The Devil Does Not Need to Be Defeated

Chapter 805: “Are You Sure She’s Your Person?”

“That voice is…”

Hearing the unexpected voice, Shien was startled, then surprised.

“Leisha?”

Yes, the voice belonged to Leisha.

“What are you doing here?” Shien, surprised, instinctively tried to open his eyes.

But before he could, a pair of hands covered them.

“Didn’t I tell you not to move?” Leisha asked, her tone annoyed.

“What’s this about?” Shien frowned, about to resist. He wasn’t one to be polite to this young lady, let alone obedient. It was always him teasing her. Therefore, he wouldn’t just stay still because she told him to.

However, perhaps sensing his resistance, Leisha quickly said,

“I’m already in the bath, and I’m not wearing anything.”

These words made Shien freeze and fall silent.

“Phew…” Leisha breathed a sigh of relief.

However, she relaxed too soon.

Shien’s resistance intensified.

“W-What are you doing…!? Don’t move! I told you I’m not wearing anything! You bastard!”

Leisha panicked, her hands covering Shien’s eyes being pried open by him. She could only scream and struggle, the sound of splashing water echoing. Seeing Shien becoming more and more forceful, almost using his magic power, she shouted angrily,

“If you move again, I’ll teleport you to the main street and let the entire Royal Capital admire your magnificent body!”

This threat worked. Remembering her incredible Spatial Magic, Shien, worried about his “chastity,” reluctantly stopped resisting.

Leisha, breathing a sigh of relief, gritted her teeth.

“You bastard, I already told you, and yet you still moved. What’s wrong with you…!?”

She was furious.

Shien just snorted and said casually,

“There’s a woman bathing with me, saying she’s not wearing anything, and I can feast my eyes just by opening them. And she’s the one who came here, undressed herself, and she’s even weaker than me. If I don’t take advantage of this opportunity, wouldn’t I be letting down all those ‘LSPs’ out there?”

His shameless words almost made Leisha explode.

“I only came because you’re back, choosing a time when no one else is around and it’s quiet!” She wanted to explain that she came here not to offer him a “benefit,” but simply because this was the only time she could find him.

However…

“You didn’t have to do this,” Shien said, his tone infuriating, “Someone might come here soon. Don’t think this is the only ‘benefit’ I can enjoy.”

The implication was that even while bathing, he might have company. And as for whether it would be “quiet”… who knew?

“…” Leisha was speechless, staring at Shien, wanting to bite him.

“You’re still as shameless as ever,” she could only say.

“Thank you for the compliment,” Shien said, unfazed, “But I’m curious, why did you come here, even bathing with me naked?” Although his words sounded unpleasant, he was getting to the point.

Liel could only suppress the urge to teleport him to the main street for public display and snorted coldly.

“I just wanted to see what you gained from your trip to the Demon Realm,” she said sarcastically, “I heard you caused quite a bit of trouble there.”

“What are you referring to?” Shien retorted, “I did encounter some trouble, but it was the trouble that came to me, not the other way around.”

“It’s the same thing,” Leisha curled her lip, “Anyway, you’re always surrounded by chaos. Using your world’s terminology, it’s called ‘trouble magnet’ attribute, right?”

“…You’re quite up-to-date with your slang, even knowing the term ‘trouble magnet’,” Shien said, speechless, then, no longer bothering to argue with her, he said directly, “Just tell me what you want.”

Hearing this, Leisha hesitated, opening her mouth to speak.

But before she could, Shien added,

“Just don’t ask me to do something troublesome and thankless.”

These words made Leisha’s eyebrows twitch in annoyance.

“What do you mean ‘troublesome and thankless’?” she asked angrily, “You’re always the one asking me to do such things.”

For example, that time with Diere, Leisha was the one who followed up and provided assistance in secret. That was truly troublesome and thankless.

However…

“You also tricked me into dealing with the Assassination Branch, and what happened? I even scattered their ashes, and you didn’t even show up!” Shien brought up this past grievance.

“I…” Leisha was speechless. She had indeed tricked Shien into dealing with Bedo and the Old Demon Faction, but she didn’t show up or provide any assistance. If Shien wasn’t strong enough to handle them alone, it would have been fatal. Bringing this up made even Leisha feel awkward.

“What? Nothing to say now?” Shien asked, his eyes covered, unable to see her expression, his own face expressionless.

This made Leisha feel guilty.

Helplessly, she also brought up the past.

“And you stole my Lasha!”

Saying this, however, made her angry again.

But Shien simply sneered.

“You have the nerve to mention Lasha?” he asked disdainfully, “Wasn’t she with you this whole time?”

Upon returning, Shien had already noticed that his home wasn’t as clean and tidy as before, although the mansion was spotless, it lacked the previous sparkle. The plants in the garden were also well-maintained, but they no longer looked like exquisite works of art.

And the increased number of maids and servants seemed to be compensating for a significant absence.

How could he not know that Lasha wasn’t home while he was away?

If she had been, his home wouldn’t be like this, and those servants and knights who greeted him excitedly like fans might not be so enthusiastic towards him…

(He looked up at the sky.)

Later, he learned from Diere that after he went to the Demon Realm, Diere, Leisha, and Lasha also separated. Diere returned to the Buztout residence, while Leisha and Lasha disappeared.

Therefore, Lasha had taken Leisha with her.

That’s why Shien said that.

Unexpectedly, Leisha said righteously,

“Lasha is my person, and I didn’t want to come back here. I’m not familiar with the people here, so what’s wrong with taking her with me?” Leisha was declaring her ownership.

And it was true.

Leisha didn’t have any close relationships with the people in the Buztout household.

Moreover, she was a wanted criminal in the Mitra Kingdom. Logically, she and the people of the Kingdom were enemies, impossible to coexist peacefully.

She also didn’t intend to befriend anyone. If not for Shien being here, and their complicated relationship with him, Leisha would have already taken Lasha and continued their travels.

For the past ten years, that’s what she had been doing. It would be strange for her to stay in one place, especially here, in the Royal Capital of the Mitra Kingdom.

As a wanted criminal who attacked the capital and the Royal Palace, even stealing the Demon King’s body and her private residence, if not for her powerful Spatial Magic and her ability to evade capture, how could she have remained free for so long?

Since Shien wasn’t here, there was no reason for her to stay in the Buztout residence.

Therefore, she immediately left with Lasha, only remaining near the Royal Capital.

Until today, when Shien returned, she found an opportunity and came alone.

“Are you sure Lasha is your person?” Shien asked with a smirk, “Haven’t I already made her mine?”

Leisha, stunned for a moment, then became furious. “How dare you!” She was about to do something.

Shien seemed to sense this and immediately reached out, grabbing her.

“Yaaah!” Leisha screamed, “What are you doing!?”

“Catching you, of course,” Shien said righteously, enjoying the sensation of her hand in his, “If you teleport me to the main street, I’ll definitely die with you.” As long as he held onto Leisha, no matter where she teleported him, she would also be there.

“Who wants to die with you!?” Leisha, realizing his insidious intentions, struggled and shouted, “Let me go!”

“No!” Shien not only didn’t let go, but held her even tighter, “I advise you not to struggle, or I might accidentally touch somewhere I shouldn’t.”

“I#*%@&!” Leisha couldn’t help but curse, her ladylike demeanor shattered.

In the next second, Shien felt the hand covering his eyes disappear, his vision returning, and even the girl he was holding vanished, as if there had never been anyone else in the bath, the room quiet and still.

But soon, a figure appeared before the bathtub.

It was Leisha.

Her body was still slightly damp, her hair wet, her skin moist and flushed, clearly having just left the hot water. She was fully dressed, standing by the bathtub, looking at Shien with killing intent, as if a butcher deciding where to start cutting, her composure clearly gone.

“What do you want?” Shien asked, standing up warily.

This made Leisha’s face twist in disgust.

Couldn’t this bastard cover himself up…!? She wanted to help him remove those “extra parts,” but then she remembered that this concerned her Lasha’s happiness.

Thinking of this, she wanted to bang her head against a wall.

Why did she have to provoke this devil? He was here to torment her.

Come to think of it, this seemed to be fate.

She was the Demon King Prototype, and he was the Hero who defeated the Demon King. How could they not be enemies? He was her nemesis.

Liel glared at Shien. “I was going to tell you something, but I’ve changed my mind!” she said fiercely, “You can deal with those troubles yourself. I’ll just sit back and watch the show!”

Leaving these words, she prepared to leave.

“Wait!” Shien, seeing through her intentions, immediately stopped her.

“Even if you regret it, it’s too…” Leisha was about to say, “Even if you regret it, it’s too late,” but Shien interrupted her.

“You can leave if you want, but leave Lasha here.”

“I#*%@&!” Leisha cursed again, then, her face contorted, she teleported away. Before disappearing, she made up her mind to separate these two. She wouldn’t let that damned Hero have her Lasha, even if it meant keeping her hidden forever.

“If I let Lasha return to him, I’ll jump off a cliff and die!” she swore.

Shien, looking at the empty space where Leisha had been standing, curled his lip regretfully.

“Too bad I couldn’t lure her back,” he said.

Just then, a calm voice said,

“Lure who back?” A beautiful girl with purple hair, fully dressed, stood by the bathtub, staring at him intently.

“…”

Shien chuckled awkwardly and shut his mouth.

Chapter 806: This Backyard Might Be Getting Out of Control

Leisha’s arrival was like a sudden typhoon, appearing and disappearing quickly.

Although Shien was concerned about the matter she mentioned, seeing her arguing and sulking with him, he knew that while it might be important, it wasn’t urgent. If it were truly a serious matter, she would have told him, even if she was angry. After all, Shien’s safety concerned Lasha, and that maid-obsessed demon, for Lasha’s sake, would endure her displeasure and warn him.

Thinking of this, Shien dismissed the matter.

Diere, entering halfway, seemed to notice someone else had been here with Shien, but she didn’t say anything, silently entering the water and even snuggling into his arms. Shien naturally didn’t forget this quiet yet deeply hidden lover, stroking her soft, purple hair and asking contentedly, “How have you been lately?”

“Nothing much,” Diere shook her head, her reply concise, “Most of the troublesome matters were handled by Vivian and Guild Master Riley. I only acted when they needed me, so those matters didn’t really affect my life.”

This descendant of the Elvenbein family summarized the past month’s events in a single sentence, as if nothing major had happened, her tone calm and indifferent.

But Shien knew that this girl had also changed considerably.

“Have you become different somehow?” he asked, looking her over.

He wasn’t referring to her figure. The sixteen-year-old girl’s body hadn’t fully matured yet, her beautiful face still carrying a hint of childishness, exactly the same as in his memory.

However, after returning to the Buztout residence, Shien noticed a change in her demeanor. Before, Diere seemed cold and sharp, like a drawn blade, her presence not very noticeable when one wasn’t paying attention to her, but once noticed, she seemed incredibly dangerous and chilling.

And now, she seemed like a dormant beast, seemingly ordinary at first glance, but upon closer inspection, one would sense a hidden danger, a chilling aura like a vengeful ghost. Compared to before, she was more restrained, yet more dangerous.

Compared to this change, Diere’s rapid level increase didn’t surprise Shien much.

He knew what kind of person she was and how talented she was.

Lucy, considered the most talented, now had the potential to transcend the limits of life. Diere, second only to Lucy and also blessed by the Goddess of Fate, although not as extraordinary as Lucy, her rapid growth wasn’t surprising. Moreover, she was also diligent and hardworking.

When Shien first arrived in the Royal Capital, she had been constantly striving to improve, even using the hostile nobles as training, engaging in battles daily.

In the Imperial Capital, she overcame numerous challenges, growing stronger in adversity, and now, back in the Royal Capital, she still had plenty of opportunities to train.

Hadn’t she said that she only needed to carry out the tasks assigned by Vivian and Riley when they needed her, and that the household matters didn’t affect her much?

This meant she was still training diligently, even handling most of the combat-related matters in the Buztout household, having many strong opponents to fight against and continuously improving herself.

Therefore, her rapid level increase was understandable. She had already reached level seventy-eight and would soon break through to eighty.

But even level eighty wasn’t much in the eyes of the current Shien. Not just level eighty, but anyone below Limit Level wasn’t worth his attention. Therefore, Diere giving him this feeling was surprising.

Diere stared at Shien for a moment, then stood up. Water droplets slid down her body, a seductive sight.

Unfortunately, before Shien could appreciate it, what happened next shocked him.

“Weng!” The air around Diere trembled, magic power converging on her forehead, and a horn began to grow.

Yes.

At this moment, Diere had activated her dangerous Unique Skill, [Demonification].

“You…!?”

Shien also stood up.

This wasn’t a joking matter.

Once activated, [Demonification] would not only make her lose control, but also continuously absorb the surrounding magic power, converting it into pure strength, making her grow stronger and stronger without limit. Theoretically, with enough magic power and time, she could become strong enough to defeat anyone, even the Demon King and the Supreme God. Of course, that was just a theory. To reach their level by absorbing magic power would require draining the entire world’s magic power, which was impossible.

The Demon King and the Supreme God were beings transcending the world itself.

However, even so, with sufficient magic power and time, Diere’s power could eventually reach the level of the Goddess of Fate. Even after absorbing magic power for only a short time before, she could exchange blows with Airi, forcing Shien to unseal the first seal on his Holy Sword to deal with her, showing the power of this ability.

But because her horn was cut off by her mother at birth and given to the Raifurut family, activating this ability would make her lose control and go berserk.

Over a month ago, to solve this problem, she went to the Imperial Capital, intending to retrieve her horn. Unfortunately, that horn had been used and destroyed by Mara. Diere could no longer fix this flaw.

Knowing this, Shien was naturally startled by the sudden activation of her ability.

Who knew…

“I’m fine,” Diere said, her voice surprisingly clear despite the horn on her head.

“Huh?” Shien was stunned.

As if anticipating his reaction, Diere pointed at her horn.

“Don’t you notice something different about my horn compared to before?”

Shien then noticed that the horn seemed more real than before.

“Look.” Diere dispelled the horn on her forehead, brushed aside her hair, and revealed her forehead, smooth, fair, and delicate.

However, what truly caught Shien’s attention was a small horn on her forehead, not one formed from magic power, but a real horn.

“Your… your horn…?” He looked at her, astonished.

“Yes,” Diere nodded, confirming his guess with a calm expression, “It’s growing back.”

“This…” Shien asked, bewildered, “When did this happen?”

“Recently,” Diere replied calmly, “More accurately, after my horn was destroyed by Mara, I felt it growing back.”

In other words, because the original horn was completely destroyed, a new one began to grow. This new horn was small and short, like a newly sprouted bud.

“After it started growing, I found that I no longer lose control when using [Demonification]. The absorbed magic power, when converted into strength, is no longer as difficult to control as before, but neutralized and transformed by this horn, allowing me to partially control it.”

“It’s still growing, so it can’t convert too much power yet.”

“Once it’s fully grown, I should be able to completely control the power gained from [Demonification].”

“Although I think it will take a while for it to fully grow…”

But at least, now, Diere had hope of fully controlling her Unique Skill.

“Good heavens…” Shien was completely speechless.

He had only been away from the Royal Capital for two months, and not only had his “principal wife” ascended, becoming incredibly powerful, but even his “little wife” had been secretly developing her powers? What were these girls planning? Why were they suddenly becoming so powerful?

No, wait, it wasn’t just these two. Come to think of it, Melika was also in the Divine Realm, rapidly growing stronger with the cheat he gave her. And Airi, needless to say, was already incredibly strong. Even Shafney, with whom he had that accidental encounter, was a Demon Lord-level being.

He originally thought his current growth was impressive, but now, he felt like his “harem” was getting out of control.

Shien couldn’t help but question his life choices.
