Supreme Devouring God

Chapter 95: Chapter 95 The Arena Battle Begins!

”Qin Chen!”

When Qin Chen stepped off the Heavenly Ladder and arrived at the seating area for the Thunder Sky Sect disciples, Sheng Xuefu rushed over and hugged him tightly.

”Cough, cough, cough!”

Qin Chen immediately felt his breath constricted and started to cough violently.

”As expected from someone from our Saint Institute, you’ve truly brought prestige to us!”

Sheng Xuefu was extremely happy, her face brimming with pride.

Following Sheng Xuefu, Yun Jin, Dai Yinrui, and others also showed faces filled with joy.

Especially Yun Jin.

He remembered how Qin Chen had looked when he first arrived at the Thunder Sky Sect, and now, in the blink of an eye, three months had passed, and the change in Qin Chen was huge, causing Yun Jin to be impressed.

”So what if he’s climbed to the top of the Heavenly Ladder? In the second phase, it’s the strength that counts!”

Luu Tianxue’s face was pale, but soon, her complexion changed back.

Yes, reaching the top of the Heavenly Ladder meant nothing.

”This second phase, I will let them see the strength of our Azure Sky Sword Sect!”

Liang Hongru’s eyes flashed with a bright light.

”The first phase, ascending the Heavenly Ladder, has concluded. Here, we should congratulate Qin Chen of the Thunder Sky Sect for breaking the record for the Heavenly Ladder in Thunder State!”

Lei Shan walked to the center of Thunder State Hall and announced loudly.

As Lei Shan finished speaking, except for the Azure Sky Sword Sect, people from the other sects began to applaud one after another.

Clearly.

This was something worth celebrating.

”So, up next is the real highlight of this sect competition, the arena battles!”

”Lei Yi!”

Lei Shan called out.

”Present!”

A man in a yellow robe approached.

”Activate the Thunder Suppression Array!”

”Yes!”

Lei Yi nodded.

Subsequently, everyone could see him holding twenty Crystal Stones in his hand.

Seeing these twenty Crystal Stones, many eyes became fervent with desire.

”It’s Elemental Crystals!”

Qin Chen was also a bit surprised.

This was a full twenty Elemental Crystals!

Then, Lei Yi placed these twenty Elemental Crystals into a restriction at the side.

Boom!

As the Elemental Crystals were placed, the center of Thunder State Hall emitted a loud booming noise.

Soon after.

Qin Chen could see a faint layer of blue-purple protective film appearing at the center of Thunder State Hall.

”It is said that the Thunder Suppression Array is incredibly sturdy, such that even a warrior from the Earth Element Realm would find it difficult to destroy. Tsk tsk, just activating this array needs twenty Elemental Crystals, so extravagant.”

At that moment, Qin Chen heard Xuu Nian at his side make a comment.

Qin Chen inwardly nodded in agreement.

Indeed, the activation of the array required twenty Elemental Crystals, which was indeed quite extravagant.

After all, Qin Chen had spent quite some effort just to get two Elemental Crystals.

”Now, I announce that the second phase, the first match of the arena battle, officially... begins!”

As Lei Shan’s declaration ended, the entire Thunder State Hall started to boil with excitement.

Different powers all wanted to see who would dare to be the first one to step onto the arena.

After all.

The first match of the arena battle was for the top spot.

So, many people were merely watching from the side.

”I am Yun Xing from Azure Sky Sword Sect, Ancient City Fei of Thunder Sky Sect, do you dare to fight me?!”

At this moment.

Yun Xing, who had previously delivered a message to Qin Chen, was the first to step into the Thunder Suppression Array.

And he directly challenged Ancient City Fei!

There was quite a stir at the scene, as this was the first battle.

Qin Chen also glanced at Ancient City Fei, curious.

He wondered why Yun Xing kept provoking Ancient City Fei.

”This damn Yun Xing, just because the Yun Family and the Ancient Family are sworn enemies, keeps provoking Brother Ancient City Fei!”

Just then, Xuu Nian beside Qin Chen cursed.

Upon hearing this, Qin Chen understood.

So it was a family feud!

No wonder Yun Xing kept provoking Ancient City Fei.

”Is there anything I wouldn’t dare to do!”

At this moment,

Ancient City Fei also let out a wild roar.

Qin Chen could see a deep anger in the depths of Ancient City Fei’s eyes.

Clearly,

being repeatedly challenged by Yun Xing, especially in front of so many people this time, had angered him.

”The first battle, has begun!”

”It seems there’s not much suspense!”

”Yeah, Yun Xing may only rank fifth in the Azure Sky Sword Sect, but compared to a disciple from Thunder Sky Sect, he should be stronger, right?”

Other sects all looked on as if they were watching a fight between tigers.

Within the Thunder Suppression Array, Ancient City Fei and Yun Xing stood face to face.

A deep disdain could be seen on Yun Xing’s face.

”Yun Xing, you’ve challenged me time and time again, today I’ll show you how formidable I am!”

Ancient City Fei was burning with rage inside.

Then,

a tremendous aura burst forth from Ancient City Fei’s body instantly.

”Ancient City Fei, three years ago, we attended Inheritance Day together, and I entered Azure Sky Sword Sect, while you entered Thunder Sky Sect.”

”Three years later, I’ll show you why I was the one who entered the Azure Sky Sword Sect back then!”

Yun Xing licked his lips.

Boom!

In an instant, both men’s auras erupted from their bodies.

They were both at Body Refinement Ninth Layer!

But clearly, neither Yun Xing nor Ancient City Fei were ordinary Body Refinement Ninth Layer practitioners.

They even surpassed some ordinary Yuan Condensation First Layer martial artists.

”Mid-grade Martial Arts, Violent Fist!”

Ancient City Fei let out a roar, his hands gathering massive power.

Qin Chen, sitting in the audience seat, had his pupils shrink.

”Great Perfection Realm!”

To cultivate a mid-grade Martial Arts technique to the Great Perfection Realm was no easy feat.

”Hmph!”

Yun Xing sneered and then punched out.

Bang!

The powerful Qi Force spread out, intercepted entirely by the Thunder Suppression Array, otherwise, even the surrounding seating might have been flipped over by the blast.

Yun Xing and Ancient City Fei both took several steps back.

A hint of surprise flashed through Ancient City Fei’s eyes.

”He’s lost!”

Upon seeing this scene, Mon Tianran, not far from Qin Chen, slowly shook his head.

”Why?”

Xuu Nian was puzzled.

This first exchange seemed to be evenly matched.

”Because Ancient City Fei has already brought out all his strength, while Yun Xing, only used a simple punch.”

Qin Chen also shook his head.

Hearing Qin Chen’s words, Xuu Nian looked shocked.

Looking at Ancient City Fei in the arena, he suddenly felt that Ancient City Fei was in a very pitiful state.

”Ancient City Fei, it seems that in the three years we haven’t seen each other, your strength is still as weak as ever!”

Looking at Ancient City Fei’s astonished face, Yun Xing burst into wild laughter.

Swoosh!

Suddenly, a long sword was drawn by Yun Xing.

”What’s about to happen, I’ll make you never forget it for the rest of your life!”

Yun Xing issued a sinister laugh.

”Azure Sky Sword Technique First Move, Jiao Dragon Emerges from the Sea!”

Yun Xing let out a great shout.

At the same time,

the long sword in his hand pierced out towards Ancient City Fei with a force akin to a Jiao Dragon.

Faint crimson glows flickered along his sword.

”Ancient City Fei is finished!”

Seeing this sword strike, Qin Chen’s pupils contracted.
