Strongest Abandoned Son

Even if Ye Mo could see her at that moment, he might not realize that the girl was Nie Shuangshuang. She no longer had the seductive and feeble look she had in Beijing. Instead, she had her hair tied in a braid and looked like a village girl. She no longer had that bleak and killing temperament - instead, she had a spiritual-like temperament similar to truth cultivators’.

A few years ago, she had gone to Nan Jiang, but she hadn’t been able to find Ye Mo. However, she found a spirit well and she settled near there. If Ye Mo had been there, he would have seen that Nie Shuangshuang was at chi gathering peak.

The past few years of using the spirit well to cultivate had made her face stay the same, or perhaps look even younger.

In a short period of five years, she had gone from stage four to peak, showing how powerful her talent was. Perhaps she would have gotten to foundation establishment state peak if she had had someone to teach her the foundation establishment state cultivation method.

Nie Shuangshuang saw the explosion and immediately made her way over there. She had been living in the mountains for many years and knew it was the Wan Qu Mountain. Even the Miao Jiang people rarely went in so deep into the mountain - why were there explosions?

She arrived at where Ye Mo was in a very short time and saw the collapsed cave.

Nie Shuangshuang scanned her spirit sense in. Although her spirit sense wasn’t as powerful as Ye Mo’s, it was still nearly 5 kilometers long.

She didn’t see anything until she reached her spirit sense underground and saw an unconscious Ye Mo.

Her face changed drastically. Although she hadn’t seen him for more than ten years, she recognized Ye Mo immediately.

Although Nie Shuangshuang knew that Ye Mo didn’t really like her and looked down on her, she had never forgotten Ye Mo. Moreover, for Ye Mo, she had left 9 Moon Sect at all costs.

At the start, she was attracted to Ye Mo’s fresh and clean chi. Then, Ye Mo saved her life twice and she could never forget him again. She knew that he had saved her at the Yan River. Other than Ye Mo, she had no friends at all.

Despite Ye Mo just having fed her a pill and leaving her by herself, she wasn’t unhappy at all. She was very grateful that Ye Mo had used a precious pill to save her.

When the Nine Moon Sect was laid to waste, she didn’t see who saved her either, but she knew it had been Ye Mo. Nie Pi wouldn’t have been good enough to leave her the Nine Moon Evergreen Chant and her life.

Other than Ye Mo, who would do that?

When she got the chant, she immediately found a place to cultivate. It was very hard to start. However, due to her talent, she felt chi on the first day and went into chi gathering middle stage after a few years, without anyone teaching her anything on this spirit chi deprived Earth.

After she found out Ye Mo was missing, she went around looking for him. She had been to Luo Yue countless times. Then, she went to Nan Jiang, found a spirit well there and cultivated to chi gathering peak.

When she saw Ye Mo, without hesitation she put down her herb basket and started digging through the collapsed rocks with a curved sword.

It was very easy for her and soon, she got to where Ye Mo was.

Immediately, she felt a bone-piercing coldness and couldn’t help to shiver.

Ye Mo was covered in ice - even his hair was white. His lips were purple. Nie Shuangshuang immediately could tell that Ye Mo was about to die. The threat seemed to be the two huge eggs in the center of his hand.

She held Ye Mo’s wrist and started sending cultivation essence into Ye Mo’s body. Ye Mo immediately felt his hand get warmer, but he realized things weren’t good.

”Get out quickly!” Ye Mo yelled at Nie Shuangshuang.

Nie Shuangshuang was dazed. She thought Ye Mo was cultivating something and instead she had disturbed him.

But the next moment, Nie Shuangshuang’s face changed. She found out that not only had she not pushed the egg away, but she was also stuck in peril. Her cultivation essence also flowed into the egg.

Ye Mo looked at Nie Shuangshuang and sighed, ”It’s over.”

”Brother Ye, what is this thing? Why is it sucking my inner qi?” Nie Shuangshuang asked in shock.

”Sorry, Nie Shuangshuang, I got you into this.” Ye Mo realized that if even he couldn’t get away from this, much less Nie Shuangshuang. He could tell that Nie Shuangshuang was at chi gathering peak, but her cultivation essence was far from as powerful as his.

To be honest, it couldn’t even be called cultivation essence. It was at most cultivation chi. She would have to reach foundation establishment state before she could turn it into cultivation essence. After all, not every cultivation method was the Three Birth Chant.

”Brother Ye, why are you here?” Nie Shuangshuang calmed down. She knew she was in the same peril as Ye Mo.

Ye Mo spat out the ice near his mouth and said, ”I went to bar in Beijing to find you and the people said you weren’t there, so I came to Nan Jiang. I happened to have some business to do here and I was planning to look for you afterwards. But now, you found me instead and you’re also at chi gathering peak. Sigh-”

”Brother Ye, you really went looking for me?” Nie Shuangshuang had sparkles in her eyes after hearing this. It was as though it was the happiest thing for her that Ye Mo had gone looking for her.

”En. But Nie Shuangshuang, how did you reach chi gathering peak?”

Nie Shuangshuang’s lips were turning purple in such a short time but she didn’t seem to realize the danger she was is. She said happily, ”Brother Ye, just call me Shuangshuang. I went to look for you to Nan Jiang and I found a well that can allow me to cultivate very fast. So I’ve been cultivating there.”

”A spirit well?” Ye Mo said in shock. There really was spirit well on that planet? But when he remembered their predicament, Ye Mo got dejected. There was nothing he could do.

Seeing this, Nie Shuangshuang quickly said, ”Brother Ye, don’t feel guilty! You’ve saved me a few times, yet this time I wasn’t able to save you. I’m very happy that I can even help you a little bit.”

If Nie Shuangshuang hadn’t been there, he wouldn’t have even been able to talk. But then he immediately realized that he had never told her he had saved her twice. How did she know?

”How do you know I saved you?” Ye Mo asked at once.

Nie Shuangshuang smiled, ”Because I’ve been very lonely in the past and I had no friends. You were my only friend. Other than you, no one would save me,” Nie Shuangshuang said shivering.

Friend? Ye Mo felt bad. In Nie Shuangshuang’s heart, he was her only friend, yet he had never thought of her as a friend.
