Supreme Sword Exalt

Everyone was stunned, except for the old janitor hiding in the corner.

He watched Gu Han and the fatty banter back and forth with full admiration. “Now that’s guts! It’s been years since I’ve seen such bold youngsters. Ah, it reminds me of the olden days...”

At that moment, everyone stared wide-eyed at the two. Did they just insult the eldest prince? Yes! They absolutely did! Where did they get such audacity?!

Liu Tong pointed at Gu Han and the fatty, his hand trembling. “You... you dare insult my cousin?!”

Of course, the fatty was the type to provoke others without remorse. “Oh? And who’s this?”

Gu Han shook his head. “I didn’t see clearly... It looks like... a dog?”

The fatty slapped his forehead in realization. “No wonder! Dogs rely on their masters’ power! No wonder it’s barking so loudly!”

Nearby, Jiang Feng was completely dumbfounded. Mei Yun was stunned. He was struggling to process what had just happened. Are these two here to get me killed?!

Liu Tong’s face turned pale with rage. “Seize them... Guards! Seize these two! I want them dead—no, I want them to beg for death like it’s the only mercy left in the world!”

Suddenly, a furious roar erupted as a figure appeared before the two in a flash.

“Insolent brats!”

It was Yu Hua. He had long wanted Gu Han and the fatty dead, and now that the opportunity had arisen, he wouldn’t let it slip.

“Insulting His Highness is a capital offense!” he declared without hesitation and waved his hand, sending a surge of immense spirit power crashing toward the two.

Mei Yun paled in horror. “Instructor Yu, let’s talk this through! There’s no need for violence!”

Even though these two had overstepped, they were still his precious students!

Before the words fully left his mouth, Mei Yun had positioned himself in front of Gu Han and the fatty, blocking Yu Hua’s strike. However, his cultivation level was slightly lower than Yu Hua’s, and the impact sent him stumbling back several steps.

Yu Hua’s face darkened. “Mei Yun, you dare shield them?!”

Mei Yun groaned inwardly. “I...”

This is bad... really bad!

The fatty glared at Yu Hua with a fierce expression. “Fuck! This is the second time now! You really think I’m an easy target—”

Mei Yun nearly knelt in desperation, casting pleading glances at the three deputy deans. “Enough! Deputy Deans, what do you think...”

Commander Zhou said impassively, “Insulting His Highness merits execution! However, the final decision rests with His Highness.”

The fatty sneered. “Insult? He can target us, but we can’t even vent with a few words? All because he’s the eldest prince? What kind of bullshit logic is that! And here I thought the martial academy revered strength! Tsk, tsk, seems like it’s all about status and connections...”

Gu Han feigned disapproval. “Fatty, stop spilling the truth!”

The fatty played along seamlessly. “Ah! My bad, my bad! I accidentally spoke my mind! I can’t help but blurt out the truth sometimes.”

Even an ordinary person would be enraged by such insults, let alone someone as proud as Jiang Hong.

“Commander Zhou, seize them,” he said coldly.

Suddenly, Elder Wu, who had remained silent until now, said, “Hold on. In my opinion, this matter isn’t so severe. These two youngsters were wronged, and it’s only natural for them to vent their frustrations. Your Highness need not take it too seriously.”

Elder Feng nodded. “Indeed. Being overly harsh would only reflect poorly on your magnanimity.”

Jiang Hong’s face darkened.

He had long noticed that Elders Wu and Feng strongly opposed his presence at the martial academy. Their defense of Gu Han and the fatty was less about protecting the two and more about obstructing him.

Old fools! He cursed inwardly but refrained from lashing out. These two had deep roots in the academy, with many supporters. Ignoring their opinions would only hinder his plans to dominate the martial academy.

My master’s plans come first! As for these two, there would be plenty of time to deal with them later.

Suppressing his anger, Jiang Hong took a deep breath. “Fine! Since Elders Wu and Feng have spoken, I won’t press the matter further. This incident is over. Now, proceed with the competition.”

With Jiang Hong dropping the matter, Commander Zhou didn’t pursue it further. “Understood. Let the competition begin!”

Beside Jiang Hong, Liu Ying bit her lip. He escaped again! Gu Han... how is your luck always so good?!

Upon seeing the outcome, Yu Hua shot the two a resentful glare before stepping back.

The fatty spat disdainfully. “I’ll deal with you sooner or later!”

Gu Han’s eyes gleamed with approval. “Good idea!”

Mei Yun, who had just relaxed, felt his heart leap into his throat again at their audacity. “You two... Please... just lay low! I’m begging you!”

The fatty slapped him on the shoulder. “Brother Mei, relax! I am the epitome of laying low.”

Gu Han nodded solemnly. “Right. I’m not one to stir up trouble either.”

Nearby, Jiang Feng fell into deep contemplation. Perhaps, Chief Steward Li was right...?

Upon returning, Yu Hua whispered to Jiang Hong, “Your Highness, those two—”

“It doesn’t matter. If they claim the martial academy reveres strength, then I’ll see just how strong they are,” Jiang Hong said icily.

At that moment, one of Yu Hua’s students stepped forward. The young woman’s face was twisted with indignation. ”Your Highness, I’ll teach that fatty a lesson!”

To someone from the capital like her, Jiang Hong was an idol. She was infuriated by the insults hurled at him. As a top student in the third stage of the Acupoint Unsealing realm, she found nothing remarkable about the unassuming fatty.

Yu Hua frowned deeply. “Don’t be reckless. Those two’s strength—”

Before he could finish, the woman had charged forward. “Fatty, come and fight!”

Liu Tong chimed in as well, saying confidently, “Instructor Yu, don’t worry. How strong can these two be? Are they stronger than my cousin? Even if they are, we can wear them down through sheer numbers!”

Yu Hua sighed, still uneasy. “Let’s hope so.”

As the first challenger, the woman became the center of attention. Although she was nowhere as pretty as Liu Ying, she was still above average. Her tight-fitting outfit accentuated her figure, drawing many admiring gazes.

Mei Yun pulled the fatty aside, whispering urgently, “Remember that they’ll use wheel battles to exhaust you. Don’t push yourself too hard. If you’re overwhelmed, just surrender. It’s better to lose face than get hurt—”

The fatty shook him off impatiently. “Enough already! Me, losing? What a joke!”

With that, he strode up to the woman, hands behind his back, and said dauntlessly, “Little lady, you’re no match for me. Besides, I have a soft spot for beauties. Step aside and let someone else come forward. Otherwise, if you get hurt—”

The woman snarled. “Fat pig, enough nonsense! If you’re scared, kneel and apologize to His Highness!”

The fatty’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “You... What did you call me?”

The woman sneered. “You’re just a fat—”

Before she could finish, a blur flashed before her eyes. The fatty was right in front of her. The crowd gasped as no one had even seen him move.

His large hand shot out, clamping around her throat and lifting her off the ground.

The fatty growled. “Since I was a kid, I’ve hated those two words the most!”

Then, he started slapping her left and right in rapid succession.

In the distance, the old janitor scoffed. “And he says he’s not insecure?”

***

The arena fell silent, the sound of each slap echoing clearly. The crowd watched in stunned disbelief. And he says he has a soft spot for beauties?

Under the crowd’s bewildered stares, the fatty delivered dozens of slaps, before finally stopping.

“Go look in a mirror. Let’s see who’s the real pig now,” he said smugly, admiring his handiwork.

“I... I...” the woman stammered, unable to form coherent words.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to, but she couldn’t. Her face had swollen to three times its original size, resembling a pudgy pig’s head.

Feeling the crowd’s gaze, her eyes rolled back, and she fainted on the spot—not from pain but from sheer humiliation.

“Ugly hag!” The fatty tossed her aside, dusting his hands off disdainfully before returning to Mei Yun’s side.

Briefly, every woman in the arena instinctively touched their own faces. This fatty...

From now on, they’d stay as far away from him as possible. Even the three deputy deans couldn’t help but give the fatty a second glance.

Gu Han said, wide-eyed, “Fatty, was that you having a soft spot?”

The fatty looked serious. “Of course! Why do you think she’s still alive?”

Gu Han gave him a thumbs-up. “That’s impressive!”

Yu Hua’s face darkened as he watched the woman being carried away. This fatty is not to be messed with!

“Cousin.”

Liu Tong glanced at Jiang Hong. “What now?”

“Send someone else,” Jiang Hong said with an unreadable expression, shifting his gaze to Jiang Feng. “First, teach my useless younger brother a lesson. As for that fatty, I’ll deal with him personally later.”

“Understood!” Yu Hua immediately grasped his intent.

He summoned another student and whispered instructions.

The young man nodded eagerly and stepped forward, bowing to Jiang Feng. “Seventh Prince, I request a match!”

Elders Wu and Feng exchanged frowns. This is outright bullying!

“Very well.”

Jiang Feng had anticipated this the moment he defied Jiang Hong. Taking a deep breath, he prepared to step forward.

Mei Yun began to panic. “Your Highness, perhaps you should concede. Your strength—”

The challenger was at the fourth stage of the Acupoint Unsealing realm. On the other hand, despite Jiang Feng’s Extreme Cold Physique and Heaven-tier cultivation technique, he had only reached the second stage of the Meridian Opening realm. The gap was obvious.

Jiang Feng shook his head after a pause. “No. If my brother wants to humiliate me, he’ll find a way sooner or later. Avoiding this won’t change anything.”

Gu Han stopped him. “Wait. Let me handle this.”

Jiang Feng sighed. “Brother Gu, he wouldn’t dare harm me—”

The fatty sneered. “Tch. He won’t harm you, but he’ll make sure you lose face big time! That red-haired bastard’s cunning!”

Gu Han’s eyes narrowed. “Exactly. So I’ll play with him instead!”

Mei Yun’s heart pounded. “Don’t be reckless... You just said you don’t like stirring up trouble.”

Gu Han admitted. “True, but this time, he asked for it!”

With that, he leaped forward, landing in front of the challenger in an instant.

The young man scowled. “Who are you?! I challenged the Seventh Prince, not—”

A battered sword hovered at his forehead. The challenger broke out in cold sweat. He hadn’t even seen Gu Han draw his sword.

“You’re not good enough. Send someone who can fight,” Gu Han said flatly.
