Supreme Harem God System

“I-I-I didn’t mean tv- to!”

“Did you just bite your tongue?” Nux questioned with a light smile on her face.

“N-No, of course not.”

“Is that so?” Nux smiled, staring into Lyriana’s eyes.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Nothing.” Nux continued to smile, a smile Lyriana didn’t like one bit.

“Don’t lie. Tell me what you are thinking.”

“I was thinking how wrong I was.”

“What do you mean?” Lyriana frowned.

“I always thought of you as some cold beauty, a woman unattainable by anyone; it is quite surprising to know that you have such a cute side. You even bit your own tongue just now.”

“I didn’t bite my tongue!”

“Right.” Nux nodded, the smile on his face never disappeared. It was clear that he didn’t believe Lyriana one bit, and he made sure that the woman knew that.

“Nux, I am telling you, I did no—”

Before Lyriana could continue any further, Nux suddenly placed his finger on her lips, and she froze.

Nux’s smile widened.

“W-What are you doing?” Lyriana questioned as she moved her face back.

“Nothing, just taking my revenge,” Nux replied as he moved his hand away.

“I will return to Nexus soon.”

Suddenly, he spoke with a solemn look on his face.

“I understand.”

“It would take some time before I am able to he—”

“Nux, it is alright, I was impatient, I didn’t know what you were going through, you ca—”

“No.”

Nux interrupted.

“Let me complete.” Discover hidden stories at m,v l’e-NovelFire

He spoke, looking at Lyriana intensely.

The Elven Queen gave in and nodded lightly.

“It would take some time before I am able to help you. Years, decades, or even centuries, I do not know how long it would take, but… I give you my word that I will help you, and until I do, I want you by my side.”

The Elven Queen stared at Nux and then, a light smile appeared on her face.

“I left my Kingdom and my Daughter for this, Nux. You won’t get rid of me that easily.”

“Trust me, the last thing I want right now is to get rid of you.”

Nux smiled as well.

The two stared at each other and then,

“Once again, I apologize.”

“I apologize as well.”

“You did nothing wro-“

“I did. And I promise I will make up for it.”

Seeing the look on her face, Nux knew there was no point in trying to convince her. The Elven Queen was a prideful woman. Her pride was no less than Vyriana’s, and since she had made up her mind, nothing could be done.

“Then I will make you make up for it,” Nux spoke.

Lyriana nodded.

“I will take my leave then.”

“You should. You have a new world you need to dominate just like you dominated Yrniel.”

Lyriana smiled.

Nux smiled as well, then, suddenly, he moved forward, cupped Lyriana’s cheek, touched her lips with his thumb, and before she could react, he disappeared.

“Take care of Eisheth, she is tired.”

“…”

Lyriana, however, couldn’t say anything. She was too busy trying to understand what suddenly happened and… why her heart was beating so quickly.

…

Inside the Fortune’s Call building, a woman with pale skin, three eyes, and dark purple hair was sitting on the counter, spending her day just like she normally would.

Her name was Arshia; her job was to help the mercenaries here whenever they came to her. However, she wasn’t exactly a hard worker.

Sure, she was good at her job, and that was the reason she wasn’t kicked out despite trying to waste time with every opportunity she got.

She would chat with the mercenaries when she was bored, take a break when she was tired, and would just leave if she felt like it.

Even now, since no one was coming to her counter, she wanted to move to one of her colleague’s counters and annoy her while she was working to pass time. However, the moment she decided to move,

The doors of the building opened up, and a couple walked in.

A handsome man with long black hair and golden eyes and an equally beautiful woman with black hair and eyes. The moment the couple entered, they attracted attention. It was pretty normal; new faces normally attracted attention, especially when they were strong Sovereigns and that good-looking.

Of course, Arshia didn’t care.

Sure, they were beautiful, but that’s it.

Or…

At least, that’s how things normally should be. But then, the man suddenly glanced at her and started walking towards her with a smile on his face. The woman beside him followed him.

Arshia paused.

Since they were coming to her, she couldn’t just move, right?

Arshia smiled as she glanced at Nux and,

“A new face, finally.”

She greeted.

The man reached her counter, and his smile widened,

“You look happy,” he spoke.

“Of course. Just look around, how often do you think I get to see an above-average face?”

Arshia chuckled.

The rest of the mercenaries present in the Hall stared at her with disapproving looks on their faces. Clearly, they didn’t like what she said, not that Arshia cared.

The man looked around; there were all sorts of people with different features here. Most of them had rough looks, scars on their bodies, and were like bulky giants. Seeing such a sight, the man looked back at Arshia and,

“I pity you.”

“Right?!” Arshia slammed her desk in excitement, attracting even more attention from the mercenaries around.

“This is why I need a handsome man around me.”

The woman quickly controlled herself, leaned her body forward, showing her cleavage as she stared at the man with a seductive look on her face.

Seeing her act like that, the man’s smile widened. He then leaned forward, excited, Arshia leaned forward as well.

The man then brought his mouth close to her ear, impressed by his boldness, she tilted her head, making it easier for the man to approach her, then suddenly, the man whispered,

“You shouldn’t say those words.”

“Huh? What do you mean?” Arshia frowned.

Then the man pointed at the woman standing behind him and,

“She may be smiling, but she isn’t any different from her daughter when it comes to such things.”
