Supreme Harem God System

“Your friends plan to take your subordinates, your people, and then your allies before they single you out and end you.

Quite efficient, even if I do say so myself.

I didn’t know my powers could be used this way.”

The Devil laughed, clearly impressed by himself. Dainar, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes and,

“You think this would work?”

“What’s stopping me?”

“Me.”

“And how do you plan to do that?”

The Devil chuckled.

“Don’t think you can stay hidden forever.”

Dainar threatened, and at those words, the Devil’s grin widened as he spread his arms and,

“I am right here, my friend. Use every power you have, call every ally who is willing to help you, and try to get to me.

I challenge you.”

The Devil spoke, his purple eyes shining playfully.

“Go, go to your allies, tell them that you need their help to protect your own subordinates. I would like to see what their reaction would be.

Why don’t you order your subordinate to contact them? Oh wait—”

The Devil then grabbed the head of an unconscious being and,

“—that subordinate is with me.

My bad, guess you would need to ask someone else~”

“…”

Seeing the man taunting him without a care in the world, Dainar clenched his fists in frustration. All this while, he had been trying—trying to sense the Sirecall’s Coordinates, trying to get to this bastard and deal with him head-on, but…

“It doesn’t work, does it?”

The Devil chuckled.

Then, suddenly, the Sirecall, the artifact Dainar had been trying to trace all this while, appeared in his hand.

“Quite an interesting thing, this one.”

He muttered, staring at the artifact.

“It was constantly emitting Space Energy, trying to bring you here. I had to put quite some effort into making it stop, but even then, it is still trying to send you the coordinates so you can get here yourself.

Of course, I could destroy it to make it stop, but then where is the fun in that? Keep trying. I wish to see whether you would rather continue to resist pointlessly or act like the grown man you are and listen to my demands.

I assure you, it isn’t something big. You see, I am a busy man. Even I do not wish to make someone’s life miserable just because his friends do not like him.”

The Devil chuckled. Soon, however, his expression changed as playful eyes turned frosty and,

“But I am also quite vindictive. Try to get in my way, and I will go out of my way to make sure you are destroyed.

You don’t want to face that, trust me. It is not worth it, especially considering I am not asking for much.”

“…What do you want?”

Dainar questioned.

He realized that even if he could find him and get to him, it would take time, and it was too much work. At the very least, he could listen to his demands. If it was something that wasn’t too hard to accomplish, then negotiations could be done, saving him the pointless effort.

“The Temple of Time.”

The Devil spoke, and the instant he heard those words, Dainar’s expression changed.

“So you know about it.”

The Devil grinned, noticing the change in Dainar’s expression.

Honestly, even after absorbing Dainar’s subordinates’ memories, he hadn’t found anything regarding the Temple of Time, so he was somewhat skeptical. Dainar’s expression, however, made things somewhat easier.

“What do you wish to know?”

Dainar questioned.

“Everything you know about it. What it is, what it is used for, where it is—everything.”

“And what do I get in return after I give you what you want?”

“Your subordinates back?”

The Devil tilted his head as if that was obvious, and Dainar just stared at him with a deadpan look on his face.

“…”

“…”

A staring contest started between the two until Dainar finally had enough of it and,

“You want me to give you information in exchange for the subordinates I do not even care about?”

“…Yes?”

“…”

Dainar’s mouth twitched.

“It saves you quite a bit of effort, you know?

Do you truly wish to lose all your power just to hold onto the information you do not even care about anymore?”

“Do not care about anymore? Do you even know wha—”

“Stop pretending. Even your closest subordinates didn’t know anything regarding the Temple of Time, and you clearly do not hide anything from them since you trust them quite a bit.”

“Information regarding the Temple of Time isn’t something I can trust my subordinates with.”

Dainar answered directly.

And seeing that he wasn’t giving in, the Devil just shrugged,

“Well, if you wish to play the long game, then…”

Just as he was about to end the call and contact the second leader to demand the same thing,

“Wait.”

Dainar called out.

“What is it?”

“Attack them instead.”

“Hmm?”

“Attack their subordinates instead. Make them lose power. Ally with me, and I’ll tell you everything you need to know.”

This time, the Devil was the one who stared at Dainar with a deadpan look on his face.

“…”

“…”

The second staring contest began, and this time, the Devil lost as he gave in.

“So you want me to help you, the losing side? How do you think that would even play out? Even if I abduct their subordinates, the moment you press forward and try to destroy their reputation, they will directly target and get rid of you.

I doubt you are strong enough to take on all of them. Siding with you is foolish. I might as well go to them and negotiate regarding the information.

I thought you, as the losing side, would be a better choice to get the information from, but it seems like I was wrong.”

Once again, the Devil was about to cut the call, but then,

“…Then a favor.”

Dainar called out.

“A promise that in the future, you will help me with anything I ask as long as it doesn’t endanger your life.

How about it?

Promise me that, and I will tell you everything there is to know about the Temple of Time.”

“Now that’s something that can be arranged.

You are finally learning how to make a Deal with the Devil.”

The Devil grinned.
