Chapter 784: Chapter 784: Covenant in the Shadows

Ethan closed the chamber door with a dull thud, securing the latch before turning toward her. The morning light filtered softly through the curtains, illuminating Isabella’s silhouette as she watched him with a mixture of curiosity and expectation.

”What is it you wanted to ask me?” asked Isabella the young lady, taking a step toward him.

Ethan stared at her, maintaining a serious, distant expression that contrasted sharply with the warmth of minutes ago.

”I need women,” said Ethan the young man bluntly. ”I know I shouldn’t be asking you, but I have no other choice.”

Isabella blinked, bewildered, her brow furrowing slightly.

”What?... I don’t understand, Ethan,” she whispered.

”I need pussies to raise my cultivation level faster,” answered Ethan the young man in an icy, pragmatic voice. ”The stronger they are, the better. Furthermore, they must be loyal and discreet... or they can be condemned to death and I can silence them afterward, it really doesn’t matter.”

Isabella stood frozen for a second, staring intently at him as if trying to decipher a riddle.

”Is this a joke, right?” asked Isabella the young lady, her voice bordering on disbelief.

”Not at all,” replied Ethan the young man with absolute firmness. ”I could do it with you, but... I don’t know if you’d prefer to wait until our wedding.”

Isabella let out a low, ironic chuckle, crossing her arms as she stepped closer to him.

”So you’re so hard up that you can’t hold it in and want me to fetch you some little sluts like when I hired you?” blurted Isabella the young lady, raising an eyebrow.

”Basically, you can look at it that way,” answered Ethan the young man without flinching. ”Or it could be you, but I must warn you it will be intense and rough.”

A bold, provocative smile played across Isabella’s lips. She closed the remaining distance between them and, without a moment’s hesitation, slid her hand down to firmly grasp the swelling hardness beneath his trousers.

”Oh, I have no doubt it’ll be hard,” said Isabella the young lady, locking her eyes onto his without a trace of shyness.

Ethan caught his breath for a second, feeling the heat of her hand radiating through the fabric.

”Are you sure about this?” asked Ethan the young man in a deep, raspy voice.

”My, my... you didn’t flinch against my father the king, nor against the strongest sects of the south,” mocked Isabella the young lady with playful sharpness. ”You stood before the Emperor’s enforcer and the sovereign himself... but now you’re scared of my pussy?”

Ethan clenched his jaw, a dark smirk touching his lips.

”Don’t regret it later,” warned Ethan the young man.

”You’re wrong about one thing, Ethan,” interrupted Isabella the young lady, cupping his face with her other hand as her eyes gleamed with boundless devotion. ”I’m not a woman who dreams of roses and flowers. My entire life I could only dream and wish to escape that cursed prison, and now that I can finally step out and be free, I cannot wait to be yours. I don’t need the biggest party in the kingdom... I only need you.”

Ethan laughed, extending his fingers to stroke her forehead tenderly as he looked into her eyes.

”I want to treat you like a delicate rose, but you want me to whip you like the cheapest bitch in the world?” said Ethan the young man.

”Ho ho, don’t get it twisted,” answered Isabella the young lady with a mischievous smirk. ”I am not a cheap bitch; I am a very expensive whore, but only in bed. If you dare disrespect me in public, I’ll rip your balls off, do you hear me?!”

”Of course, it’s crystal clear to me, my queen,” said Ethan the young man with a low chuckle. ”Why don’t we have some fun then? You won’t leave this room for two weeks.”

In his mind, Ethan send a message to Crul.

”Crul, get ready, said Ethan the young man internally. I don’t want to hurt her even a bit.”

[Are you ready, boss?], asked Crul in his mind.

Of course, I studied the Amethyst Ancestor’s Dual Phoenix Dragon Dance Sutra thoroughly, answered Ethan the young man.

[Good, just let it flow and control your yang], warned Crul in his mind. [She is slightly weaker than you in raw energy, but her cultivation is total trash. It’s superficial, made entirely through pills and energy transfusions, leaving her body in total dissonance. When you first draw out her energy and push it back in, the extreme purity of your yang will sweep through her body cleaning her meridians and organs, but she will feel pure hell. Control the intake, keep the absorption steady; your body is a giant sponge and if you aren’t careful, you’ll leave nothing but a mummy.]

Ethan wrapped his arms around Isabella’s waist, pulling her tightly against his body as his gaze darkened with insatiable resolve.

Upon stepping inside, both of them took in the utterly messy room; the sheets crumpled upon the bed, chairs out of place, and an atmosphere that possessed absolutely nothing romantic about it. Ethan let out a low chuckle, scratching the back of his neck as he surveyed the chaotic scene.

”Why don’t we find a better place for a honeymoon instead?” said Ethan the young man.

Isabella simply shook her head, letting out a long sigh filled with amused resignation.

”You kill the whole mood, you know that, Ethan?” said Isabella the young lady.

”Sorry, I didn’t expect you to be so...”, said Ethan the young man, pausing mid-sentence as he searched for the right word.

”Whore-ish?” interrupted Isabella the young lady, raising an eyebrow in defiance.

”Decisive, I would say...”, answered Ethan the young man with a crooked smirk, closing the distance between them to gently take her by the waist.

”You saved it well,” said Isabella the young lady with a sly smirk, resting a finger against Ethan’s chest. ”If you had called me a whore, I would have killed you.”

Ethan let out a long sigh of relief as he wrapped his arms around her.

What a mess I’ve just gotten myself into, thought Ethan the young man to himself, looking into the unyielding gaze of the woman he had just recruited as his cultivation companion.
