THE GOD EATER

In the past, they thought that Loki had the highest chance of winning, but now they thought that it was impossible for Loki not to be the final winner of the competition, and were even willing to bet on it. This was how confident they were in Loki’s power.

Their confidence in him didn’t come because he was able to fight Simon to the extent that Simon ran for his dear life. No one thought that he did that.

They were just confident in him because he was now a rank 2 cultivator, and it was common sense for rank 2 cultivators to bully rank 1 cultivators.

They didn’t know what he was capable of, yet they were confident in his victory. So there was no way that Loki, who knew what he was capable of and who knew that he could win the competition at rank 1, couldn’t be confident in his victory.

Even if his competitors were other rank 2 cultivators like him, he was still sure of winning as long as they were not as unreasonable as Simon, who had rank 3 pets even though he was only at rank 2. One quick look at his status through the Power Identification Ability would reveal his source of confidence.

Compared to one month ago, when he just reversed time, he has undergone a few changes. The most significant of those changes is the upgrade of the power of his body from 0.7 units to 2.0 units.

The second most important change is the advancement of his cultivation to the peak of rank 2 and the increase to his energy density from level 5 to level 8.

This means that he can now hold as much as 128 times internal energy for each unit of capacity of his energy chambers. This is why his total internal energy increased from 4,928 units to 39,424 units. It is an 8 times increase from the early stage of rank 2 to the peak stage of rank 2.

The third most important change to his state is the increase in his skill level from 100% to 150%. The extra 50% is the benefit of overloading, while the fact that he was able to achieve this much overloading in one month is all thanks to his numerous energy threads.

Many people spend a decade raising their energy manipulation skill from 100% to 200%. Even the talented ones spend at least 5 years, as seen in the case of Simon of the Rein Family.

Some people can’t even overload Metacs for fear of destroying their energy threads and crippling themselves, as seen in the case of Jim. But he was able to achieve an overload of 10% in one day and an overload of 50% in one month of training.

At this rate, even if there are diminishing returns in his training, he should be able to achieve 100% overloading in six months and a maximum of one year.

This means that in at most one year, his skill level will reach 200%. This is unprecedented, to say the least.

The fourth change that he has undergone in this one month of training is that he successfully upgraded all of his Branch Metacs to rank 2. He even managed to get the rank 3 Triple Mind Metac so that he will be able to split his mind into three and control his Metacs better.

As for the final change that he has undergone, it has to do with the Hidden Sword Metac. He acquired this Metac just to hide his cultivation level and the situation of his energy threads from prying eyes.

With the rank 2 Hidden Sword Metac activated in his energy well, only someone much stronger than him or someone who possesses a Metac that can nullify the effect of the Hidden Sword Metac will be able to tell the exact situation of his energy well.

But the Hidden Sword Metac also has another effect, being that it hides killing intent and blurs the shape of the sword so that the sword won’t be perceived clearly, which would make defending against the sword even more difficult.

Actually, this other effect of the Hidden Sword Metac is the main reason people acquire the Hidden Sword Metac. Sword cultivators get the Hidden Sword Metac to make themselves more deadly and difficult to deal with, not to hide their cultivation level.

Only people like Loki who have a lot to hide get the Hidden Sword Metac to hide their cultivation level and the state of their energy well. However, he didn’t hide the fact that he was already rank 2 because that would make it obvious that he was hiding something.

No one would believe him if he said that he was just rank 1 because many people had noticed his cultivation level before he acquired the Hidden Sword Metac. So he only used the Hidden Sword Metac to hide everything else about his energy well while showing a cultivation of rank 2 outwardly.

All in all, he is very satisfied with his situation. But that didn’t mean he was going to relax.

As soon as he got home, he began practicing his energy manipulation so that he could raise the overload as high as possible as fast as possible.
