The First Legendary Beast Master

Chapter 2042 Insider Information

Sure enough, it wasnʼt long before the PTA president and the school Elder marched into the room, each carrying a small laughing figure.

Cara and Leo dangled from their hands, laughing hysterically at their coordinated joke having gone so incredibly right. Cara had come up with the plan, and Leo quickly realized that it would help Sister Remiʼs reputation.

He was already in class, and they were about to go to the training area. That was where the rumour started, with two thirds of the students in the school present. A bit of gossip about why Anilla and her friends were not in class, plus some ”insider information” about new products from the Alchemists.

Cara thought it was hilarious because she hadnʼt even been at the school.

The PTA leader had gone to the café to grab her and make her stop sending System messages to the students. She had been offering ten percent off presales if you could be one of the first twenty to place an order directly with a member of the Darklight Host.

Naturally, that had completely stopped any chance of the students being productive for the day, and when the other students heard that the PTA was trying to stop Cara from helping them reach their potential, they were very nearly in full revolt.

Even Andrea had to admit, that one was pretty amusing.

Viral marketing might not be a concept in this world, but it certainly was in hers, and Cara was a natural. All she had done was spread a few messages, and suddenly the new products of the Alchemy Hall were the hottest products in the region among the younger generation, and none of them could actually even verify how well they worked.

Even the Alchemy Hall Elder hadnʼt released a statement because Elder Socrate was too busy trying to calm everyone down.

When you were confronted by dozens of concerned parents, and even more concerned Spirit Immortals, there was no time to formulate a proper Clan wide message, and his subordinates were in no better position, as they had to explain that it was an experimental batch, and it wasnʼt yet a regular stock item that they had at the Alchemy Hall.

One small test, and a bit of badger induced marketing, had put the entire New Home Merchant Clan into a frenzy.

Forming your Immortal Spirit wasnʼt easy, many of them were still working on it at twenty years old. But if they could find a resource within the Clan, which was actually available, every family had someone that needed it.

Even the Elders.

Perhaps, especially the Elders. How much easier would it be to recruit a personal disciple if you could promise them immediate resources that would allow them to fully form their Immortal Spirit?

But they had overlooked the fact that it was not the only product, nor the most insane of the two, at least from a Clan-wide perspective.

Remiʼs [Spirit Enhancement Potion] was useful to every Clan member, as it boosted the strength of the Immortal Spirit, which was the base upon which all other progress was made.

And the stronger you were, the more that a small change could make.

However, it did seem to work better on children, at least, on Thorʼs children, so there was still some testing needed on when was the optimal time to apply it. Though, if it worked for everyone, it was mostly an issue of whether the price was worth the gain.

Once the Elders were seated, and the culprits of todayʼs chaos were arranged across from them, with the PTA leader still holding Cara by the collar, so the badger didnʼt disappear, the meeting began.

”Alright, everyone calm down. We know that there has been news of a new product coming from the Alchemy Hall, so we will have Elder Socrate begin the explanation of todayʼs events.”

Socrate sighed and stood. ”Today we tested alternate recipes for the Spirit Forming Pill and a new potion that the System designated the Spirit Enhancement Potion. Now, they use slightly different ingredients than previous recipes that created the same effect, an effort to bring down the cost of production, so that the final result would be affordable.

We managed to bring the production cost of the Spirit Forming Pill down by fifty percent, in line with other Epic Grade enhancement pills.

There is currently no stock, and we will be waiting roughly two weeks for the first production batches to be ready.

However, the second product is a potion that takes less time to upscale.

The Spirit Enhancement Potion is a new recipe developed by Alchemist Remi of the Darklight Host during our attempts to improve the Spirit Forming Pill Recipe.

The ingredients are available, and the potion is Rare Grade, so the price is much more affordable. It can also be used by any Immortal, and not just the ones that are working on forming their Immortal Spirit.

More testing is needed before we can make an official recommendation, but we can confirm that initial tests showed no side effects.”

Remi nodded happily in agreement, and then reached back to give a small vial to one of Leoʼs classmates.

Before the child could open the bottle, his mother took it away, glaring at the Naga.

Remi just shrugged. She didnʼt have any data on other species, but she knew that you didnʼt need System access for it to work because Thorʼs kids didnʼt have classes.

Elder Forsham cleared his throat. ”We will thank the Mad Alchemist of the Darklight Host to not give experimental potions to children while we are meeting about the safety of said potions.”

Remi winked at him, and the Elder sighed. Then he realized that the mother who had taken the potion from her child had silently downed the bottle while everyone was distracted.

It was a noticeable bump to her Spirit Power, and her power was still slowly growing.

”Donʼt make me amend the warning. Put the rest of the potions away,” Forsham warned.

The crowd laughed quietly. Those who knew Remi knew that she was always looking for test subjects for new potions, since nobody in their right mind simply ingested unknown liquids on the world of a Naga.

However, this one had been through at least one test, and Elder Socrate vouched for it.

They would definitely try it if given a chance.
