Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 863: Chapter 559 Possible Enemies

It will take at least a hundred years for the Supreme Forest to be rebuilt, even with the elves’ expertise in planting.

As for Lynn’s parents, they are going to have tasks to occupy them in the future.

However, changing from planting flowers and grass to planting large trees is quite good.

Hill smiled, completely intending not to help. If he really wanted to repay the exceptionally kind Toril Natural Consciousness, he could simply plant more trees around Agleya City to help the forest here establish an ecological cycle.

Hill glanced at Coron, who was lying on his side with one leg crossed, and directly asked about the situation in Dolphin Bay. He was truly a bit uneasy; at times, he couldn’t tell if this sense of crisis belonged to him or to the Toril Natural Consciousness.

Coron should be able to offer him some advice.

Nevertheless, Hill originally thought Coron would be very interested in the fate of the Lord of the Deep Sea. However, although the Father of Elves showed a glint in his eyes, he had no intention of discussing this topic with Hill.

It seems the Father of Elves, although enjoying the spectacle in the Divine Kingdom, does not wish to bring it up himself.

Hill blinked, finally understanding that for Coron, topics of jealousy between spouses weren’t exactly things he would want to bring up.

Although the main reason Rose fell out with him was due to her uncontrollable ambitions, the origin of that ambition was jealousy.

Back then, to appease Aroshi, who like the Dolphin Goddess, was continuously weeping and complaining, Coron shared the strategic and scheming aspects of his divinity with his wife.

Subsequently, Aroshi indeed no longer focused on his philandering ways, instead walking the path of conspiracy all the way to becoming Rose.

Hill simply fell silent, waiting for Coron’s judgment on the matter.

Coron, contemplating, said: ”First go check if the Lizardfolk on the continent have become more active recently.”

Hill asked in surprise, ”What does the Lizardfolk have to do with the Demon Prince?”

Coron frowned and said, ”Dimogogan, in a sense, also counts as a Water Element Evil God.

All aquatic monsters in the Bottomless Abyss would heed his commands.

And on land, besides demons, the only followers he has are those cannibalistic Lizardfolk.

If he truly plans to do something, there will surely be movements among the Lizardfolk.”

Coron cautiously said: ”Even though I feel the devilfish’s sudden large-scale actions are to provide him with energy to participate in the blood war.

However, no one knows if this Demon Lord has other motives; it’s impossible to fathom what those two heads of Dimogogan are thinking.”

Hill nodded. The most troublesome thing on Toril is that, no matter how many hidden schemes are in play, until an event occurs, even powerful Divine Powers cannot make accurate judgments.

Therefore, if there are any public prophecies, and deities declare them inevitably true, placing the thought on the Tablets of Fate won’t go wrong.

He lowered his head, pondering that at least the actions of the devilfish are at an early stage; otherwise, Coron wouldn’t be completely unaware.

Hill glanced at List, and the Tower Spirit swiftly vanished to get news from the Harpist.

Coron, too, sat up: ”I’ve already informed other deities, and they are also searching for clues.”

Hill could sense Coron’s seriousness, even if this matter might just be Hill’s sensitivity; Coron intended not to overlook any suspicious clue.

He wasn’t like this when facing Grazt.

Hill suddenly recalled Teraxil’s Elven God King, sent out to track the double-headed baboon, even intervening to stop Dimogogan’s assassination attempt on the Star Spirit.

At that time, the double-headed baboon had just regained his Prince title in the Bottomless Abyss, and the pursuit of the Star Spirit was likely just a means to affirm his existence to the Abyssal Will.

Furthermore, although Dimogogan’s influence on the material plane is negligible, his reputation in the Bottomless Abyss is more formidable.

Coron must know something deeper, but he seems entirely unwilling to tell Hill.

Hill lowered his eyelids, silently recalling his memories of this Demon Lord. But aside from being ugly and having two minds conflicted with each other, he truly couldn’t understand Coron’s emphasis on Dimogogan.

”Don’t think. I know you are a smart child and have insights into many things. But it’s best to forget this matter and just look at the surface,” Coron said gently, ”Some matters, when the level isn’t enough, it’s better not to know anything.

Here in Toril, not many powerful Divine Powers have a significant impression of that one. Their most troublesome enemy in their minds is Six Fingers.

That one is definitely troublesome, but before he becomes a true Demon Prince, he poses no major threat to the powerful Toril.

The chaos created by Toril’s deities themselves is far more severe than that of any Demon Lord.”

Hill nodded solemnly, burying the matter deep into his Mental Sea and sealing it completely.

Then, following Coron’s hint, placing the danger level of Grazt at the highest, and regarding the Demon Prince, only considering what’s visibly apparent.

Luckily, as a Mage, one can give oneself hints.

”Sir,” List returned, ”The Lizardfolk have indeed become more active recently, capturing many humanoid creatures as sacrifices.

The harpist casually looked into the movements of the other two priests of the demon prince.

The Tiefling priest named Ilaice has been spotted at Santir Fortress, likely headed for the liches and necromancers housed in its dungeons.

The Prince of Shade Soul City ignores them; the place is nearly overrun by the undead.

For Ilaice, who runs the undead library, that location certainly offers plenty of stock, so initially, the harpist didn’t pay much attention.

Anyway, these demonic servants can only appear as avatars.

And also, another one named Chil appeared in Anmur half a month ago, but after committing three transgressions, he disappeared.”

Hill couldn’t help but twitch his cheek. Dimogogan’s followers are all ruthless, but Chil is the most disgusting one; not only is he a rapist, but he is also a necrophile.

What Hill couldn’t tolerate the most was that this guy... is a half-elf.

Nonetheless, maybe due to the same mental schism, Dimogogan descends upon Chil easily.

This nauseating Chil ranks higher than the lizardfolk priest and the Tiefling priest.

Additionally, this part-time wanderer demon servant has been pursued by the Righteous Knights and other kind alignment priests for countless years, yet no one has ever succeeded in killing him.

Coron was silent for a while before speaking, ”Anmur isn’t too far from here; don’t leave Agleya City anytime soon, and expand your puzzle lock to the fullest!”

Hill widened his eyes in surprise. Was Coron certain that the madman would come to Agleya?

He frowned and took out his magic book: If a puzzle lock is repeatedly cast on a location, the range of the water mist indeed expands, but it’s not easy to control.

Yet for territorial surveillance, it’s indeed useful. Hill previously thought that with the surveillance of the temporal artifact in Agleya City, his intervention wasn’t needed.

But Coron seemed to think the puzzle lock had bigger implications.

Silently casting spells, Hill suddenly remembered the mysterious downfall of the God of Mysterious Lock and the unresolved situation.

His divine soul exists in a forest thicket in a space-time crevice, but none of the Elf Deity System, usually united, ever stepped up to rescue him.

The pitfalls here at Toril... are indeed growing deeper!

Hill gently touched his Ranger’s Heart ring, determining his research on the puzzle lock would end here.

This twisted place is already chaotic on the surface, and the secret currents beneath are about to become a tangled mess.

Returning to city hall, Lynn quickly noticed the faint mist’s expanding range.

He walked to the window, gazing at the increasingly vibrant garden plants, softly asking, ”Marsha, what’s going on? Do you need me to do anything?”

”I’ll go ask; Mr. Hill didn’t say anything, it should be a sudden decision.” Marsha didn’t appear but left a voice message.

Lynn knew she was busy, yet she was indeed very capable, organizing even the complex relationships at the university neatly.

This was stronger than some half-plane tower spirits Lynn had heard about.

And List is reportedly even stronger than Marsha.

Based on Hill’s demeanor, he didn’t seem to find his tower spirit unique. Lynn smiled; it seemed Teraxil’s energy was full and very exploitable by mages.

No, Lynn suddenly realized, he shouldn’t judge by Hill’s attitude; he should ask Marsha about her capabilities compared to others at Teraxil.

However, when Marsha returned with news of Chil’s arrival, Lynn couldn’t focus on asking her.

This scoundrel among half-elves was actually coming to Agleya?!

He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist; he had dealings with this hateful demon follower.

Except for being rescued by Miliel, all the rangers and holy knights were shredded by that guy.

He watched helplessly as that guy, amidst the bloody rain, made crude gestures towards the descending Miliel and then swaggered off.

Lynn could only painfully endure; Miliel, not being skilled in combat, was no match for the descending demon prince.

Despite the Righteous Knights and Melikai’s Ranger’s Heart furiously hunting him afterward, Chil’s whereabouts were nowhere to be found.

It’s been a hundred years now! Lynn slowly unclenched his fingers: ”Marsha, don’t tell Hill; this person is dangerous even to Hill; let Coron’s people deal with him.”

He could not let the caring Hill voluntarily confront the demon prince’s possessor, Chil.

Marsha hesitated for a few seconds, confirming keeping this from Hill had no negative impact before quietly responding, ”As long as Mr. Hill doesn’t ask.”

Lynn lowered his head and silently contemplated before abruptly standing up: ”I’m going to the Undead Tribe to arrange a bounty on Chil.”
