Chapter 712: Naked, Unafraid

Naked, Unafraid

”You don’t need to stand like statues,” she said gently. ”No one here is forcing you.”

One maid swallowed hard. ”L-Lady Lira, we... we were only - ”

Not looking? That was Cynthia, voice steady, grown-up quiet. Moving up next to Lira, she stepped without rush, dark strands flat along her back. Shame doesn’t belong here

A hush fell as Rias tilted forward, eyes locking on the maid whose hands wouldn’t stop shaking. Closer now, voice low like a secret shared at midnight, she let the words slip out slow. Fear hung in the air - ripe, pulsing - and her smile widened just enough to notice. ”Could it be,” she murmured, the sound barely louder than breath, ”that you’re already scared?”

A sharp gasp escaped her. The air froze in her chest.

Laughing quietly, Syra’s bright green strands slipped down to touch her shoulder. Push too hard, she said, and fear will spoil everything instead

Mia edged closer to Nova, hesitation shadowing her dark gaze. Should they choose to go, there’d be no stopping them, she murmured, voice barely rising above a breath. Her glance slipped sideways, landing on Leon like a question hanging in silence.

A quiet look moved over the space again. Stillness shaped his face. Just standing there made people breathe faster.

”They stay because they choose to,” he said evenly. ”Not because they feel they must.”

Stillness made the moment hold its breath.

Lira faced the maids again, speaking softer now - more like a quiet offer than an order. Should you stay... then truly stay. Yet only when your heart says yes

There was a pause.

A long one.

After a pause, the boldest of the maids eased toward the knot at her neck. Though her fingers shook, movement continued without break.

Another followed.

Threads gave way. Down it slipped. Dropped without sound.

Not one of them wore anything now - Rias, Aria, Cynthia, Syra, Kyra, Lira, Sona, Mia, Tsubaki, Nova - all let go, open without excuse. Confidence shaped how they held themselves, not any need to shock. Spines straight. Eyes forward. The air thick around them, heat rising slow from bare arms and necks. Stillness spoke louder than movement ever could.

It wasn’t about flesh.

Power shaped it. Yet trust held weight. Still, choice tipped the balance.

Staring came the maids, frozen - hit hard not just by what they saw, yet also by how freely those women stood without guilt.

”How... how can you stand so boldly?” one whispered.

She moved nearer, the grin on her face now real instead of playful. That truth settles - trust comes from knowing whose shoulder you’re next to

Her gaze held nothing playful anymore. Just quiet sureness.

Sona’s hand eased onto Leon’s shoulder once more, her words barely above a breath. Not just me - him too - he watches. Every single one

Her eyes stayed on him as she spoke. Not once did they drift toward the others.

A hush came back - yet not the same. Fear had faded. Warmth stayed behind.

Down went the first maid’s uniform, sliding free without a sound. Loud came the whisper of cloth on shine, too loud for such a small act. Up and down moved her ribs, each breath shaky like after a long drop through air. Only silence followed, heavy as what comes before knowing.

Footsteps came after, each person moving when the last had gone.

It wasn’t because someone pushed. Just happened that way.

Far from duty.

Yet a quiet change had taken place.

Something shifted when their gazes caught - hesitant, open, probing. Not surprise left in them now. Just knowing. Knowing who they were. Who he was. The space between them humming, clinging like breath held too long.

Leon didn’t move.

He simply watched.

Measured.

Present.

Surprise flickers across the maids’ faces

The surprise had nothing to do with how daring they were. That moment - it centered on him.

He stayed back. Not reaching out. His gaze steady, not grabbing what he wanted.

A figure paused, still as royalty, watching someone give their promise without force.

Glances passed between the maisters, uneasy. One blinked slow, then another turned away.

A lump rose in one throat. The other rocked back, fingertips grazing skin like she needed to feel something real.

None dared speak.

The quite stretched.

One servant girl spoke so softly it almost vanished. She asked, eyes wide, if they were really going through with it

Footsteps stayed planted even when her words began to shake.

A voice came next, low like a held breath, ”This was our pick

Syra exhaled slowly. ”Look at him,” she said, not unkindly. ”Does he look like a man who forces anything?”

Again, every face shifted toward it.

A quiet intensity lived in Leon’s eyes, shadowed yet calm. Heat flickered there - sure - but held tight by something stricter. Not wild. Measured.

It held them still, somehow. A quiet shift took place.

The hesitation fractured.

A second maid moved ahead just after.

Then another.

Fabric loosened.

Cloth fell.

Skin met air.

Now the walls didn’t echo like those of some grand house. Instead, they held still - like silence before a change that can’t be undone.

Something in Leon’s gaze stayed steady - never rushing, never rough. A shoulder’s line held his attention. Then the small tightness along a back. The pause before swallowing. Posture showed power, yes - but also how they stiffened when unsure. What kept them there mattered most. Quiet, but clear.

Focusing only on shapes wasn’t his aim.

He was looking at trust.

Up he rose, cautious. A pause in his chest, a look sharp with longing deepening in his gaze.

A shift in position changed everything around it. Stillness broke without warning. Air responded instantly. Every breath felt different after that.

The room stilled.

His presence shifted.

Less playful.

More commanding.

Faded now, that light tease of heat. In its place, a weight settled. Not careless. Each movement shaped by quiet purpose. Strength held tight under the surface.

A slight shift ran through one servant. Her grip clenched, just off to the edge. She didn’t move further.

Just then, as warmth blurred his thoughts, he tilted his chin a fraction - message slipping past stone barriers without sound.

Sound never left his lips that day.

That was never part of the plan.

Commander Black received only one simple order: ”No one enters within two kilometers of my estate. Complete shutdown until I order.”
