Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 904: Chapter 700: Reunion After Ten Years on the Road of Expedition

Fran looked up in surprise, his usually stern face rare with a bright smile: ”Hill! You’re here too! How come you’re here?”

Hill quickly leaped down from the air, ran directly to Fran, and gave his long-absent grandfather a warm hug: ”Grandfather! I missed you so much!

I really didn’t expect to see you here... How did you end up in Aber?

Were you swept in by some cosmic storm?

Normally, entering this universe, you’d basically end up in Toril, right?

I’ve been here for several years. Toril’s magic system is fascinating, and I’ve been learning continuously!

Ah! Actually, Coron and William joined forces, traversed several small worlds, and the opportunity was just right. I came directly from a world with a Dimensional Gate.

But now the Undead Tribe has also come to Toril.

Teraxil has a portal that can lead here, but it’s currently unusable.

This world just collapsed once and has just recovered, with only some small natural space gates available.

Otherwise, grandfather, you could have taken the opportunity to return to Teraxil for a visit!”

Hill rambled on incoherently and evasively, he was a bit too excited...

Fran shook his head helplessly, raised his hand to pat Hill’s back, and then touched the head resting tightly on his shoulder.

This child has grown so much! Almost as tall as him, time really flies.

However, Fran glanced sideways at the City Lord and the two Giant Dragons who were paying attention here, they’d better deal with these folks first!

”So it’s really Toril outside! It seems most people’s guesses were right, Suren is still the same Suren, they wouldn’t mistake that.

No wonder the iron-colored sky suddenly turned blue.” Fran lightly sighed, ”This is West Forest City on the Lalakond Continent in Aber, with the City Lord being the esteemed Primordial, Pietro Jacobs. I guess this counts as the third world I’ve arrived at!

I was walking in the universe when I encountered a Star Spirit wanting to come here... the storm he raised swept me along.

However, Aber’s elemental magic is really interesting, so I stayed here to expand my horizons.”

Standing next to him, Hill said with a smile: ”Toril has a greater variety of spells, come back with me, grandfather! I have a territory in the Ferun Great Land and even built a Mage University. You can learn this place’s spell philosophies, which may not be very powerful but are very practical.”

”Archmage Fran... please introduce this esteemed Toril lord for me!” The City Lord Jacobs finally moved. Upon understanding that the archmage who broke through the space blockade was also a lord, he quickly set aside his arrogance, no longer standing on the high platform waiting for Hill to meet him, but actively coming down.

It seems these Primordials of Aber view the two worlds as a whole, and Jacobs sees the position of a lord as very high.

When Hill just glanced over, he already felt that this Primordial and the two Giant Dragons were somewhat wary of Fran... In Aber, where there are many dragon lords and no deities willing to intervene, the law of the jungle is more apparent.

Otherwise, Fran wouldn’t say he’s expanding his horizons... it only shows he’s had many chances for battle.

Perhaps this City Lord and the two dragons have already fought him, otherwise they wouldn’t be showing such obvious disdain.

”Lord Jacobs, this is my grandson, the Nature System Archmage Hill Polanio.” Fran said unflinchingly, ”If you have any questions, feel free to ask, he will naturally answer what he can.”

”What exactly happened in Toril?” Jacobs quickly asked the information he most wanted to know.

”The Goddess of Magic was assassinated, Toril Magic Net shattered, Origin Power collapsed, fortunately, the Goddess seems to have reincarnated, and the Magic Net has relocated based on her Chosen.” Hill explained briefly and told them now the highest level of spells that can be used.

Fran suddenly smiled: ”Lord City, it seems your spell failure and the world transition are unrelated, you’ll be able to continue using them once you return to Aber.

No need to worry... time is the best friend.”

He touched his crystal ball, speaking lightly and freely... Hill knew at a glance that the Sphere of All Spells stored countless elemental powers.

Speaking of which, this world of Aber... is quite suitable for collecting various elemental spells!

The two Giant Dragons also cautiously looked at Fran’s... robe pocket.

The Alchemist Master is least afraid of physical attacks. Hill used to provide him with much Mithril, and coupled with the meteorite materials obtained from the Starry Sky, with his grandfather’s alchemy ability, he probably had long created sufficiently powerful knight puppets.

It looks like they’re usually kept in that pocket.

Jacobs said with an ugly expression: ”Who knows when we’ll be able to return to Aber? Where is the original continent here?”

”Exchanged with yours?” Hill said indifferently, ”The Mazteck Continent is also primarily human and humanoid races, and should be able to get along well with Aber.”

Jacobs doesn’t think this is a good idea... he still wants to go back!

He didn’t want to stay in Toril originally just to avoid getting entangled in the conflict of the gods, right? Otherwise, why would the Primordials with infinite life run to Aber?

They have no need for sunlight; when the Primordials were born, Suren hadn’t gone mad yet! Who cares what color the sun is, as long as Suren is around, moonlight is the source of their life.

Jacobs hesitated for a moment before asking, ”Can your mount resist space storms?”

”It’s mechanically modified... just added some Mithril dust,” Hill said nonchalantly. ”If you want to leave, you can come with me! But as you’ve seen, the space on it is limited, so you’ll have to discuss among yourselves how many of you can go!”

Fran quietly glanced at Hill, this kid really knows how to talk now! He didn’t even need to closely observe the whale; just based on his understanding of Hill, he wouldn’t leave just like that...

That whale definitely couldn’t have just its exterior modified; the space inside... it could probably fit a Magic Tower, right?

Just don’t know how he achieved it; that whale indeed looks like a living creature... What did Hill learn in Toril?

Could mechanical transformation be so thorough and still survive?

Fran was a bit interested... He was indeed quite familiar with Aber’s side, just right to follow Hill to leave.

”You don’t have to worry about him anymore, Hill.” Fran spoke directly, ”It seems only enough Mithril material can guard against those spatial cuts, which is good, these space storms are a kind of protection for them, Aber people are very cautious towards Toril.

During this time, they’ve never even thought of leaving here to go outside, worried only about the disappearance of the gray mist, or outsiders being able to break in.”

”Not possible for now,” Hill replied, thinking of Midnight’s age, ”At least not possible within three years, Toril’s Origin Power will probably take a long time to repair.

Unless the Goddess of Magic returns early, but so far, none of her Chosen in Toril have found her.”

Although he knows... he won’t say.

”Did the Goddess of Magic... die at the respected Lady of the Night’s hands?” Jacobs’ tone carried slight hesitation but was full of respect for Shaer.

Hill glanced up at the city lord with a rigid expression: these Primordials, though disheartened by the war between Shaer and Suren, deeply respect these two Primordial Maidens!

”The one who did it wasn’t her, it was the mad Cyric, but the planner should be her,” Hill answered straightforwardly.

As for Shaer’s failure to achieve her goal but ending up in a bad situation, Hill didn’t intend to mention it... Just like what these people say, Suren is still hanging in the sky!

Jacobs pondered for a while then said: ”Thank you for your enlightenment... Welcome to West Forest City, hope you enjoy your time here, Lord Hill.

I have some matters to attend to, so I’ll take my leave.”

He quickly turned and vanished from Hill’s sight after a few swift leaps.

These Primordials are quite strong... At least they can easily suppress those two Giant Dragons: Hill remembered that Aber only had the Sel Continent belonging to Primordials; the other continents are mainly ruled by Dragon lords.

And the fact that the city lord of West Forest is Jacobs clearly proves this Primordial’s strength and backing are not weak.

Otherwise, Dragons can be creatures that increase with every battle.

The two Dragons exchanged glances, neither willing to approach Hill themselves, hoping the other would lose patience.

Hill smiled brightly at his grandfather, eyes filled with exclamation marks: How many times did you beat them to make the Dragons fear like this?

Fran, in a good mood, patted Hill’s head again before turning to the two Dragons: ”If you want to ask something, hurry up and ask, we’re leaving soon!”

Hill gently opened his eyes wider but quietly remained silent, not knowing why Fran was in a hurry to leave, but he just needed to obediently listen.

Feeling that he could rely on elders... Hill happily smiled... it’s truly wonderful!

Almost all of Aber’s Dragons belong to the Evil Faction, so Hill was not surprised to see two Black Dragons before him, but what surprised him was... they seemed less influenced by the Chromatic Dragon Queen.

Has even the greedy Tiamat given up on controlling Aber?

What did AO do in that world?

Hill looked at his grandfather, hoping for some clues from him.

”If we go with you... What level of lords in Toril can we defeat?” A Black Dragon finally couldn’t hold back and descended.

”First, cities in Toril with some capabilities will have means to deal with Dragons... Also, Toril has Metal Dragons... And most importantly... Bahamut is very likely still on Ferun Great Land.” Hill unceremoniously shattered their dreams.
