sand Harbour was a small village that was the gathering place of Goblins and Trolls. There were also some other creatures that would visit the area. Most of them spent their time fishing and fighting Southshore Sea Pirates. This was a neutral location and anyone could visit. This further demonstrated that Goblins would do anything for money.

The trolls here were naturally neutral as well, and players in the Alliance could even communicate and get quests from them.

The Goblin’s quests were more easily triggered, while the Troll’s quests were a little more difficult. As the former masters of the continent who had now fallen and needed to rely on these greedy Goblins to survive, the Trolls were still apprehensive towards outsiders.

Fortunately, Lu Li had brought a Hachi Chan.
