The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 140: Chapter 140: One Finger

This is not the worst. Perhaps to prevent him from biting his tongue and committing suicide, when he opened his mouth, a black hole appeared.

His teeth had been pulled out one by one.

To describe him as neither human nor ghost is no exaggeration.

Seeing Huangfu Yuxuan walking over, the man lifted his head. One of his eyes was blind, blood flowing from it. The other eye held something between despair and hope — very strange. He stared at Huangfu Yuxuan, hoarsely shouting, ”Second Young Master, spare my life!”

Huangfu Yuxuan’s face was somber, his gaze cold, and he said coolly, ”Yang Kuan, how many years have you been by my father’s side?”

The man replied, ”Seven years, Second Young Master. I’ve been by His Highness’s side for seven years, always prioritizing him, loyal and faithful, truly, Second Young Master! I am wronged, I am wronged!”

Huangfu Yuxuan stretched out his hand, and Tang Lin, understanding, immediately handed over the whip.

The whip was covered in thorns, and stained with dried blood.

Huangfu Yuxuan swung the whip and lashed it out.

Yang Kuan’s already scarred body bore a fresh whip mark. As Huangfu Yuxuan retracted his hand, the whip hooked Yang Kuan’s skin and flesh, not just a whip mark but a gash that removed skin and flesh, leaving a trough of blood. Yang Kuan screamed miserably and fainted.

Tang Lin scooped up saltwater from the bucket beside him and splashed it onto Yang Kuan.

The comatose Yang Kuan screamed again and woke up.

Huangfu Yuxuan’s face was without warmth, his gaze at Yang Kuan like Hell Shura, his voice icy seeping into the marrow, ”Yang Kuan, you should know, you can’t hide anything from me! My father trusts you and has always relied heavily on you, yet you schemed against him, harmed him, causing him to lose the Crown Prince’s position. Speak, who ordered you?”

This Yang Kuan was one of the attendants who accompanied the Crown Prince on disaster relief in Ningzhou.

He suggested that the Crown Prince tour the places, thus creating an image of caring for the victims and being personally involved. Accompanied by him, the Crown Prince met the beautiful married woman, and it was also he who had her brought for the Crown Prince’s enjoyment.

Yang Kuan cried miserably, ”Second Young Master, as a servant, I acted according to the master’s will. The matter went awry; I deserve to die. Who ordered me? I’m innocent! My master’s only His Highness!”

Mentioning His Highness seemed to give him hope, he begged, ”Second Young Master, my loyalty to His Highness is clear to the heavens, please, let me see His Highness!”

Huangfu Yuxuan’s eyes were cold, his father, that fool, could botch even arranged matters, soft in the ears, and indulgent. He trusts Yang Kuan, probably thinking I’m meddling instead.

But this matter must be investigated.

Father made a mistake, a big one, hence Grandfather’s wrath.

If there’s someone orchestrating this from behind, a secret plot, there might be room for maneuver.

Father can’t become Crown Prince again, but for me, it opens many opportunities.

Huangfu Yuxuan sneered, ”You’re indeed a loyal dog!” He turned his head, ”Since he’s so loyal, entertain him well, let me witness his loyalty!”

Tang Lin and the others, being his confidants, understood what he meant.

A dagger held by Tang Lin, he reached out, ripping off Yang Kuan’s shirt, where scars overlapped, old and new, some unhealed, some fresh, the latest left by Huangfu Yuxuan’s lash.

Tang Lin’s dagger slowly approached Yang Kuan’s body, a grin twisted cruelly at his lips, cutting down.

The blade cut slowly through flesh. Yang Kuan screamed again, though after days of torture, he endured this.

Tang Lin carved egg-sized flesh from him, blood flowed again. Tang Lin’s grin grew crueler, ”Let me stop the bleeding!” He scooped concentrated salt water, splashing on Yang Kuan’s wound.

Yang Kuan couldn’t even scream, mouth agape, making a rasping sound.

Tang Lin continued cutting, each new wound sprayed with saltwater, fainted, revived by cold water. Only his hoarse cries echoed in the chamber.

The eerie underground cell, torture instruments glimmer chillingly, like beasts opening their maw to devour, bloodstains piled, old with new, amidst wails, Huangfu Yuxuan dressed in Brocade Clothes stood, as jade tree caressed by the breeze, his aura Hell Shura-like, a beautiful yet grim face chilling to the bone.

Soon, Yang Kuan’s torso was gouged and bleeding, no flesh left uncuts. His resolve stiffened, remained silent.

Huangfu Yuxuan nodded, Tang Lin understood, retreated.

Huangfu Yuxuan stepped closer, coldly staring at Tang Lin, his voice cold and sarcastic hidden, ”Yang Kuan, are you holding out to protect your family? Do you think those behind you have secured them? Facing only death, so you don’t care?”

Yang Kuan, barely a human shape, tortured to nearly dying, eyes snapped open, hoarsely spoke, ”Second Young Master, I... don’t understand! I’m... loyal... to His Highness...”

Huangfu Yuxuan suddenly laughed, a terrifying sight for Yang Kuan. His heart clenched sharply as he heard Huangfu Yuxuan, ”Show him!”

Pei Huan stepped forward, showing Yang Kuan a small box, opened it before him, revealing not jewelry but a bloody finger. Easily identified as a child’s finger, even a sixth finger, distinctive.

Even amid torture, Yang Kuan’s teeth remained clenched, yet he let out a beastly mournful cry, eyes fixated on Huangfu Yuxuan.

Huangfu Yuxuan coldly asked, ”Do you recognize this finger?”

Yang Kuan’s eyes lifeless, how couldn’t he recognize? This was his son’s finger. His son had six fingers, brought here for quick recognition, doubtless.

Obtaining his son’s finger, where were his wife and son, implied clearly.

How did they fall into Second Young Master’s hands?

Knowing Second Young Master’s means, their lives depended on satisfying him. He hoarsely said, ”I’ll confess, I’ll confess!”
