The Great Thief

“Ruling Sword is finally going to lose!”

This was what everyone was thinking. In the first season of the professional league, both Lu Li and Moonlight had been killed on stage more than once. The others obviously had too – Dawn wasn’t a game where even the strongest players could get away without dying.

However, Ruling Sword had a definite level and equipment advantage. They had also never lost a team match before.

Lu Li was level 48, while the other players were all level 47. The Stellar Union players were, other than Twilight, all level 46. Although this level gap wasn’t as significant as a 3-5 level gap, it was still a gap nonetheless.

Ruling Sword had also taken so many First Clears that Epic and Dark Gold equipment weren’t even that rare to them. Some of their players who weren’t particularly skilled made up for this with their exquisite equipment.

However, they also made a lot of mistakes and combined with their current misfortunes, they were going to pay the price.

The Warrior and Hunter were waiting to deal with Kitty Likes Meat before heading back to watch Lu Li’s group of three fight. If they made it a five-on-three fight, Lu Li wouldn’t be able to stop them, even if he was level 50.

The commentators were speaking as they all witnessed this seemingly historic event.

There was something being said that was quite true. An undefeated team always had to prepare to failure, and no team could remain undefeated forever.

From the perspective of the audience, the dark room was more like a glass box. They could see everything that was happening. Naturally, they saw that the Tire Killer had immediately joined up with Twilight to intercept Lu Li’s group of three.

However, Kitty Likes Meat appeared on the field with a completely ignorant look.

She was a short distance from Lu Li and the others, but she was caught by the Warrior and Hunter on the way.

This time, even God was standing against Ruling Sword.

“Lu Li seems to have given up. In fact, if I were him, I would have gone to save Kitty Likes Meat. Mu Qiu and Moonlight are both Plate Armor players; they could have played defensively while they waited for him to return. It’s hard to say what the outcome would have been.”

Previously, the commentators would analyze every step that Lu Li took without question, but now, they suddenly had the guts to accuse him of making a mistake.

Ruling Sword hadn’t just been pushed against a wall – their divine reputation had also been shattered.

“I think the squishiest person in this battle now is March Rain. Her character development is just too risky. She probably hasn’t added a single point of Constitution, which is why she could die from just one rotation of skills,” the other commentator lamented.

Both commentators were quite young, and had a carefree time talking about whatever came to mind. However, they had completely forgotten about the warning their predecessors had given them about not putting the players’ abilities to question.

The reason those players were professionals was because they had been handpicked among countless others.

It was at this time that Kitty Likes Meat ran into the Warrior and the Hunter.

At about the same time, both sides noticed each other. After all, they were keeping vigilant, which meant that neither had the element of surprise. Basically, all three players cast their skills on their opponents at the same time.

The Warrior continued his approach as the Hunter attached from a distance. This situation wasn’t easy for a Warlock to deal with.

However, the scene that everyone was expected was slowly being subverted. Kitty Likes Meat constantly casted Fear on the Hunter as she dealt damage to the Warrior and kept walking. From the beginning until the end, she remained calm, completely unlike a girl her age.

If you were a knowledgeable player, you would have immediately realized what had happened.

This girl had the quality of a professional player!

However, Vincent was not a rookie either; he finally closed the distance and reached Kitty Likes Meat. Now, he was at an optimal range to use his melee attacks.

Kitty Likes Meat then cast another Crowd Control on the Hunter, as it was now impossible to prevent the Warrior from approaching her anyway.

All that she cast on the Warrior were a variety of debuffs that made him continually lose HP.

When all the players thought that she was going to die, she screamed as she turned into a cloud of smoke, becoming a tall demon.

This kind of demon could shoot fire and had a pair of wings.

Her Armor suddenly became far more resistant to the unprepared Warrior. She was also partially immune to Crowd Control effects, and her spell attacks had become melee-range. Additionally, her Attack damage had also been greatly improved.

Of course, there was a time limit to this transformation, but the duration was more than enough for her to fight for a few rounds with this Warrior and Hunter.

They were already unable to kill the Warlock in the first place. Now, the Warrior and Hunter found themselves in a particularly strange situation.

They quickly discovered that Kitty Likes Meat’s equipment was actually really good.

Initially, the Warrior thought that the debuffs he had were no big deal. At the very most, he would lose a bit of HP and could use his damage reduction skills if he really needed to. But in fact, he soon found that his HP was dropping far too rapidly.

How could it not? Kitty Likes Meat’s equipment would cause all the Magic Profession players in the stadium to bow down to her.

She was a Ruling Sword player, but she wasn’t Sesame Rice Ball or Lonesome Flower. There was no way that Lu Li would take their equipment to give to her, even if she was a professional player. They players of the guild would be disillusioned if they knew that had happened.

However, that didn’t mean that Sesame Rice Ball and Lonesome Flower had never lent equipment to Kitty Likes Meat.

That’s right, the key word here was ‘lend’. This way, Sesame Rice Ball’s or Lonesome Flower’s interests were not impeded on, but they could still pool the total strength of the club’s players.

Kitty Likes Meat was mostly wearing equipment that had come from both Sesame Rice Ball and Lonesome Flower.

Sesame Rice Ball and Lonesome Flower had joined the Xin Xin Mercenary Group right from the beginning, and had their names on most of the Instance Dungeons. Their equipment combined was more than good enough for a professional player.

Even Lu Li couldn’t say that he was much stronger than Kitty Likes Meat right now.

After the demon began its counterattack, she started applying pressure on these two players. This made the Warrior and Hunter start to regret not taking a healer with them.

“Vincent Big Bro, you should run!” Hunter Purple Sea yelled upon seeing that his teammate’s HP was quickly dropping. Now, the question wasn’t whether they could kill Kitty Likes Meat, but rather whether the Warrior could survive.

“Dammit, I can’t believe this is happening,” Vincent sighed depressingly as he thought about killing himself.

The two young commentators also felt the same. They were now sitting in the commentating box sheepishly, with no idea how to continue talking about this situation.
