The Great Thief

After the Main Tank died, the other players had no way of escaping death. They could run out of the Instance Dungeon, but that would take too long. Other than Lu Li, who could go into Stealth, everyone else was just waiting to get killed by the Boss.

“Dammit, that scared me.”

Azure Sea Breeze was still little scared even after getting revived. When he kicked a pile of bones, he didn’t receive the Bone Armor like everyone else did. Instead, a pillar of fire appeared which shocked him into forgetting that he was kiting the Boss and also dealt significant damage to him. Poor Azure Sea Breeze was the reason they got wiped again.

This Boss really tested the ability of Defense professions.

However, after the group had been wiped three times, everyone basically understood what Rattlegore did. It only had two tricks – Rust and Bone Needle. The former was used against the Main Tank, which forced him to kite. The latter was for everyone, but it wasn’t a problem with Bone Armor.

The duration of Bone Armor was only 15 seconds, so the players had to ensure that their Armor was replenished on time.

Moreover, in the process of acquiring the Bone Armor, there was a chance that it could be a trap.

Soul Flame: The soul of the bones like to afflict the living. Periodically, a flame will arise from the heap of bones which deals significant fire damage. The area around it will also be covered by flames that will expand over time.

This meant that not all the bone piles were safe.

The fire damage from the bones was very high, so if the player didn’t escape in time, there was a possibility that they would spread the fire to the others.

If they were burned by the fire, the plan was to cast their damage reduction skill while the healers focused on them.

The group still got wiped a few more times after that, mainly because of the traps.

Luck was also an important factor. After getting wiped five to six times, Ruling Sword managed to defeat Rattlegore through the sacrifice of a few players.

By this time, Glory Capital had been wiped by Rattlegore for the second time.

Remnant Dream found a piece of a set and was beaming from ear to ear.

“Thief T0, Shadowcraft Boots. Lu Li, these are yours.”

Lu Li had previously told her that the probability of getting Epic equipment from Scholomance was very small – even finding Dark Gold equipment was difficult. However, the most valuable equipment they could get were the Dark Gold set equips, as each could be sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

“I don’t want it. I gave all the previous ones to other people in the guild,” Lu Li refused.

He had already planned to collect the Thief’s T1 set which was the Nightslayer set. The T0 set could be upgraded to T0.5, but this took time and effort. The set pieces that he had previously acquired had been left in the hands of Cain’s Left Hand.

“I can’t believe you would reject this item,” Remnant Dream snorted and frowned.

Just as she was about to loot the Boss again, the environment quietly changed as a group of Flesh Horrors suddenly appeared in the room.

The others were in a daze but Lu Li immediately reacted.

“Plate Armor Professions, take the aggro. Hachi Chan ,cast Tranquility after casting your damage reduction skills.”

He felt a little bitter as he gave out those instructions. Why did the hidden Boss, Doctor Theolen Krastinov, who only had a 1% chance of appearing, decide to appear now?

Normally, if they ran into a Hidden Boss, they would be excited.

However, they were currently competing against Glory Capital, and it took a long time to fight a Boss like this. Although Lu Li was certain that he would defeat Sorrowless, he wasn’t arrogant enough to regard him as someone to be taken lightly.

Hachi Chan had a quest related to Doctor Theolen Krastinov.

The quest was generally quite difficult to complete, not because Doctor Theolen Krastinov was hard to fight, but because he was a Hidden Boss. If a player’s luck was bad, they might never see him.

With so many monsters spawning in the group, there was just no time to escape.

If they did not fight in an organized fashion, they were bound to get wiped.

The professional training that they had all received allowed everyone to react quickly. The Plate Armor profession players quickly took the aggro of the Flesh Horrors onto themselves while the Cloth Amor professions tried to avoid getting attacked as best as they could.

Even so, they lost two teammates in this first wave of attacks.

March Rain and Sakura Memories were sandwiched in the middle of a group of monsters, and it became too crowded to escape.

“Hold them. Main Tank, pay attention and cast damage reduction as necessary. Hachi Chan, focus on healing. Don’t save anyone yet; let me do that,” Lu Li instructed as he ran over to March Rain to resurrect her. If Hachi Chan tried to save them, then Mu Qiu would be the only one healing.

After March Rain replaced Hachi Chan’s healing, Hachi Chan was free to resurrect Sakura Memories.

“Where are all these monsters coming from?”

At this time, no one knew what the Flesh Horrors were, and simply thought of them as monsters.

Only Lu Li knew the story behind the monsters created by Doctor Theolen Krastinov.

Doctor Theolen Krastinov was a Sorcerer. In the past, he had studied Frost Magic for a number of years but had an accident while conducting some tests. His wife was a mortal and died on the spot.

In the face of this devastation, Doctor Theolen Krastinov froze his wife’s bones and began to study Spirit Magic.

Unexpectedly, his talent for Spirit Magic was far greater than Frost Magic and he soon became the most powerful Spirit Mage in Lordaeron. Dean Martin eventually learned about him, so he sent out an invitation to meet him with a promise to revive his wife.

Doctor Theolen Krastinov then studied the Revival techniques taught by Dean Martin in Scholomance.

To this end, he had taken thousands of lives to experiment on, and received the title of the Butcher.

These bodies were made into flesh monsters, which were the Flesh Horrors that they were fighting. After these monsters were cleared, the Hidden Boss would make his appearance.

“Stop!” Lu Li shouted as the Flesh Horrors were about to all die.

Everyone was a bit confused, but still followed his instruction. There was only one monster left, and it was attacking Azure Sea Breeze.

“Regenerate your HP and Mana. I suspect that there will be something coming after we kill all these mobs. Dreamy, got and loot the body,” Lu Li said.
