Supreme Sword God

Chapter 836 - 835: Battle of the Dao, Cultivating the Sword Art

Ye Chen decided not to continue forward, but instead took out the Other Shore Sword Technique from his Storage Ring.

However.

The problem appeared once again.

Previously, he had only glanced at the contents of the Other Shore Sword Technique, and was unclear on how to specifically cultivate it, but here in the Other Shore Flower Valley, his vision was completely obscured, and even his Spiritual Power couldn’t probe.

Therefore, holding the Other Shore Sword Technique in his hand was of no use.

Miscalculated?

Ye Chen muttered to himself, then a flash of inspiration came to his mind. Relying on his connection with the Sword Tomb, he directly opened it and entered within.

The sense of powerlessness from lost direction completely dissipated.

Although it was dark inside the Sword Tomb, everything returned to his control.

”Elder Qingyi, Master Legs, Zizi...”

Ye Chen shouted.

After a moment.

Master Legs came running with his two large hairy legs, thumping along.

Little Phoenix flew over slowly.

”Hmm? Where’s Elder Qingyi?” Ye Chen asked curiously. Last time she clearly wasn’t that angry anymore, so why hasn’t she come now?

”Went to the tenth layer of the Sword Tomb.” Master Legs said casually, ”I just heard Little Phoenix say, you’re going to enter the Other Shore Flower Valley of Flower God Sect?”

”I’m already in the Other Shore Flower Valley, but the situation inside is too peculiar. The Other Shore Sword Technique I obtained from those in the Bloodline Martial Dao might be the key to entering and exiting the Other Shore Flower Valley. I’ve come to cultivate it.”

Master Legs responded affirmatively, saying, ”As long as you know what you’re doing, Luo Qingyi is not here, so I can’t keep an eye outside for you, moreover, I’ve heard about the Other Shore Flower Valley of Flower God Sect before, it’s a very unique place, you’ll have to rely on yourself.”

Ye Chen nodded, then silently watched the Other Shore Sword Technique.

This is a Sword Dao inheritance suited to bloodline physiques like Hua Qianxue’s.

Even if Ye Chen used the ancient clan’s origins to simulate it, it had little effect; he could grasp its form, but not comprehend its essence.

For now, he could only take one step at a time, memorizing the changes in stance thoroughly.

......

Tenth layer of the Sword Tomb.

A strong member of the Dragon Race, transformed into the appearance of a middle-aged man, with power surging from his body, continually absorbed into Luo Qingyi’s body.

After a moment.

The Dragon Race man withdrew his power, showing an expression of satisfaction, said, ”Qingyi, you’ve been cultivating the Primal True Understanding for a while now, and things look good; your ties to the source of the Dao are almost severed, maybe in a few more years, you’ll completely free yourself from these bonds.”

”Uncle Long, there is one thing I’ve always been unclear about.”

”Go ahead.”

”I feel, I can use the ties to the source of the Dao to control the power of the Dao.

Yet during my father’s last moments, he said I must find a way to sever the ties, if I can’t, never leave the Sword Tomb, why is that?”

Luo Qingyi expressed her confusion.

Without severing ties, leaving the Sword Tomb doesn’t necessarily incur backlash from the Dao, it might even grant stronger power.

Severing the ties means losing a considerable strength.

The middle-aged Dragon Race man said, ”Well, now I can tell you the truth.

The Dao is flawed, already invaded by foreign wills.

A mysterious entity seeks to control and replace the Dao.

If you leave, even if you can use the Dao’s power, you will be controlled by that mysterious will.

According to you, Ye Chen has contacted Reincarnators, Parasites, and even pure Bloodline Martial Artists, I suspect their aims relate to the Dao.

Your father deprived a strand of the Dao’s origin to extend your life by necessity.

Although he didn’t say, I have guessed part of the truth.

The grand scheme he and other mysterious powerful beings plotted, also concerns the Dao.

Even when your father entered the Divine Realm to slay gods, it similarly involved the Dao’s contention.

As for the true specifics, you’ll have to wait until you... or Ye Chen gradually uncover it.”

Luo Qingyi was silent for a moment, then said, ”Uncle Long, why have you been guarding the Sword Tomb for ten millennia for my father?”

The Dragon Race man chuckled, said, ”He told me to guard it a bit, so I guard it for him.”

”No deadline?”

”Your father didn’t specify, but I trust him, besides it’s soon, Ye Chen has reached the sixth layer of the Sword Tomb, when he arrives here, it should be my time to leave.”

Luo Qingyi was silent again, then said, ”Uncle Long, if the Dao becomes a cage, imprisoning someone, how can they be freed?”

”That depends on what kind of Dao Cage it is.” The Dragon Race man stated: ”Some are divine penalties, others are human-made, the world is vast, with endless wonders, the mysteries of the Dao are profoundly deep.”

”It should be restricted by Daoist Oaths, along with human forces.” Luo Qingyi said.

The Dragon Race man replied, ”You ask for Ye Chen, right? You previously mentioned, Ye Chen’s mother was once the Traveler of Primal Heaven, she breached the rules of Primal Heaven, they won’t spare her lightly.

And thus far, those from Primal Heaven haven’t found Ye Chen, it’s likely Ye Chen’s mother used a Daoist Oath to exchange something crucial for the Dao’s power, erasing all traces related to her and Ye Chen.”

Being a supreme expert, a little clue can allow deduction of vast information.

Luo Qingyi did not deny it, nodded, ”Ye Chen’s nature will certainly drive him to Celestial Burial Sea to rescue his mother, now that things in Cangzhou are wrapping up, he’ll soon set off.

Who knows what crazy move that stubborn mule will make then, so I want to help him clarify things.

After all, he’s my father’s successor, the master of the Sword Tomb, I should take care of him.”

The Dragon Race man looked at Luo Qingyi, half-smile.

Is it really for just those reasons?

However, he saw through but didn’t expose.

Girls are thin-skinned, no need to embarrass Luo Qingyi.

”The Dao Cage is unbreakable, thus only by disrupting the Dao’s operation, can one glimpse a chance.” The Dragon Race man said indifferently.

”How to disrupt the Dao’s operation?”

The Dragon Race man looked at Luo Qingyi, said, ”When you entirely sever ties with the Dao’s source, that strand of origin destroyed can naturally cause a slight impact on the Dao’s operation.”

”Uncle Long, I understand now, thank you.”

Luo Qingyi cupped her hands in farewell, then departed the tenth layer of the Sword Tomb.

The Dragon Race man gazed at the solitary earthen tomb in the tenth layer, said, ”Those Reincarnators are returning in droves.

And you?

Can’t you ever return?

If you don’t hurry, your successor might become your son-in-law!”

......

Sixth layer of the Sword Tomb.

In Ye Chen’s hand, the Celestial Mark Sword moved swiftly.

Sword lights blossomed.

Light converged, transforming into an illusory flower form.

Just mastering the form of the Other Shore Sword Technique, Ye Chen already sensed its power.

If Hua Qianxue that girl comprehended the essence of the Other Shore Sword Technique with the Hundred Flowers Saint Body, this would surely be a heritage comparable to top-level Forbidden Techniques.

Regarding power, it would be no less potent than a strand of Kunpeng Supreme Technique Seal he obtained!

Ye Chen sheathed his sword.

”Master Legs, Zizi, when Elder Qingyi comes down, send my regards, I’m heading out.” Ye Chen instructed, and with a thought, he left the Sword Tomb and returned to the Other Shore Flower Valley!
