Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 188: Chapter 29 Lobster, King Crab, and Tuna_2

The real trouble is, there may be more demigod sea monsters coming afterward?

Especially since he saw the sneaky swordsmen standing among the mages, and even some magicians, although he recognized only a few faces from those who showed up in the Abyssal War, he felt that a significant number of undead magicians must have come.

They are not taking action now because they do not want to miss out on those kinds of seafood. They are waiting for the best opportunity to strike, so as not to waste such fine ingredients.

He had heard the sea battle commander muttering non-stop, ”Hold on! Hold on! If those most important ones escape, it will all have been in vain!”

Spencer had noticed that the number of Undead in the city was growing.

It even far exceeded the number of participants from the Abyssal War.

For the Undead Tribe, is slaying these sea monsters considered more worthwhile?

Conflicts over positioning have already started; are they really that desperate for a piece of fish?

Apart from water mages, can the flesh of legendary magical beasts provide only a bit more vitality for humans?

If it were the women from his own world, after all, the flesh of water element legendary beasts could resist aging, so it would make sense for them to fight over it.

But what does this have to do with the Undead Tribe? Their bodies are made of elements, after all!

Moreover, among those who are the most frantic, there are quite a few men as well.

How does William understand the thinking of these Undead?

Spencer was puzzled, and he wasn’t even from the same world as William, was he?

Could it be a world that shares a common language?

But looking at the God of Time and Space and William’s behavior patterns, they seemed normal as well!

The Undead Tribe fought with great momentum, and Hill watched intently without blinking.

Old Cat had almost instantly switched the giant screen to the seaside battlefield as the fight began.

After informing Hill, List quietly flew to the second floor of the church annex, a room tidied up by List after Olivia’s departure, which offered an excellent view.

Hill looked at the video of the flashing giant sea beasts, quietly stretched out his hand, and touched the corner of his mouth. Fortunately, there was no drool.

The few ”salted fish” players in Hill’s Domain were already gathering.

Faced with the immense experience of the Abyssal War but unswayed, they were determined to set off, wholeheartedly charging for the seafood.

Hill glanced at List beside him.

”I have already informed Deputy Mayor Old Cat,” List said with a smile, ”Don’t bring this meat back to the domain. Our lord cannot tolerate eating intelligent creatures, at least not in our domain.

Bringing it back will result in a deduction of domain prestige!”

”What would I do without you!” Hill sighed.

Hill scrutinized everything and, noticing the absence of Bex, he felt relieved.

As he looked at the leading demigod sea turtle, as long as this Undead did not die here, Bex, who had the fate of innumerable fish in his hands, would likely not refuse to continue trading with him.

Seeing that crafty turtle, who would rather endure other species of sea monsters rampaging in his territory than come forward, one could tell that Bex did not want to make an appearance and offend humans himself.

Hill quietly returned, noticing that more and more mages curious about the new spectacle had emerged from the Lord’s Mansion. Once the players left through the Teleportation Array, his presence would attract attention.

And Bex, whom Hill was concerned about, was stealthily watching from a great distance.

Ever since that demigod issued a soul scream, he had grown restless.

Even for a demigod, performing such a move once must be strenuous. How had the Undead become so powerful?

When they killed that octopus, it wasn’t so frightening, was it? Wasn’t it just the octopus being foolish and unable to return after coming ashore?

Bex stretched his neck stiffly, looking back and forth at the Undead on the coast. How come there were so many?

The numbers from last time weren’t even half of what was here now, were they?

And there were still people running out of the city?

He silently sank to the seafloor and started frantically stuffing his bag with his favorite food.

Hill had given him a variety of foods, and fearing the mix of different flavors, they were all stored in special boxes, which kept them very fresh.

Bex cleared a few boxes and sighed as he placed his beloved rations into them.

If a demigod suffered too grave a defeat, they definitely wouldn’t leave a little turtle like him in such a dangerous place.

If the number of legendary sea monsters that died increased, he wouldn’t be able to guard the Undead domain as Hill suggested, either.

Bex only felt relieved that he had smartly handed the Sound Transmission Conch to Hill. Once things had settled down, the hope of trading still existed, right?

He surfaced midway, looking at the still stalemate battle situation, feeling more and more uneasy.

Why were the Undead Tribe only on the defensive?

Could it be they wanted to lure these foolish fish ashore?

Bex quickly dove back down, speeding up. Anyway, demigods were absolutely reserved and would not take the initiative to go ashore first. As long as it wasn’t his own ancestors dying, that was fine.

As for Spencer in the city, he was able to sit steadily now.

One hand propping his chin, he leaned on the edge of the table, watching the battle scene on the screen.

That emperor crab actually rushed onto the shore!

The knights cooperated very tacitly, choosing to die once, if necessary, to open a gap and let the giant crab into their defensive circle.

Then, the knight facing the giant lobster got a bit anxious. Their line of defense was always hair-raising, seemingly on the verge of collapse at any moment.

Even the demigod sea turtle seemed inclined to head in that direction.

Luckily, the Undead Tribe fiercely defending the front line entangled it completely.

Spencer heard the commander already cursing aloud: ”You bunch of rascals! If everyone gets screwed over for this shrimp meat, you’ll sing while others eat!”

However, their efforts were effective.

The giant lobster, seeing other sea monsters gradually approaching this way, couldn’t suppress its impulse. It waved its two pincers and charged directly into the crowd.

Spencer watched speechlessly as those knights, directly pinched in two by the claws and still leaving behind their final crazed laughter, passed away.

Just how tasty is this thing?

He began to crave it, planning to indulge himself in the feast after everything ended.

Once the two rampaging crustaceans were finally inside, the swordsmen who had been hiding and had not acted, finally stepped on the knights’ giant shields and made their move against the dodging and darting tuna, remembering the shout from behind, they all struck at the hardest part of the tuna’s head with their swords.

The Space-Time Warlocks, seeing the wounded tuna struggling to escape, along with other seafood wishing to retreat, unleashed their major spells under the protection of the mages.

Amid the flying snow, the twinkling Space-Time Dragon left three more sea monster corpses behind.

Even the demigod sea turtle was left with a huge scar on its face.

Spencer’s eyes widened as he recognized for the first time the lethality of this profession.

After all, past Space-Time Warlocks acting were at most a hundred or so, but this time, nearly two thousand had come.

This was the capital William relied on to never fear the incarnation of other deities acting together.

The demigod sea turtle roared, issuing a soul-piercing scream, turned, and swiftly swam away with the remaining legendary sea monsters.

Only leaving behind the silly crabs and lobsters, in the cheer of the Undead Tribe, having their claws removed, and dying with resentment.

The commander, who had always been terse and in control of the situation during the live broadcast, changed the tone of his speech: ”All right, hurry up, hurry up!

While it’s still hot, get moving! Everyone listen up!

Now, clear the field for the swordsmen!

Water Mages, quickly summon the Water Elementals, swordsmen, bring out the new swords you have prepared! Only the sharpest kind!

And the Priests? Don’t hide in the back! Hurry up with the Purification Technique!”

Spencer, watching the Priests who had constantly been circling in the back casting Healing Spells, coming up with giggles to cast the Purification Technique, could only helplessly shake his head.

Probably only the Priests of the God of Time and Space would use Divine Arts for such matters and not lose God’s favor.

The Archmages, who had been hiding in the corner, slowly made their way over: ”Lord Spencer, are we safe? Can we return to the Magic Tower now?”

These Archmages were not so foolish as to leave on their own, after all, serving the Royal Family meant striving for the rich benefits of the Royalty.

But if they were to leave the King’s cousin here alone to face death, what benefits could they possibly think of!

The few of them had discussed and agreed that if the Undead Tribe failed and the city was destroyed, they would definitely take the opportunity to lift Spencer into the sky and flee.

Unexpectedly, the Undead Tribe really was quite fierce! They even managed to drive off a demigod!

”Let’s stay here for now,” Spencer said soothingly, ”We still don’t know how many demigods will come with the sea monsters next time!

Let the Undead Tribe family with the highest military exploits from this battle guard the upper Magic Tower.”

The group exchanged glances, agreeing reluctantly.
