Chapter 368: Interruption

Interruption

”Many more times, please...” Cassidy breathed softly, her arms holding tightly about Leon’s shoulders as if she could pin herself to him eternally. Her lips quivered with a half-smile, half-beg. Her cheeks were flushed as hot coals.

Leon laughed deep in his throat, softly kissing her puffed lips. ”Greedy,” he whispered tenderly, but his tone was filled with warmth instead of rebuke.

When their lips finally separated, both were gasping, beads of sweat forming across their unclothed skin. For an instant, neither of them said anything—they simply stared at one another, and then, as if thinking the same unspoken thing, both burst out laughing. The rigidity relaxed into something humorous, almost childish, and Cassidy hid her smile by covering her mouth and Leon shook his head in mock irritation.

But before they could settle into their laughter, a voice pierced the room—tart, abrupt, shocking.

”Master!”

The door creaked wide with a weighty force, thudding against the wall as it burst open.

Leon was stopped in motion. He lay still inside her, his weight upon her, skin slick with sweat pressed tight together. Cassidy’s nails dug into his spine as both of them jerked about to face the doorway.

Mia froze there, black eyes wide, dainty form rigid in the doorway.

”.Mia?” Leon’s voice grated, shock shattering his composure. He shifted slightly, enough to look over his shoulder as Cassidy was beneath him, just as frozen, a flush of fear creeping over her face.

The disciple’s eyes focused on the scene: her master’s muscular frame bent over a woman she had assumed she would never see again. The atmosphere was heavy with the scent of sex, perfume clinging to the air like damp incense. Leon’s rigid length remained deep inside Cassidy, and their flushed faces gave away just what Mia had caught.

Cassidy’s heart lurched. Passion still burned in her veins, but the weight of reality crashed into her chest when she saw the girl’s expression—shocked, trembling, caught between disbelief and something darker.

For a single beat, no one moved.

Then came Cassidy, the first to come back to herself. She took a sharp breath and thrust against Leon’s chest. The sudden movement caused him to grunt as he slid out of her body with a sucking wet sound. She let out a startled moan, ”Ahh—mnnhh...” as warmth and moisture flowed from her onto the bed.

Leon grunted at the departure of her heat, his flesh shivering with the aftershocks of release. Cassidy blushed and fluttered, catching at the first blanket in reach and pulling it tightly across her chest, wrapping herself with agitated fingers.

Leon was taken aback by her push and stepped back. His heel caught on the edge of the bed, and he sat down with an awkward thud on the floor. ”Ouch—damn it...” He growled, rubbing at his shoulder, but the pain burned couldn’t compare to the burn of embarrassment.

The room was quiet except for their gasping breaths.

Mia’s lips quivered. Her face, half-hidden in the veil of her dark hair, was bright red. Her eyes flicked from Leon lying on the floor to Cassidy lying on the bed, then to the knotted sheets still moist from sweat and fluids.

”I—I’m sorry,” Mia muttered, her voice trembling as if each word hurt her throat. ”I didn’t mean to intrude. I just... I couldn’t take it anymore, hearing those sounds... I crashed in without thinking. I shouldn’t have. Forgive me...” She spun around, her black hair flying across her cheek as she attempted to flee.

”Mia, wait—” Leon scrambled to his feet, but his words died when he observed her rigid shoulders, her shaking hands clutched on the doorframe as though she might slump.

She hesitated in mid-step, at war with running away and confronting what she had just witnessed. Her master’s voice had always been her anchor, and even now, shame and confusion tangled in her chest at leaving him behind.

Then, in a soft voice, a different voice intervened.

”Mia.”

Cassidy’s voice.

The disciple’s breathing caught. She turned slowly, unbelievingly, back toward the bed.

The woman on the couch was not the gaunt, dead thing Mia had expected. The blanket hugged her naked body, but she was straight-backed and solid, emitting a radiance of presence. Her hair, once splintered with grey, now cascaded in lustrous black waves down her shoulders—darker still than Mia’s own. Her eyes, dark and distant, met Mia’s with a gentleness that left her short of breath.

Her skin, alabaster white and silky smooth, glimmered softly with sweat. Her lips, swollen, her face red, bearing faintly the markings of her passion for Leon. But none of that mattered.

All Mia perceived was the impossible.

Her throat constricted, her eyes blurring with tears as her lips parted in a soft murmur. ”M... Master’s wife...? No... it can’t be... C-Cassidy...? Is it really you?”

The older woman’s smile faltered, bittersweet and tender. ”Yes, Mia. It’s me.” Her voice held a vitality that had not been there for so long, a warmth that enveloped the disciple like a dusty hug.

Mia’s heart thudded. The guilt, the confusion, the envy—all were consumed whole by the wave of recognition.

”Cassidy...” she panted, before stumbling in his direction. With no thought in her head, no hesitation, she rushed to the bed and flung herself onto Cassidy’s chest.

The blanket slid away, but neither of them noticed. Mia buried her face against the woman’s shoulder, crying hard as her hands wrapped around her like a lost child who had finally found home once more.

Cassidy’s arms closed around her tightly, trembling as fresh tears welled in her own eyes. She buried her face in Mia’s hair, whispering, ”I’m here, Mia... I’m here.”

Leon stood frozen at the side of the bed, watching as two of the most important women in his life held each other, their tears mingling with the heavy scent of passion that still lingered in the room.

The lust storm had burst. What was left was naked, unprotected humanity—love, suffering, reunion.

And in that instant, none of them could move, suspended between the passion of what they had just experienced and the newly remelted bond.
