Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 1101: Attempts

Years passed, and Dawning Dusk was starting to become suspicious. They had checked up on the Lone Elder several times. By now, the Lone Elder should have already lost several levels of Karmic Luck since he was blocking them from their own territory. Yet, the Lone Elder wasnʼt leaving.

What was even worse was that his Karmic Luck hadnʼt even changed. It hadnʼt gone up nor down, which confused Dawning Dusk. This broke several established rules that dictated how Karmic Luck worked!

After 500 years, Auspicious Starsky once more tried to talk to the Lone Elder, but just like before, he didnʼt engage.

Dawning Dusk tried several more tricks to put a burden of Karmic Luck on the Lone Elder, but nothing seemed to work.

Eventually, Dawning Dusk became impatient. Even though they had been warned by Kyle about the way Immortal Earth worked, they still tried to conquer the Law Well.

As the strongest member, Auspicious Starsky entered the Law Well. He remembered the Lone Elderʼs warnings and tried to keep his feelings under control.

It worked!

Until he became careless.

For just a moment, Auspicious Starsky felt a slight feeling of danger when he didnʼt perfectly dodge one of the figuresʼ attacks. Naturally, this feeling of danger made the figures more powerful and aggressive.

If it werenʼt for the Lone Elderʼs warnings, Auspicious Starsky would have tried to fight the figures. Instead, he immediately fled while trying to reset his mindset. Luckily, the figures became weaker and more disoriented as they moved away from their Law Well.
The figures got their power from the burning Elemental Energies of the Law Well. Without immediate proximity to the Law Well, their powers dropped significantly.

When Auspicious Starsky saw the remains of the figures, he decided to investigate them. Maybe he could learn something about their composition.

After bringing the remains to Breathing Golem, he learned that the remains were simply made of Major Earth. There was nothing they could gain from them.

Auspicious Starsky traveled to the Law Well once again. This time, he failed even faster. He believed that he could keep his perception under control, but it wasnʼt that easy. Just the fact that he was trying to be more cautious already increased the power of the figures. After all, why would someone be cautious if there were no risk involved?

Several attempts were made over the next millennia, but none of them were successful. Other people also entered, but when one of their Core Elders died, Dawning Dusk banned everyone else from entering.

It was simply too dangerous.

Left with no other choice, Auspicious Starsky decided to advance into the Fusion Realm. Originally, he had planned to become a Legendary Spirit Lord, but things hadnʼt worked out. Conquering the Level Seven Law Well had been his last-ditch effort to find something that would make him special.

With his newfound power, Auspicious Starsky entered the Law Well again, and this time, things went much better. The figures became more powerful, but their increased power didnʼt scare Auspicious Starsky as much. This allowed him to remain inside the Law Well. The only issue was that he was almost constantly in a state of experiencing a very soft True Battle. Comprehending a Law in such a state was exceptionally difficult.

After all, if a Seekerʼs focus was on survival, it couldnʼt be on deciphering the workings of a Law.

ʼInteresting,ʼ Kyle thought as Black watched Auspicious Starsky fighting the figures. ʼThe way Immortal Earth is influenced is based on proximity and weight of perception. Almost the entire Law Well adapts to my perception, but the closer the figures get to this guy, the more they adapt to his perception.ʼ

Auspicious Starskyʼs presence helped Kyle comprehend the Law of Immortal Earth since he could now also see how it reacted to someone elseʼs consciousness.

Sadly, Kyle couldnʼt watch for a long time as the investigation of the Law Well was put on hold.

The reason was politics. Dawning Dusk had sat on their Law Well for a long time without entering any agreements with the World Organizations. They wanted access to the Law Well, but they also wouldnʼt recklessly enter without certain safety measures. They could put these safety measures in place, but Dawning Dusk wasnʼt willing to pay their fees.

Kyle had a massive Divine Consciousness, but it still wasnʼt big enough to encompass the entire territory of Dawning Dusk. He just saw people arriving and leaving.

Eventually, time was up.

40,000 years after Kyle had started his comprehension of Immortal Earth, he finally managed to comprehend the Law.

”There were some rough patches, but Iʼve comprehended it without issues. I thought I might need to enter a True Battle,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼSpeaking of, I havenʼt been in a battle in a long time, but my Momentum still seems to be exceptionally powerful for my Realm.ʼ

ʼAlthough, I also canʼt see how my Momentum could become even stronger. I feel... comfortable. I know what I can do and what I canʼt do. I wonder, is there some kind of hard limit to Momentum?ʼ

ʼI canʼt be entirely sure, and frankly, thereʼs no real purpose in thinking about it. It is what it is.ʼ

Black stood up and teleported away. He didnʼt announce his departure to Dawning Dusk.

Moments later, Kyleʼs other Avatar, Red, appeared in front of Black. Red had been swinging his hammer near the bottom of the world this entire time, and it was time to switch things up.

ʼI have to act like Iʼm trying to master my Imposing Law instead of comprehending Laws. I can argue that Iʼm trying to use the Immortal Elements as a way to gain insights into how life forms and consciousness behaves, which could help me in mastering my Imposing Law, but I still need to vary my methods.ʼ

After a quick nod, Red and Black went in different directions. This time, Black went deep underground. Yet, instead of swinging his hammer, he simply sat down and focused on logically unraveling the Primordial Forces.

Meanwhile, Red traveled across the world, trying to find an isolated Law Well for another Immortal Element.

Sadly, he only found a single one, and it wasnʼt even really isolated. It belonged to another Higher Continental Organization, and just like Dawning Dusk, they also hadnʼt managed to control their Law Well.

However, things werenʼt completely identical. This Law Well had once been controlled, but due to politics, the old owner had been forcefully disbanded. Yet, before the Organization had disbanded, they had destroyed all the Formation Arrays around their Law Well.

This Law Well was about Immortal Darkness, and when Red saw it, he became interested.

ʼItʼs just a dense mist of corroding Darkness Energy,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼI canʼt sense any figures inside of it that are trying to mimic life.ʼ

ʼWas this entire life thing just something Immortal Earth did?ʼ

ʼWell, no use in thinking about it. I should check it out.ʼ
