The Devil Does Not Need to Be Defeated

Chapter 582: “Looking for Me?”

Raifurut Residence, Above.

At this moment, a figure hovered in the air, as if standing against the wind.

The cloak covering him fluttered in the wind.

The magic power surging around him fluctuated.

He looked down at the gloomy mansion below, ignoring the commotion caused by the terrifying magic power emanating from him, and began to chant a spell.

“—With vast magic power, I invoke the aurora from beyond the heavens—”

It was a language that called upon the stars.

“—Tears of the sky, rain of stars, the bright expanse of the heavens, now shines upon the earth—”

The chanting of the spell echoed, not masked by the wind, but rather like thunder, resounding through the sky.

“—Answer my call—”

“—Obey my command—”

“—With the radiant sword of light, judge the world—”

As the spell continued, the night sky above the Imperial Capital lit up.

Meteors gradually appeared, their numbers increasing, covering the entire night sky.

Such a phenomenon naturally couldn’t go unnoticed.

Commotion arose from all directions, and people emerged from every corner of the Imperial Capital.

Naturally, the Raifurut residence bore the brunt of it.

Inside, figures rushed out, looking at the cloaked figure floating in mid-air and the meteors streaking across the sky, their voices filled with uncertainty and panic.

Someone roared loudly.

Someone prepared to attack the cloaked figure in the air.

Someone else, sensing danger, even tried to escape.

But they wouldn’t have the chance.

Because today, the Raifuruts were destined to meet their end.

“—Descend, stars—”

The hammer of judgment fell mercilessly.

“[Auroras Meteoric].”

Surging magic power rushed into the sky, merging with the meteors.

The meteors trembled and paused, then, with dazzling light, plummeted from the sky.

It was a beautiful night scene.

It was a magnificent night sky.

Meteors streaked across the sky one after another, descending towards the earth.

Their target was the gloomy mansion – the Raifurut residence.

“Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom—!”

In the next instant, explosions echoed.

Meteors continuously struck the Raifurut residence, displaying unparalleled destructive power.

After all, the essence of meteors was meteorites.

Although not real meteorites, but rather star rocks formed from magic power, and in order to avoid harming the innocent, the user had restrained their power to the greatest extent, limiting the range to the Raifurut residence, those meteorites transformed into meteors still ravaged the entire Raifurut family.

“Boom—!”

Houses were shattered.

“Boom—!”

The ground caved in.

“Boom—!”

Gardens collapsed.

“Boom—!”

Vegetation was blown away.

Explosions continuously echoed from the Raifurut territory, composing a symphony of death.

People’s screams, cries, wails, and roars were mixed in, like musical notes, filled with despair.

Shien watched all of this indifferently, meteors constantly streaking past him, falling downwards, and continuing to ravage the Raifurut land.

When even smoke began to rise from the Raifurut residence, this place had already become hell.

Someone was watching this scene.

And trembling.

“He… he actually…”

Tilly appeared on the roof of a building, witnessing all of this, her face pale as she watched the beautiful yet cruel scene.

She remembered that when she was about to lead the mysterious expert to the Imperial Palace, he had said casually, as if he was just going out to buy something,

“Wait for me here. I’ll be back soon.”

Then, he disappeared with a teleport and appeared above the Raifurut residence.

At that time, Tilly hadn’t expected him to do such a thing.

She hadn’t expected that when she thought he was a warrior stronger than her father, he would display such terrifying magic.

Tilly was shocked and terrified.

But the real show was just about to begin.

“Swoosh!”

Shien’s figure disappeared once again, dashing into the Raifurut residence.

Around him, meteorites continued to ravage the earth, creating explosions.

Some people ran frantically.

Some cried in despair.

But in the end, the falling meteorites still claimed most of their lives, their blood splattering everywhere.

Shien continued his massacre.

…

At the same time, in the underground hall of the Raifurut residence.

“Rumble…!”

Frequent tremors shook the entire underground hall.

This place seemed precarious, as if it might collapse at any moment, extremely dangerous.

Wolram and the five decision-makers of the Raifurut family were still here.

However, they weren’t the only ones present. There were also some people who had slipped in here to seek refuge, sensing the danger, as well as a group of shady assassins who had been on standby.

“What’s going on…!?”

A middle-aged man, forced to emerge from the darkness, roared.

He was Wolram’s adoptive father, the head of the Raifurut family – Direkiss Raifurut.

He was cold, ruthless, and inhuman. He had once abandoned his three sons as useless trash because they were of no use to him.

He was unscrupulous, cruel, and indifferent, his hands stained with countless blood. For his own goals, he could even use his own daughter, sending her to the Kingdom to marry into the Elvenbein family.

Yes.

He was Diere’s maternal grandfather.

But he had never treated Diere as a blood relative, only wanting to train her into a machine that could fight for the Raifurut family. When Mara wanted Diere, he didn’t hesitate to offer her, using her to gain the Imperial Consort’s trust and favor.

Such a man was not only feared by the entire Raifurut family but also by countless people in the Empire.

But now, he was roaring and jumping in anger and anxiety, completely losing his usual coldness and ruthlessness.

There was no helping it.

“Intruder!”

“It’s an intruder! Master!”

“He destroyed the Raifurut residence!”

“Meteors!”

“Meteors are falling! Family Head!”

Countless people shouted like this, their faces filled with terror, their bodies trembling, as if they had encountered the most terrifying nightmare, having lost their composure and reason.

“Intruder?”

Direkiss couldn’t believe his ears.

An intruder had appeared?

And he had destroyed the Raifurut residence?

Did he hear wrong, or did these useless people make a mistake?

“Someone actually dared to invade our Raifurut family?”

“They must be tired of living!”

“Kill him!”

“Chop him into pieces and feed him to the slaves!”

The other four decision-makers also shouted angrily.

As a clan of feared and dreaded assassins, they were usually the ones invading others’ headquarters. When had anyone dared to invade theirs?

Moreover, the intruder seemed to have caused great damage to the Raifurut family, which further enraged these decision-makers.

“An intruder capable of summoning meteors…?”

Only Wolram, seemingly having thought of something, his eyes flickered.

He wanted to speak, but seeing Direkiss’s distorted face filled with anger, he closed his mouth for some reason.

“Dispatch the second, third, and fourth assassination units! Leave only the first assassination unit here to guard!”

Direkiss suppressed his anger, releasing a terrifying killing intent, and roared in a low voice.

“Go! Bring me that so-called intruder!”

He wanted to capture the intruder alive and torture him to death.

Otherwise, there was no way to quell his current rage and the humiliation of his family being invaded.

“Yes!”

Many of the black-clad, masked assassins present responded coldly, turning around to prepare for the counterattack.

However…

“Bang!”

The entrance to the underground hall suddenly exploded.

As flames surged in, everyone present either exclaimed or changed their expressions, looking towards the front.

“Clack, clack, clack, clack…”

Clear footsteps echoed.

“Whoosh—!”

A fluttering cloak was blown open.

Shien’s figure slowly appeared at the entrance.

“Looking for me?”

A mocking voice reached their ears.

Enraging them.
