Chapter 599 Essences

Kyle started with the Essence of Yin-Fire.

Yin-Fire didnʼt feel as complex as Yin-Wind or Yin-Metal since it was just cold fire.

ʼAlright, Iʼve never done this, but I know how it should work theoretically.ʼ

Kyle summoned some Yin-Fire and looked at it.

The next moment, it started to distort.

In order to extract an Essence, one essentially had to dismantle oneʼs Law, which wasnʼt easy.

ʼLaws work by manipulating Energy by using a certain principle. You canʼt just make Energy out of nothing. What I have to do is to completely decouple the concepts from the Energy, which sounds easier than it is.ʼ

Kyle had to make it so that the concepts of Yin-Fire existed without affecting the Energy around them.

In a way, this meant Kyle had to understand Yin-Fire even better than he already did.

He had to re-engineer it without all the parts that included affecting Energy.

Since he already knew the Law of Yin-Fire, he knew which concepts affected the Energy around them, but keeping these parts out would simply cripple his Law of Yin-Fire.

It still had to work.

For an unknown period of time, Kyle just tried to get the Essence out.

He experimented with Yin-Fire again and again, creating strange things.

Sometimes, the Yin-Fire fizzled out.

Sometimes, it turned solid.

Sometimes, it turned hot.

Sometimes, it turned into Wind Energy.

Luckily, he was making steady progress, and he managed to include more and more concepts in his new Yin-Fire.

Extracting an Essence wasnʼt that hard. It just needed a bit of time and practice.

The hard parts were the Fusion and Infusion.

More time passed, and finally, Kyle looked at a floating blue orb.

When he saw it, he couldnʼt suppress a smile.

ʼGot it!ʼ he thought with excitement.

The blue orb was floating around like a mirage.

It wasnʼt hot or cold.

It wasnʼt solid or ethereal.

It didnʼt use any Energy.

In fact, if someone else were present, they wouldnʼt even be able to perceive it.

It was completely imperceptible.

Kyle could only see it because he knew where his concepts were.

It was like being able to tell where oneʼs arm was without looking at it.

He just knew where it was.

As Kyle looked at the blue orb, he held out his left hand.

He tried to summon some Yin-Fire.

The Energy gathered around his left hand, but nothing appeared.

ʼMy concepts of Yin-Fire have been decoupled,ʼ he thought. ʼAs long as the Essence exists, it canʼt create Yin-Fire. ʼ

Kyle had lost access to his Yin-Fire.

As long as the Essence was outside the Law, Kyle had no power over the Law.

It was like having an arm and knowing how to move it, but not having access to nerves.

It simply didnʼt work.

Kyle dispersed the Essence, and immediately after, Yin-Fire appeared on his left hand.

ʼLuckily, I can just disperse it and regain access to my Law of Yin-Fire.ʼ

The next moment, Kyle focused again, and over the next couple of minutes, the Essence of Yin-Fire reappeared.

He dispersed it and recreated it again.

And again.

He repeated this until he could summon and disperse the Essence in an instant.

ʼThis will make it easier in the future.ʼ

After looking at the Essence for a bit, he looked at his emblem.

He wanted to know how long that had taken him.

ʼAbout ten years. Well, itʼs the first time Iʼve done this. The next two should be faster.ʼ

The next moment, Kyle dispersed his Yin-Fire Essence and thought about his Law of Yin-Metal.

This one would be next.

Since he had already accumulated some experience in decoupling Essences, this one was quite a bit faster.

It only took him five years to create the Essence of Yin-Metal.

After condensing his Essence of Yin-Metal, Kyle looked at it.

It was just a bright grey ball floating in front of him.

The next moment, Kyle summoned his Essence of Yin-Fire and looked at them together.

One blue ball and one light-grey ball.

All the characteristics of Yin-Fire and Yin-Metal were in those two balls.

If he wanted to, he could Infuse his Law of Body with one of them, and he would have created another Complex Level 2.5 Law, essentially making him a Fulfilled Transcendent again.

ʼActually, thatʼs not such a bad idea,ʼ Kyle thought. ʼI need to practice how to Infuse my Law of Body with Essences anyway. Getting some practice would help me in the long run.ʼ

ʼBut first, letʼs get the entire trio.ʼ

Kyle dispersed the Essences and focused on Yin-Wind.

Creating the Essence of Yin-Wind just took a couple of years.

The Essence of Yin-Wind was a dark grey with a greenish hue.

ʼWhich one should I try?ʼ he thought. ʼThey all have different characteristics, and they will all increase my power drastically.ʼ

ʼHmmm…ʼ

ʼYin-Wind seems the most logical. Itʼs fast, heavy, and destabilizes Energy. Seems to fit me rather well.ʼ

ʼYin-Metal could also be fun. It probably allows my body to transform physical power into ethereal powers. Imagine punching somebody, and an explosion of cuts turns them into pieces.ʼ

ʼOr,ʼ he thought as he looked at the blue Essence. ʼYin-Fire also seems fun. Although I donʼt think itʼs as useful as the other two. Like, what does it do? Make my enemies cool? I want to be the cool one, not them!ʼ

ʼKnow what? I think Iʼm going to take Yin-Fire. I just want to see what it looks like.ʼ

Kyle dispersed the other two Essences and pulled the Yin-Fire Essence closer.

Next, he pulled the Yin-Fire Essence into his body.

And then…

Nothing.

Now it was inside his body, not doing anything.

It was just there.

Kyle pulled off one strand of the Essence and pushed it into his right humerus. If something funny happened, at least it would happen to the right bone.

CRK!

His humerus froze in an instant.

Then, it broke into pieces, which were all pulled into a tiny part of his arm.

At the same time, his entire right arm started to distort and freeze.

Kyle frowned.

”Owie.”
