The Almighty Ring

Things went on and after two days, all 12 Bio-Pods were done synthesizing the girls and revived them all. Everyone was dispatched into Hong Yu’s team and Isabella arranged them weapons to be familiarized with. These girls, and other Level 4 girls were Jiang Fei’s true fighting force. As for the other martial artists, they were merely cannon fodders.

As the numbers rose and were about to hit 0541’s standards of extraction, Hua Mulan was getting ready to be revived and Jiang Fei got more anxious about it. Right now, he was robbed of the Bio-Lab and the main Bio-Pods. What’s more, he was severely lacking in Energy Crystals. All that was left for him to do now was to execute the mission—to launch an attack on the Unknowns and steal all their Energy Crystals.

“Darling, someone’s here to see you,” said Bella when Jiang Fei was thinking hard about the problem of energy and about the other Level 5 grandmasters.

“Who is it? Is it Bai Shien? Is there others with him?” cried Jiang Fei as his heart skipped a beat. It was about time Jiang Fei heard some good news. For the past two days, Jiang Fei had spent a good amount of energy, using the Super Radar system to locate the enemy base. He found their base but it was only lightly fortified and contained a luxurious amount of Energy Crystals. Although the number could not be compared to the base they had raided before, it was more than enough for him to last for some time.

“Sorry… It’s Straz. Bennette Straz,” Bella apologized and revealed the second last person Jiang Fei wanted to see right now.

“What’s he doing here?” Jiang Fei frowned and grunted. It was odd. Why would the ex-Dragon God be looking for him at this time?

“Love, you don’t have to see him. I can always send him away,” Sylphy chimed in.

“Mhm. What’s the harm? Let’s listen to that sack of metal for a bit,” said Jiang Fei after he came up with an idea.

“Alright. I’ll bring him to the third guest room,” Bella answered and went away.

“Come along, let’s hear what he has to say,” Jiang Fei invited Sylphy to follow him. He knew well that Straz had a motive behind this visit and it would not be good.

When Jiang Fei entered the room, Straz shot to his feet and greeted Jiang Fei with the same friendly face.

“It’s been a long time!”

“Apparently not long enough. What do you want?” Jiang Fei sneered. The only reason why Jiang Fei was not punching him in his organic-skill-covered metal face was because there was a larger fish at large. He needed Akatziris’s help to face them.

“We have heard rumors that you are forming an assault force to attack the enemy Unknowns. The leader had sent me here to offer you help,” said Straz.

“Oh? Did she now?” Jiang Fei gasped whilst arching an eyebrow. The last time he talked to her, she rejected Jiang Fei’s request for help on the reason that she had more than enough Energy Crystals. Why would she be offering her help now?

Unbeknownst to Jiang Fei, something had happened in the moon base that had forced Akatziris to “offer” her help in “helping” Jiang Fei to raid the enemy base. Back when she had looted everything, she had supposedly gathered enough Energy Crystal to finish the entire ship. However, accidents happen. Due to the demand to increase work speed, a large number of Energy Crystals were used and something went wrong. A piece of faulty equipment caused one of the Energy Crystals to vaporize instantly. This set on a chain reaction with the other Energy Crystals nearby, leading to a massive explosion. The explosion destroyed a large portion of the ship. Even though the fire was extinguished and many were rescued, they would require a large sum of Energy Crystals to fix everything, Energy Crystals which they do not have.

Based on her current attack force, Akatziris was more or less at the same conundrum as Jiang Fei. She could not attack them by herself and would require Jiang Fei’s help.

“The leader has succumbed to her feelings for you. She did not want you to go and risk yourself. That is why she had sent me here to discuss the assault team,” said Straz. To be honest, Akatziris was also in dire need of Energy Crystals but Straz was never going to reveal that. Instead of asking to claim some Energy Crystals, which was their goal, Straz twisted it into an offering of help.

“No help necessary! We have more than enough manpower to complete this mission!” Sylphy roared before Jiang Fei would give an answer. Ariel and Nina were present in the room but neither one of them had the heart to be rude. Isabella was Akatziris’ little sister and to prevent awkward discord, she chose to be quiet. Sylphy was the only one that had nothing to lose. To be honest, she was still pissed by Akatziris’ previous betrayal.

Jiang Fei had no need for an alliance with Akatziris, at the moment, because he had already found other powerful allies. Moreover, attacking this Unknown base was to only gather Energy Crystals. It was not an attack on the main Unknown base. Until then, there was no need for Jiang Fei to work together with Akatziris.

“What is your answer? Our leader is extending her help to you!” Straz stressed on, ignoring Sylphy’s reply. He knew Jiang Fei was an emotional, emphatic man. A man that bent with the gentle wind but never the strong gale. Straz was confident that if he used Akatziris’ name, Jiang Fei would cave in.

“I don’t think I need your help with this. As she said, we have enough manpower! Don’t trouble yourself for something this minor.”

Straz’s face was frozen. He had never expected Jiang Fei to directly reject his offer.

“Do you not wish to think about it?” Straz pressed on. The construction of the ship was almost reaching its fruition. All they needed was a little more Energy Crystals! Without enough energy, the entire project would be halted.

“No need. If that is all, I’ll be leaving now. See yourself out. I trust you know the way,” said Jiang Fei before he stood up and left the room.

“Alright…”

Straz felt defeated. He had genuinely thought that Jiang Fei would cave in at the mention of Akatziris. He left without further discussion since Akatziris did not give him the order to reveal about the incident about the explosion.

“Darling, you did the right thing. I had a feeling that they were only going to wrong you again!” said Ariel when Straz left the building. She had never trusted Straz, not since she had discovered about the secret messages he was passing around with 0542.

“Thanks. I also felt that way. Let’s not dwell on it any further. Be it the truth or not, I feel that we should just steer further from them. I don’t think I will even work with them unless it’s about attacking the main Unknown base,” said Jiang Fei. The more he thought about it, the less trustworthy Straz was and Akatziris’s words are.

“I have a feeling that we should hastily increase our force. Something is coming and it is big. I just hope that it is not an omen,” said Nina by the side.

“After this raid, I would have enough Energy Crystals to revive all the New Saint’s Guards. After that, I’ll find a way to force them to reveal the location of the Bio-Lab!” Jiang Fei snarled. The Energy Crystals he had was scarce, he had only used the Super Radar system for a short moment. He managed to locate a few high-energy reading bases but not the location of the Bio-Laboratory.
