Chapter 305: Chapter 260: The Truth of the 7-Day Divine Descent

‘So, she really has gone mad…’

The Crystal Skull, shimmering with iridescent light like a work of art, began to release wisps of crystalline color into Han Su’s Spirit World the moment it touched his forehead.

In an instant, countless memories, bits of information, and emotions washed over him like a devastating flood.

Only a sufficiently powerful Spiritual Range could bear such an impact, and only enough Activity would allow one to sift through it for information of interest. After Han Su’s repeated perilous confrontations, his Spiritual Range had now reached sixty years, with an Activity of 79%.

These were very impressive stats.

Based on these fundamental stats alone, he was already among the elite of the Investigator level, and could even be said to be nipping at the heels of some Independent Investigators.

But this foundation was far from enough to fully absorb everything within the Crystal Skull.

For now, while protecting his own consciousness, he could only get a general overview of the Crystal Skull’s contents.

It was like opening a book, first skimming the table of contents before delving into the details one by one.

Fortunately, what Ms. Shen had left behind held no hostility, so he could take his time with the entire process.

‘What exactly is this so-called Seven Days of Divine Descent? And why do those people believe it can end the Tide?’

Han Su used this question as an anchor, triggering a cascade of related memories from within the Crystal Skull:

“First, we must admit that humanity never learns to listen. Therefore, the wills of history will inevitably awaken, and the Tide will inevitably arrive!”

“Everything was set in stone from the very beginning—from the moment Spiritual Power first manifested in reality and began to warp the laws of physics.”

“The Age of Reconstruction is just a beautiful dream. Humanity has been living on vast and chaotic ruins all along!”

“…”

As these shocking voices echoed in Han Su’s Spirit World, he instantly felt dizzy and disoriented. Unprecedented knowledge and theories began to be actively captured by his Spiritual Tentacles, entering his memory space.

It was as if a data transfer had begun.

The Tide would inevitably arrive. That was the premise for everything that followed.

Because whether actively or passively, humanity could never stop Stealing Mysterious Power.

Han Su had long understood this, but it was only through the memories left by Ms. Shen that he realized just how severe the problem had become.

Resisting the Tide was an ancient undertaking.

The entire reconstruction of human civilization had been accompanied by the Penetration of the Gods’ will.

Therefore, resisting the Tide has always been a crisis that all the Hidden Schools and Ancient Nobles had to face together.

To some extent, one could even say it was precisely the need to resist the Tide that led the Ancient Nobles to allow outstanding common humans to access esoteric knowledge, which in turn led to the formation of the Hidden Schools.

And their earliest plan for resisting the Tide was the “Heir Plan.”

Since it was destined from the start that humanity could not reject the influence of these alien powers on reality, they simply sought suitable vessels to contain them, keeping them within an acceptable range.

In the name of the Heirs, they would restrain the believers who worshiped these Mysterious Powers, dismantle and divide their ranks, and, when necessary, guide them to their deaths.

The struggle between civilized society and the Mysterious Believers was like the battle between reason and ignorance in the human mind—endless and unceasing.

But even the Heir Plan could never truly prevent the awakening of the alien powers. Whenever this negative energy accumulated, a power strong enough to breach the three defensive lines of reality would descend upon the world and assault it. This was the iron law of the Tide’s arrival.

The Tide is an eternal curse!

Since the beginning of the Age of Reconstruction, it has appeared time and again, each time stronger than the last, with the intervals between them growing ever shorter.

Following this pattern, the Age of Reconstruction might be completely destroyed in sixty years, and everything would revert to a savage state.

So, to solve this problem, generations of brilliant geniuses from the four great regions—East, West, North, and South—competed to find a solution.

They calculated the Tide, studied the Tide, and attempted to solve the Tide.

The Divine Descent Plan was one such proposal.

It was proposed by a brilliant young man from the East Region. The plan passed through layer after layer of screening before being placed on the desk of the World Council. He even earned the opportunity to face these Ancient Nobles—the highest-ranking and most mysterious of them all—and explain his proposal.

And in response to their questions, his answer affected the entire world:

“Seven days!”

“Once preparations are complete and the plan begins, it will take only seven days to solve the problem that has plagued human civilization for two thousand years!”

“…”

The young man created a miracle. He succeeded.

Not only did he persuade the Ancient Nobles to support his plan, but he even obtained authorization to use the world’s most powerful machine.

The World Council also authorized the establishment of a studio dedicated to advancing this plan, named Abyssal.

That man’s name was Han Changming.

He was Han Su’s father.

He was also, of course, the man Ms. Shen loved most.

Setting aside all the mysterious and complicated background, Han Su saw in Ms. Shen’s memories her adoration for this man. She believed his every word without question, abandoned everything to follow him, and helped him perfect the Seven Days of Divine Descent Plan.

Of course, even in her own memories, Ms. Shen admitted that she had only helped with small tasks and filled in the details.
