Chapter 442: Chapter 442: So It Was an Enemy

”We do not accept this! Luo Qingtong is the top student of Dongli Country, how could she possibly be assigned to the low-level class? This class division decision is unfair!”

The one who spoke was Chu Wenhao.

He entered Tianyu Branch with a recommendation letter from Luo Qingtong and was placed in the Advanced Class.

Upon hearing that Luo Qingtong was assigned to the low-level class, he immediately cried out indignantly.

”How insolent!”

As Chu Wenhao’s voice rang out, a cold voice responded.

From behind the recruiting seats of the tutors, a young man dressed in blue silk clothes suddenly looked coldly towards Chu Wenhao’s location.

”How dare you question the decisions of the institute?”

”It’s true that Luo Qingtong defeated Luo Qingtong to become the top student of Dongli Country. However, we’ve learned that Xinning was wearing the Luo Family’s Inheritance Armor at that time, which boosted her strength significantly! Given these circumstances, Luo Qingtong defeating her easily makes us suspect the legitimacy of her top ranking!”

”Moreover...” The young gentleman looked down at Chu Wenhao and said: ”Luo Qingtong was overly ruthless on the competition stage and even dared to attack the tutor overseeing the exam! Taking all these factors into account, placing her in the low-level class is not a mistake!”

”If you refuse to accept this...” he sneered, ”you may choose not to enter the Tianyu Branch!”

”You!” Chu Wenhao, his face flushing red with anger, retorted.

”Who are you! This is a decision for the institution - the tutors have the authority to make these rulings! What you say doesn’t count!”

”Hmph! Students within the top ten of the talent list have a say in the enrollment and class division. My words carry the same weight as the tutors’! When you make it into the top ten of the talent list, then you can question my authority,” the young man said haughtily, his gaze towards Chu Wenhao filled with disdain.

”Zhan Haopeng, always ready to teach you a lesson!”

”Whoa!”

As the young man’s words fell, the surrounding enrollment scene immediately buzzed with noise.

”Top ten of the talent list? Aren’t they very likely to be admitted to Daqin Saint Institute as preparatory students?”

”Yes! I heard that those who are stable within the top ten of the talent list by the end of the year assessment will definitely be recruited by Daqin Saint Institute! Being in the top ten is pretty much being half a student of Daqin Saint Institute already!”

”I had no idea we would meet such a figure during today’s enrollment! Those in the top ten of the talent list are so imposing, they have the same authority as the tutors.”

”Indeed! This Zhan Haopeng, I’ve heard of him; he’s ranked fifth on the talent list! He’s nearly guaranteed a spot in the Daqin Saint Institute!”

”Right, I heard that his mentor was Elder Qu, who was severely injured a few days ago...” someone whispered in secret, ”No wonder he is targeting Luo Qingtong.”

”It’s said that Elder Qu was overseeing the exams in Dongli Country and became infuriated by Luo Qingtong’s defiance. As a result, he inadvertently offended a passerby strongman and got beaten into critical condition. When he was carried back, he was almost gone, barely saved.”

Listening to these words, Luo Qingtong finally understood why Zhan Haopeng was targeting her.

Turns out, he’s a disciple of Elder Qu and the cheap senior brother of Xinning?

No wonder... he’s so arrogant.

Too bad, placing her in the low-level class just plays right into her hands!

Luo Qingtong was just worried about not finding a legitimate opportunity to enter the low-level class!

This Zhan Haopeng really did her a huge favor.

However...

Even if she intended to enter the low-level class, it doesn’t warrant others to scheme against her like this.

Luo Qingtong watched Zhan Haopeng across from her with a cold gaze.

Just then...
