The dragon's harem

Chapter 1407: Back From Fighting A God

Arad and Gojo walked out of the dark stairs. Arad looked a bit rough, as if he had spent hours fighting, which he had. Even Gojo looked a bit shaken, but that didnʼt take anything from his charm.

Gabriel and the half-fallen-angels looked at them. ”The dimension is empty! Is Alexander dead?”

”As dead as he could be.” Gojo smiled, looking at Arad, ”All thanks to my little brother here.”

Arad stared back at him. ”You must be joking. Without you slowing time, I wouldnʼt have been able to slay all ten thousand angels without getting caught and starting a war.”

Gabriel and everyone there gasped, ”Ten thousand?!”

”Angels? The real ones?” Another stumbled back and fell on his butt, shaking like a newborn calf.

”What else? Fake ones with paper wings?” Gojo looked at them, ”The real one with big fluffy white wings and skin as pale as opal. Damn it, you shouldʼve seen them, the finest sight my eyes have ever seen.”

Eris and Mira were standing there beside the angels. The two of them looked at Arad with angry faces. Neither of them had expected to be used like a battery by the angels. ”And, where are you keeping them?” Eris approached, and Gojo pointed at Arad.

”He ate them.”

Arad looked away, and the half-fallen-angels got even more confused. He couldnʼt have eaten them, could he? Angels of all things? But Arad was a massive void dragon, so it wouldnʼt be strange if he took a bite from one or two of them.

”Spit them out!” Mira growled, and the half-fallen-angels moved back, terrified. Gabriel wanted to scream that Arad already ate them and they are dead, but what does he know? Can angels survive being eaten alive? No, is letting one of Alexanderʼs warmongers loose in his kingdom safe? One angel could fuck a whole kingdom so badly that itʼll get erased from history.

”Fine.” Arad sighed, and some of the half-fallen-angels ran away.

Arad extended his hands forward, and a radiant wave of light burst from his fingers, washing the whole room in white brilliance.

Two angels appeared standing in front of Arad. One looked at Mira and knelt, and the other knelt to Eris. ”The strongest of each, theyʼll speak for the angels.”

Arad looked around and saw Lucy standing there beside Kali.

Kali looked back at him, smiled, and smacked Lucy on the back. ”Little girl, go ahead.”

Lucy stumbled toward Arad and Gojo, but before she could fall on her face, an angel caught her.

Arad had split the army of angels into three. One third will stay with Eris, the other will guard Mira, and the remaining third will watch over Lucy. With this, all three divines he and Gojo created so far would have a small army to protect and guard them.

Lucy looked up and the angel smiled at her, ”So youʼre my new goddess, suck a young and cute one. When I sensed gluttony, I expected to find a human barrel, not a toothpick.”

Lucy growled and swung her arm, ”Who are you calling a toothpick?!”

The angel evaded her fist with grace. ”Sorry, my goddess. You arenʼt a toothpick, but a little sapling that needs time and care to grow.”

”Sheʼll teach and guard you better than any human could. Treat her with the same care sheʼll treat you with.” Gojo looked at Lucy, trying to calm her down.

Lucy spared him a glance and then looked at the angel, studying her for a long moment. ”Fine, Iʼm a sapling, so she is a cow. Bring me a jug!” She grabbed the angel by the neck and tried to swing her arm, only to end up being carried like a sack of potatoes.

”What a feisty brat. As expected from a goddess that isnʼt even two decades old.” The angel looked at Gojo and Arad, ”Leave her to me and the others.”

Arad looked at Gojo, ”Are you sure about that? That leaves me with almost seven thousand angels, and you only got three thousand.”

Gojo laughed, ”What are you talking about? Neither of us has any angels. Itʼs those girls, and they all got the same amount, a little over three thousand each, fair and square.”

Kali coughed in the back, ”And what about my little sorry self here? I get nothing?”

Diana, who was standing behind her, grabbed her by the head and lifted her up, ”Said the one having over fifty billion angels deployed in the war, let alone those who arenʼt.” She looked at the three angels in the room.

”If those are the strongest, then I alone can kill all ten thousand angels they brought back.”

The three angels looked at her, ”Harbinger of Destruction, come on. Weʼve been starving for centuries and have just survived killing a god. Wait until we rest for a few days.” The angel serving Eris approached her, ”Iʼll make you eat those words while begging for mercy. Donʼt underestimate the warmongers.”

”Hold on for a moment.” Kali waved her hand, and all the angels disappeared. ”Iʼll be back for a second. Iʼll have a word with those angels you brought.”

”A word about what?” Arad looked at her, and Kali smiled, ”Something important, telling them a few things about the current situation.”

She then disappeared for a few minutes.

In that time, Eris looked at Arad, ”So? Alexander is dead, you two killed a literal god of war, fighting and violence.”

”To be exact.” Arad smiled, ”Weʼve made sure he canʼt use the power of the god of war, violence, and fighting in the first half of the fight. And in the second half, I have already stolen his portfolios.”

Gojo nodded, ”So, yeah. We didnʼt kill the god of war, fighting, and violence; we killed Alexander. If he were to be at full power and be able to use his portfolios, weʼd be dead.”

Mira sighed, ”Fine, fine, for now, you two must rest. I canʼt believe that youʼre fine after fighting him.” She looked at Gabriel, ”Is it ready?”

Gabriel remained silent for a long second before gasping, ”Ah, yes. The bath, the rooms, the food, fit for a dragon, two even. Itʼs all ready and waiting.”

As they walked, Arad looked at his hand. He now has multiple portfolios resting inside his soul: Tempest, Four Seasons, War, Fighting, and lastly, Violence.

He could create five, maybe eight new gods if he wanted. All he needed to do was find people to give them those portfolios.
