184 Taking Out the Tai Sui
That’s right! Nothing!

The way Chen Fan figured it, there should be a Tai Sui fairy or a beautiful girl hiding in it! Yet, the truth was always so heartbreaking!

”Oh dang!” Chen Fan was struggling to pull himself out. He then picked up the hammer, starting to slam the wall like a mad person.

”Bang!” Two minutes later, Chen Fan kicked off the heavily damaged resin wall that was located beneath his belly, then immediately squeezed himself into the interior.

But, there wasn’t anything suspicious in that fine polished, dim chamber. Next, he looked up at the dome, but also saw nothing! Then, looking around the corner, still nothing…

”Wait a second! What’s that?”

Suddenly, Chen Fan saw a spherical object, about the size of a basketball, lying at the corner of the resin wall. However, he couldn’t verify what exactly the object was, due to the poor lighting in the chamber.

Chen Fan walked towards it, then squatted down. He took out his phone to illuminate the object. He then realized that it was an unknown milky white object, which had a texture that was as soft as a baby’s skin.

”Could this be the Tai Sui?” Chen Fan recalled all kinds of photos from the internet, yet none of them seemed to look as glossy and beautiful as this one.

”Sigh. I thought you were going to be the big boy, who weighed two tons or so and could instantly regenerate, even after losing 300 pounds per day.”

Chen Fan had no choice but to pick up this little one and walk toward the second floor. As he did so, he muttered to himself, ”This is rather unexpected. I never thought you would be this small. You have even ruined my dreams of discovering a hidden cutie in here…”

This Tai Sui may have looked tiny in terms of size, but the weight of it was not light at all. Instead, the white sphere actually had a whopping weight of 20 kilograms!

Chen Fan knew that most owners of a Tai Sui would usually raise them in water. Therefore, he took a plastic bucket and placed the Tai Sui in it. He then filled the bucket with freshwater.

At this very moment, a strange scene took place…

After being left in the water for about 10 minutes, countless tiny bubbles surfaced from the skin of the Tai Sui. Numerous bubbles even ruptured out of the water, emitting a burst of fragrance.

”So, it can breathe?” Chen Fan recalled hearing of this from an old professor once. ”It’s a form of life. It can breathe, grow, and regenerate, just like animals. However, it does not have any organs. It is neither a plant nor a fourth trophic level organism. They usually live underwater or in the soil.”

Certainly, there was no air leakage inside the stone tower. As far as oxygen was concerned, the oxygen molecules in the liquids should have long depleted over the past thousands of years. Therefore, there was a possibility that it had fallen into an extended period of hibernation, then finally regained its vitality upon Chen Fan’s putting it into the oxygen-packed freshwater!

Chen Fan pulled out the black Kun Wu dagger from his back, hesitating for a moment.

Should I slice a piece off, so that I can let the electric eel have a taste of it?

The Compendium of Materia Medica claimed as such, ”Consume for a long period of time to preserve youth. This may also aid you to extend your lifespan and become a celestial being!”

Judging from the attributes listed above, it was evident that the older it gets, the higher its nutritional value becomes. As for this Tai Sui, it was probably around ten thousand years old, per Chen Fan’s calculations.

Hence, logically speaking, it should possess a monstrously high nutritional value. Thus, although one might not become a celestial being after eating it, it still might not be far-fetched to claim that the eater’s attributes would certainly multiply!

”I’m sorry, my little Tai Sui. But, the description stated that you should recover in the next day, anyway!” said Chen Fan, after making up his mind. He took out the Tai Sui from the water, then slowly pierced it with the Kun Wu dagger.

”Eh?” As soon as the Kun Wu dagger made contact with the Tai Sui’s surface, Chen Fan couldn’t help but exclaim.

The sharpness of the Kun Wu dagger was undoubtedly top-notch for its class. It could effortlessly cut through an iron sheet, just like it was a flimsy piece of paper! However, the dagger could not advance any further than 2 cm into the Tai Sui’s milky-white skin, even after Chen Fan had exerted a good amount of force and strength.

It felt as if he was trying to cut the meat with the dull backside of a knife! Not only had he failed to locate the pivot point, as the meat was everywhere when it was being cut by the back of a knife, but the knife also felt blunt at the same time. Chen Fan, who refused to accept the fact, simply sat down, pinning down the Tai Sui with his legs. He then pressed the dagger into the Tai Sui, now with all of his might.

”I’m definitely going to bring you under my control today!” Chen Fan glared at the Tai Sui. Blue veins stood out on his right arm, as he swung the Kun Wu dagger.

Not even the Tai Sui could rival the menacing weapon. Despite having an extremely tough skin. Thus, Chen Fan was able to cut off a small piece of it.

After putting the injured Tai Sui back in the water, Chen Fan ran outside. He was now prepared to feed it to the electric eel.

By now, the electric eel had grown to be gigantic, having a 90 meters long body. Its black scales and four cold, metallic claws could strike fear in the hearts of all. Even Chen Fan couldn’t stop himself from feeling a little nervous, whenever he got too close to it!

Will it cause indigestion, since the Tai Sui is so tough?

Suddenly, Chen Fan thought of a serious problem. An ordinary Tai Sui would not be this tough, so the flesh could easily be scraped off, even by one’s fingernails. On the other hand, the one Chen Fan owned was obviously an oddball. Its body was so tough, Chen Fan believed that not even pistol bullets could penetrate it! However, looking at the body of the electric eel, which was as big as a small hill, Chen Fan thought that there shouldn’t be a problem.

The piece of Tai Sui was now resting in the mouth of the electric eel, which could easily swallow up a whole cow. The eel did not even have a sense of taste at all. The electric eel’s throat twitched, swallowing the Tai Sui in a single gulp.

Back on the second floor of the stone tower, Chen Fan controlled the electric eel to swim into the water. Meanwhile, he prepared to use electromagnetic induction to quietly observe the changes in its stomach.

Two minutes passed, and the tissue of the Tai Sui had only slightly dissolved. These dissolved transparent substances directly entered the electric eel’s bloodstream.

There was no strange feeling at first, but as the Tai Sui gradually became smaller, the electric eel became increasingly energetic. Eventually, the eel’s initial sleepiness vanished completely, as if it had been injected with a stimulant. It was eager to find a place to vent its overwhelming energy!

It was the exact opposite of the feelings of laziness and comfort that had kicked in after it had consumed the ghost moon incense. At the moment, it was as if the eel had smoked a big cigarette! Half an hour later, under the powerful reaction of hydrochloric acid and protease in the stomach and intestines, the Tai Sui was broken down into countless nutrient molecules. It was then completely dissolved into the blood of the electric eel. At this point, the electric eel could evidently feel this explosive sense of energy. Its usual ability to create 39,000 volts had now increased to a voltage output of 43,000 volts!

”Roar!”

The electric eel, having significantly improved in strength and physical endurance, could no longer contain the adrenaline rush within its nerves. After it rushed out from the water and let out a loud howl, it immediately disappeared. It was about to teach those suchosauruses in the lake a lesson!

In the past, the electric eel’s ability to produce electric voltage could only last for 3 minutes. It would then require half a day to recover, after boosting up its voltage to full capacity. Now, it could boost up its voltage for five minutes! Also, it was now able to be fully charged in less than half an hour.

As such, it possessed an infinite amount of power and an endless supply of voltage. At that moment, the electric eel knew nothing about tiredness, making it similar to an engine with a full tank.

It now had two hours’ worth of unrestrained consumption of physical and electrical energy. After two whole hours, the euphoria effect on the electric eel gradually stabilized. The time taken for the accumulation of electricity was also restored to its previous capability.

After its return to the initial location, the electric eel continued to lie in the water. It was trying to see if there were any additional effects or benefits that the Tai Sui had to offer. Sadly, there was no further reaction in the electric eel’s body, even after a whole day of waiting.

”Darn! Could this be a super stimulant?” Chen Fan was filled with confusion. Judging from the effect, when monitored through electromagnetic induction, the permanent effect that the Tai Sui could offer was little to none. All it could do was to boost one’s strength temporarily, unlike the ghost moon incense, which could permanently improve one’s fitness after consumption.

How could Xiao Xue, who had consumed an extensive amount of Tai Sui-soaked solution, grow taller and taller, as if he had consumed the Gang Hong brand pig feed, without going through a short period of the euphoria effect? Chen Fan suppressed his doubts, then closed his eyes, trying to analyze the situation in his mind. There must be a reason for this...

First of all, the test results of the solution showed that it contained many beneficial elements and a great amount of Ginseng molecules. This would also mean that the Tai Sui was fed and raised with Ginseng by the ancients.

It was also likely that the ancients had consumed the Tai Sui-soaked solution instead, as there was no way that the ancients could have cut open the high-level Tai Sui with their limited technology at that time.

Were they using the Tai Sui as medicine for refining, then?

It can’t be!

Chen Fan shook his head. He thought that they might have been cultivating the Tai Sui, or worshipping the Tai Sui, as a sacred artifact. This was because a large amount of nutrients in the Ginseng had been absorbed by the Tai Sui.

Since they were too tough to be eaten, drinking the residue in the solution was the most that the ancients could do. The only probable reason to justify why the Tai Sui was still kept around, even when it couldn’t be eaten at all, was that it was worshipped as a sacred artifact.

Why did the ancients carefully raise such a creature? Chen Fan could not figure it out at all. All he knew was the fact that it functioned as a super concentrated stimulant, and that one could die after consuming such a thing.

Judging by the reaction of the electric eel, the Tai Sui definitely contained an astounding amount of nutrients. Also, the electric eel kept boosting up its voltage, even long after it had finished consuming the Tai Sui. Thus, according to the principle of conservation of energy, the electric eel would need to consume a few whales to make up for the matching of such energy loss.

However, the electric eel remained as energetic as usual, showing no sign of tiredness. It wouldn’t be hard to imagine the consequence of what would happen, should someone have eaten it, would it? In fact, it was possible that a tissue, which was smaller than the rice grain, could easily cause someone to die from extensive bleeding and muscle spasms...
