The dragon's harem

Diana floated her way toward one of the devils, looked at him for a second, then floated to the side, standing right beside the grill. The woman getting roasted on it like a pig was still screaming, in too much agony to notice the radiant angel standing beside her.

Diana reached down, grabbed the woman by the shoulder, then ripped her out of the spit in one pull. The woman’s body tore open, painting the ground red with her organs, but that only lasted for a second as her wound instantly healed.

The woman had noticed that something was off; she would’ve stayed on the grill for a few more hours at least. She lifted her tearful face, and the first thing she saw was a burning skull with glowing red eyes.

She gasped and crawled back, but before she got far, a hand grabbed her by the hair and lifted her up.

She cried and then opened her eyes, finding her face an inch away from a woman’s face. Her mind froze, enthralled by the beautiful face, that pale white skin without any blemishes, the luxurious golden eyes, the full red lips, and silky black hair.

But then, those golden eyes flashed, and the woman felt as if someone had poured acid into her eyes. She screamed at the top of her lungs, but her eyes refused to close. She could feel her brain twisting inside her skull, almost exploding.

The devils watched in horror as the sinner woman’s body burned in golden flames, her screams growing louder and louder than anything they’ve ever heard before. Soon, she turned into ash and was washed away by the wind and acid rain.

Diana sighed, looked west with a passive face, then flew away. Whatever brought her here, she already got it.

“Brother! What was that!” A young devil cried, and another shook his head, “An archon, a high-ranking angel. She is probably looking for someone or something in the hells.”

“An angel? Why… where are the guards? Shouldn’t they stop her?” The moment the younger devil spoke, the older one smacked him in the face, sending him flying away.

“An angel, maybe, an archon, forget it. That bitch would blast this whole cursed layer in a single strike. Only a fool or an idiot would dare stand in her way.” He growled and approached the woman’s ashes.

“Damn it, dead. She won’t resurrect for a few years.” He kicked the ashes to scatter them. “Lucky one, so she got something from you and paid you with a short relief of hell’s torment.”

****

On another part of hell, the city of Hell’s Lip, a devilish woman walked out of her house and yawned. This was the first day of her long vacation. After torturing the sinner for over a hundred years, she could finally take a year off and relax.

She walked into the streets, looking around for something nice to eat first. Many devils sold roasted mortal flesh, but she wanted something else, something nice and fresh.

First, she reached the nearby bar for a morning drink. She was on her vacation after all, and she wouldn’t mind causing a bit of trouble here and there.

She walked in, ordered a drink, and admired the empty place. All devils should be working right now; only a few who were on vacation, like her, could come here. “Give me something nice.”

But then, she noticed that the bartender looked a bit different from how he looked last time she was here. First, his red skin had turned fair, and he had two massive udders dangling from his chest, the nipples barely covered by a pale white strap. No, he was a woman now.

A tall woman barely wearing anything, with glowing golden eyes and long flowing pale blond hair.

The devilish woman stopped breathing and didn’t move an inch, sweating in her place as everyone else in the room did the same, bathed in the radiance emitted by the woman’s massive white wings.

“You’re all too slow.” Mathilde glared at them, and none dared reply. When did she arrive? Where is the bartender, and how did no one manage to stop her? All of those questions didn’t matter now.

An angel had made her way into the city and was now standing alone in a bar, glaring at them with an aloof face.

Mathilde lifted her hand, and a jug of water appeared out of nowhere. “You, devil woman. A rift of space must’ve opened recently, one full of hatred. Where did it open?” Mathilde’s voice wasn’t loud, but it was crystal clear, and everyone in the bar heard her. Her words didn’t sound like a request, but like an order.

“West, but I’m not sure exactly where.” The devilish woman had seen what the angel asked about, but that was a few days ago, and by chance. She was flying back from work when she spotted it on the horizon. She didn’t pay much attention to it at the time; she didn’t know exactly where.

Mathilde’s aloof expression remained still, but she then poured one mug of water and pushed it to the devilish woman.

“Your payment. Drink it.”

The devilish woman stared at the mug of water, which alone was worth a fortune. Mathilde probably meant that if she doesn’t drink it now, others might try to steal it from her later.

The devilish woman obliged and chugged the whole mug at once, feeling more refreshed than she had ever been in her whole life.

“Now…” Mathilde reached forward and summoned a golden chain and collar, “Come here.”

The devilish woman blinked twice, but did as Mathilde asked. Because if she doesn’t, this angel would probably evaporate her in the blink of an eye.

In seconds, the devilish woman was enslaved with a chain around her neck. “Let’s go to where you saw that.”

Mathilde flew over the counter and pulled on the chain, dragging the devilish woman with her.

At that moment, a few powerful archdevils kicked the bar’s door open, “There she is! The angel…” They froze, immediately turning to run away, but they couldn’t.

The devils hit the ground before they knew what had happened. They weren’t harmed, but their legs were missing. Not cut off, but they just disappeared. Mathilde walked past them, gave them a simple stare, and then turned toward the devilish woman.

“Make sure to step on their faces walking out. They aren’t worth mine.” She then looked up, waited for the devilish woman to step on all of the archdevils, and then flew away with her.

“You can speak.” Mathilde’s voice didn’t change, but the devilish woman understood that those words were an order.

“Who are you? What do you want?” She asked with a shaking voice, looking at the chain around her neck.

“Mathilde, Divine goddess Sylph’s Archon. I’m here looking for someone. They’ve angered the wrong person.”

No wonder those archdevils all dropped like flies. This wasn’t just an angel, but an archon.

“Someone angered Sylph?” The devilish woman gasped. What kind of stupid shit did that fool do to get Sylph to send a whole archon after them?

Mathilde pulled the devilish woman closer to her and glared at her eyes, “Next time, I’ll rip your knees off. It’s Divine Goddess Sylph for you.” She then dragged her away like before.

“I understand.” The devilish woman gulped. She can speak, but she still must be careful.

“They didn’t anger her, they angered something bigger, stronger, even more ancient. I’m here because if he came here, hell would get destroyed.”

The devilish woman thought about what Mathilde said for a few minutes; the only two people coming to mind were either the Overgod, or… the Emperor of Nothing.
