The Almighty Ring

On the next day, as soon as Jiang Fei logged into the game, he rode on his dragon to check whether the three big guilds had completed the Magic Circle.

From the air, the three big guilds’ Magic Circle appeared to be headed toward the final stage of completion. They would be done in about two hours.

“Brother Yu, get some people on standby to fight the Boss. I will be the tank!” Jiang Fei sent a message to Han Tianyu.

It was not an easy feat to tank against a Level 50 Boss. This was the case even for Jiang Fei. If he did not transform his body, he would suffer significant damages that not even a healer could help with. The Bosses now were different from the Bosses in the past. After the update, the Bosses had joined the Army Level. It was impossible to defeat them without hundreds or thousands of team members.

In fact, the groups of hundreds of team members could not be any normal Level 30 or above players. They had to be Level 50 and above with tremendous strengths. Therefore, at this stage, either tens of thousands of lives needed to be sacrificed or a very strong tank would be needed to bear the brunt of the Level 50 Boss attacks.

Fluer the Attacker was a Level 55 Boss. Moreover, in the crappy quest map, there were all kinds of enhancements to the Boss. Therefore, one could only imagine the significant boost to the Boss’ battle power.

Although Jiang Fei had nearly 40,000 Health Points at this point, with over 2,000 Defense Points, he believed that there was a great chance he would be slaughtered if he did not transform himself.

Jiang Fei’s Nephilim state could last ten minutes. However, it had a four-hour cooldown time. Therefore, if he were to be the tank, the Boss needed to be killed within those ten minutes. Otherwise, he would not be able to withstand the Boss’ attacks after his transformation period ended.

Fluer the Attacker had 3,500,000 Health Points. As Jiang Fei could ignore its Defense after transforming, he would be able to deal 5,000 damage per second. As such, Jiang Fei would be able to deal 300,000 damage every minute. At that rate, if he worked with the other players, killing the Boss in ten minutes should not be a problem.

However, Jiang Fei was the only person who could deal 300,000 damage per minute. Other players were not as strong as him due to their lower levels. Jiang Fei’s high damage output was built on the basis of his Chaotic Attack under the Nephilim transformation. Most of the other players would either miss or deal very little damage due to the extremely strong Defense of the Level 55 Boss.

Therefore, in order to stack up a significant amount of damage, they would need to recruit a large number of people as their main strategy. Considering the potential casualties during the fight, Happy Drunk even recruited a large number of people to be on standby. Overall, it was a very complicated matter.

After over half an hour, Happy Drunk had gathered a group of 10,000 people. Basically, all the talented people from The Aristocrats were there. These were the core players who had signed a contract with The Aristocrats and who were receiving fixed salaries.

Thereafter, Happy Drunk even organized a group of two hundred healers who were then split into four batches, each taking turns to heal Jiang Fei’s Health Points. This was done to prevent Jiang Fei from being instantly killed by the Boss.

Apart from these people, Happy Drunk had also gathered the second line of defense somewhere nearby. This was both a precaution against outsiders who wanted to cause trouble and as a source of replacement for existing players who died during the battle.

Once all the appropriate preparations were done, Jiang Fei led Little Rain and Seven Stars Warrior somewhere nearby to meet up with Han Tianyu and the rest. As for other players from Empyreal Dragon, Jiang Fei had decided not to bring them along. Although it was a group battle, Jiang Fei knew it was a dangerous task. The Boss would not only be attacking the tank but might also use group skills which may instantly kill any one of them. Therefore, Jiang Fei had decided to leave his guild members out of this suicide mission.

“How is it going? Are we ready yet?” Jiang Fei asked.

“Everything is ready. We’re only waiting for you now. Are we really able to do this?” Happy Drunk asked as he still felt insecure when he looked at the Boss with nearly 3,000,000 Health Points.

“Don’t worry! I am here!” Jiang Fei replied as he nodded.

“Ah Fei, when are you starting?” Chen Xi asked eagerly. She had never fought such a strong monster before.

“Let’s wait a little while longer!” Jiang Fei replied and laughed.

“What are we waiting for?” Chen Xi asked, confused.

“The three big guilds are still not done with their final setup. However, I have already informed Southern Azuresword to leak the news that we are starting the attack right now. I believe they will speed up once they hear that!” Han Tianyu laughed as he spoke.

“Yeah! Once they are done, we will start the battle. If we do not give them a chance, how would they be willing to join the suicide mission?” Jiang Fei laughed as he spoke.

“I think you are the one on a suicide mission!” Happy Drunk murmured to himself. He could not see their side’s advantage in such a situation. They were clearly outnumbered. If they waited for their opponents to get ready before attacking, it was akin to a true suicide mission.

Once the three big guilds gathered all their people from Dawnlight City, The Aristocrats could not possibly withstand the attack of the allied forces of the four big guilds even if Southern Azuresword switched sides. By then, if they were to take on such a strong force, Happy Drunk really could not imagine how they could possibly win. He had no idea where Jiang Fei acquired his confidence from.

However, both Jiang Fei and Han Tianyu were extremely calm. Happy Drunk was only the vice guild master of The Aristocrats and was only an employee to Han Tianyu at the end of the day. Therefore, the ultimate decision-making power was not in his hands. There was no point in his panicking.

After the group chatted for approximately an hour, Han Tianyu finally said, “Alright! Southern Azuresword has sent me a message. They are all ready. All we need to do now is start attacking and they will activate the Magic Circle!”

“It’s sorted then! Let’s start attacking!” Jiang Fei said as he walked to the front of the group. Isabella was still standing somewhere far away as she looked on quietly.

“I will lure the Boss in a while. All melee attackers will come with me. The healers just need to focus on healing. Distanced attackers, go all out with your attacks! Don’t worry about the Boss’ Aggro!” Although Jiang Fei knew the ins and outs of the Boss’ skills, he did not dare to share too much. Otherwise, others might start to wonder about how he was able to know so much without having fought the Boss before. Jiang Fei would not be able to explain himself then.

Jiang Fei also did not have a choice in making the melee attackers stay close to him. Although that would cause more little monsters to spawn from the Distorted Breath, it was better than the alternative of being instantly killed by the Boss’ Earth Shatter, which was four times its normal Attack Power.

“Healers, get ready! I am going to start attacking now!” Jiang Fei shouted as a purple thunder struck him from high up above.

Jiang Fei’s charging posture was unaffected. The skin on his body started turning purple rapidly. Simultaneously, a pair of large curved horns started growing on his head while a pair of wings spread wide open on his back. His Nephilim transformation had been revealed.

“D*rn! How many tricks does this young fellow have?” Han Tianyu was stunned by Jiang Fei’s epic transformation. He had decided not to join the battle and was therefore observing from the sideline as he witnessed Jiang Fei’s transformation.
