Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 107: Chapter 93: The Teacher Who Guards the Star Mist Pool Chapter 107: Chapter 93: The Teacher Who Guards the Star Mist Pool “`

Su Yuan walked out of the classroom, briefly checked the electronic map, and then headed towards the Star Mist Hall located in the northern part of the teaching area.

The Star Mist Hall was a square building, with a small open plaza and a registration window in the center of the first floor.

Surrounding it were eight sealed rooms arranged in a grid pattern.

These eight sealed rooms were the Star Mist Pools.

At this moment, at the registration window sat a refined middle-aged male teacher, wearing gold-rimmed glasses and looking handsome.

The male teacher leaned back slightly, holding a brown book and reading it intently, with a highly focused expression.

Apart from this refined male teacher, Su Yuan didn’t see anyone else after entering.

He didn’t hear a single sound either.

The large Star Mist Hall was so quiet that even a pin drop could be heard.

It was even quieter than the Book Tower.

There were two reasons for this.

First, the Star Mist Pools were very expensive, so not many people came to cultivate here.

Second, the eight Star Mist Pool rooms were extremely well-sealed.

With the dual isolation of materials and barriers, all sounds and star power fluctuations were blocked.

If someone was cultivating in the Star Mist Pool, Su Yuan certainly couldn’t sense it.

Seeing the teacher immersed in his book, Su Yuan lightened his steps slightly and walked over to a square table in the small plaza to sit and wait.

At this distance, Su Yuan was able to clearly see the cover of the brown book in the teacher’s hand…

“Deep Exploration of Multiple Barriers, Volume Eight.”

“Seems to be a teacher specializing in barriers…” Su Yuan thought to himself.

In the field of Star Card Masters, Barrier Masters, like Artifact Refiners, who were skilled in setting up barriers, were quite popular professions.

As long as there was a Star Core, a Barrier Master could set up barriers with various functions.

And because barriers were durable, could operate autonomously, and covered large areas, in certain situations, the role of barriers couldn’t be replaced by skills.

However, barriers were not like skills which could be mastered directly through Star Card embedding, making entry for Barrier Masters more difficult.

Generally, for Star Card Skills, one could get started just by embedding and then continually practice and improve.

But Barrier Masters needed to master a large range of professional knowledge and skills to possibly get started.

Of course, nonetheless, this offered another choice for Star Card Masters with low cultivation talents.

Indeed, amongst many Star Card Masters with low cultivation talents, some had astounding barrier talents.

Once becoming an official Level One Barrier Master, their status would be much higher than that of a Bronze-level Star Card Master!

“Bronze Early Stage…

A freshman?” After about ten minutes of waiting, the refined male teacher finally put down the book on barriers, straightened up, and asked.

Su Yuan stepped forward and nodded, “Hello, sir.

I am a first-year student, Su Yuan.”

The male teacher murmured, “If I remember correctly, today is the first day of classes, right?

Normally, teachers wouldn’t discuss the Star Mist Pool with the students.

You must be from one of the earlier classes…”

Su Yuan thought to himself, so it turned out that not every class teacher talked about the Star Mist Pool.

The refined male teacher tapped on the book cover on the table and asked, “So, have you just started classes and you’re already planning to cultivate in the Star Mist Pool?”

Su Yuan nodded, “I want to try out the effects of the Star Mist Pool.”

The reason Su Yuan had come was to experience firsthand what effects the Star Mist Pool had.

After all, with his current strength, he had almost no opponents at the Bronze level.

He wasn’t even afraid of most Silver stages.

Earning academic points would certainly be faster than others.

If the effects of the Star Mist Pool were exceptionally prominent, he could promptly start tasks to earn academic points.

The teacher had mentioned that the Star Mist Pool’s details were only shared with certain classes at the beginning of the term.

This was likely because the academy thought these classes’ students could utilize the Star Mist Pool more effectively and sooner.

The refined male teacher sized up Su Yuan and slowly said, “For freshmen, academic points should prioritize Star Cards and Star Devices.

Quickly exchanging for suitable Star Cards and Star Devices will improve your strength in a short time, making earning academic points more efficient.

Entering the Star Mist Pool for a few hours won’t substantially enhance your abilities, but it will consume a considerable amount of academic points.

If you’re on the verge of breaking through a major realm, the Star Mist Pool indeed has exceptional effects.

The high concentration of star power makes breakthroughs easier.

But for regular cultivation, the Star Mist Pool merely saves some time.

For freshmen without many academic points, it isn’t cost-effective.

I see you’re not far from Bronze Middle Stage, but there’s still some distance.

It’s not the right time for you to cultivate in the Star Mist Pool.

Go back and train for another two months.

Gather at least four hours of triple-concentration Star Mist Pool time and then come back.”

After saying this, the refined male teacher picked up the brown book on the table and resumed reading at the spot where he left off.

Listening to the refined male teacher’s words, Su Yuan initially didn’t take “exchanging Star Cards and Star Devices” to heart.

After all, individual circumstances varied.

He was currently not lacking in either Star Cards or Star Devices.

However, what the teacher said next slightly surprised Su Yuan.

ƝονǤօ.ᴄօ

Being able to see through his star power realm wasn’t a big deal.

Su Yuan hadn’t mastered Concealing Breath, easily revealing himself to those with higher realms.

What astonished Su Yuan was the teacher’s accurate assessment that another two months of training would bring him to the peak of the Bronze Early Stage.

Su Yuan himself estimated he’d reach the peak in about fifty days.

If not for the Azure Sky Phoenix absorbing star power slightly faster than regular blue Soul Cards, it would take approximately two months.

It matched exactly what the teacher said!

This made Su Yuan ponder seriously.

Since the teacher suggested gathering at least four hours of Star Mist Pool time, it was likely intentional guidance.

Breaking through the Bronze Middle Stage bottleneck required four hours of triple-concentration Star Mist Pool, focusing academic points on the breakthrough.

In that case, there was no need to try now.

Given the teacher’s perceptiveness and his role in overseeing the Star Mist Pool, the advice was likely very reliable.

Four hours of triple-concentration Star Mist Pool needed 120 academic points.

He currently had 50, so needed 70 more.

Spending 30 points here would only increase the gap.

Thinking this, Su Yuan decided to follow the advice.

Compared to others, his cultivation progress was still a bit slow.

Although he caught up thanks to the Heavenly Sweet Fruit, he was still two or three months behind talents like Shang Baiyu in officially entering the Bronze stage, lagging even more compared to Xia Yue who was already at Bronze Middle Stage.

If he could leverage the Star Mist Pool to break through the Middle Stage in two months, he might at least catch up with talents like Shang Baiyu, if not surpass them.

Seeing the refined male teacher still engrossed in his book, Su Yuan did not disturb him further.

He respectfully bowed and left quietly.

The refined male teacher glanced at the exit, shook his head with a smile, and continued reading.
