Chapter 735: Main Quest

Krug appeared sober after his transformation. The Worgen were like soldiers being called to attention as they stood upright when their names were called.

Krug excitedly paced back and forth in the little square.

He glanced over his subordinates over and over. Of course, he didn’t forget the person that had done all this.

He gave Lu Li some words of thanks, and after thinking about how else he could show his gratitude, saluted him and said, ”Young man, you are the Bloodfang Worgen’s most trusted friend.”

This was a simple title, so simple that some players would think that it wasn’t worth much.

However, Lu Li was very familiar with Dawn’s NPCs and lore. He knew the implications of this title more than anyone else.

Previously, he might have thought that the Night’s Watchmen were his closest allies, but the Bloodfang Worgen had now replaced them.

Of course, this was still within the rules of the game.

All sorts of things could happen in the game, but the company would absolutely not allow a bug to be exploited.

Previously, the Night’s Watchmen had given Lu Li group of 100 troops.

As a matter of fact, Lu Li really did provide a great service to the Night’s Watchmen. However, they just didn’t have the strength to repay him; they were just part of a simple camp.

As such, they didn’t send Lu Li any equipment, help him fight any Bosses, or reveal the location of any treasures.

Even so, Lu Li was already quite satisfied. For example, if he were to attack Hachi Chan in front of some other NPCs, they would probably kill him, but if he attacked her in front of these Worgen, they would at least pretend to be blind to it.

Lu Li had simply recited the formula for the potion to the Bloodfang Worgen, not asking for anything in return.

He could have chosen to, even though this was a quest. The time limit was 3 months long anyway.

These Bloodfang Worgen had participated in the Ancient Elf War, so they must have acquired many rare items that they would be absolutely be willing to exchange for the formula .

Krug cancelled the Worgen transformation, and solemnly kept the formula.

”The Moon Grass that grows in the Dragon Swamp is guarded by a very powerful dragon…” Lu Li kindly reminded.

Krug and his 300 Bloodfang Worgen probably would not be afraid of the young black dragon. Even Princess Onyxia would respect their strength, but there was more than one black dragon.

Krug wasn’t a high-level commander either, so the Cenarion Circle would at least try to help them.

Both parties had many friends that they could call on. If a war broke out, it would be a bitter fight.

”Haha,” Remulos laughed as watched all this unfold. ”This isn’t something to worry about. Although forest is scarce, we will be able to distribute some. I do not expect that this unremarkable grass will be that important to the forest. I will give out some quests to adventurers too.”

”We will advance our race and the Worgen will become a force to be reckoned with,” Krug whispered quietly.

”Yes, the Dark Portal will open soon. This time it won’t just be the cruel Orcs, but all kinds of races that desire to sweep across the continent with destruction,” Remulos sighed.

It turned out that even the NPCs knew that the Dark Portal would open again.

There had been three months of smooth gameplay so far, but after the six-month mark, the whole continent would be covered by the shadow of war.

Due to paranoia in the ranks of both the Horde and the Alliance, several wars would break out throughout the game.

The scourge of the Burning Legion would become stronger as they attacked every village and spread across the country. They would kill everything in sight and convert them into their own members.

The Burning Legion’s main force had repaired the Dark Portal that had been destroyed. Various demons, aliens and berserk orcs would invade in flocks.

In a war that no one knew how long would last, even a major guild could lose a lot if they made a mistake. The players just had to continue developing themselves and further cooperate with the NPCs so that they weren’t killed in the war.

Lu Li had made allies with the Night’s Watchmen previously, and now with the Bloodfang Worgen. He was laying a foundation for the upcoming war.

Of course, he was not arrogant enough to think that he was now going to be a dominant part of the war.

The Night’s Watchmen were just guards of a town that had been repeated attacked by the Scourge over the years. The numbers of the Night’s Watchmen were naturally a disadvantage as they were only a small force.

As for the Bloodfang Worgen, they didn’t have many members either.

After these Worgen had used the Moon Grass to regain their reasoning, their ability to spread would be diminished. In future, Gilneas would be the Worgen’s home.

At this point in time, Lu Li’s own strength remained his top priority.

”You’ve saved our race, so I will give you a reward,” a voice interrupted. Lu Li let out a sigh of relief that the NPCs hadn’t forgotten about him, though he did understand how excited they would be.

”Thank you for your generosity, your Excellency,” Lu Li humbly laughed.

System: ”The Worgen’s Curse” Quest from Krug Bloodfang has been completed. The Bloodfang Worgen’s reputation points, Prestige Points and EXP have been rewarded.

System (World): Congratulations to player Lu Li for completing the main quest ”Worgen’s Curse”. The Worgen race is now open to the outside world. Players can now complete the relevant quest to convert to this race. For more information, please explore the area.

It seemed like this was a big event in terms of the game’s history.

As a player, Lu Li was a little excited. However, achieving so many First Clears, even an important historical event like this didn’t feel that special to him.

Wait, did he level up?

Lu Li quickly checked his EXP bar. He was original level 43 at 12% EXP, but now he was level 44 at 12%.

He had received an entire level!

This was the most EXP he had ever been rewarded with; it must have been because of the main quest. Why didn’t he look more carefully for main quests in his previous life!?
