Stealing Spree

Chapter 2930: Slipped

Mitsui Kyoka. While my interest in her was only a little, the ’work’ and ’payment’ she would hand out to me was truly substantial. I couldn’t simply turn her down when she proactively messaged me.

The empire that Mizuki and I would found in the future certainly needed the capital. My silver tongue alone wouldn’t be enough. Besides, how could I just lie down and let my girls support me? That’s inconceivable.

To truly achieve our dream, being a normal high school student or someone who just graduated high school wasn’t enough. I needed leverage, connections, and a level of financial independence that would allow me to solidify our standing in the future.

And this woman... is like a heaven-sent opportunity. As long as I finished her task, I’d receive a reward that could change an ordinary person’s life.

Anyway, looking at how Futaba was still fumbling in the kitchen, I replied to Mitsui Kyoka’s message, adopting a tone of professional curiosity. *“I’m always free for a chat with you, Mitsui-san. Is there something urgent?”

The reply came almost instantly. “Not exactly urgent. However... I need to clear things up with you.”

”Then please, I’m listening,” I typed back, glancing over my shoulder to see Futaba finally emerging from the kitchen with two glasses of water.

The girl handed me a glass of cold water, her fingers brushing against mine for a split second.

The contact was brief, but the reaction was instantaneous. Her hand jerked back as if she had touched a hot stove. She stood there, staring at the floor, her chest heaving slightly. The water in the glass was still, but the tension in the room was vibrating.

”Thank you,” I said, taking a sip. I didn’t look away from her. ”The water is great, but I think you’re the one who needs it. Here.”

I brought the glass to her lips, tilting it slightly so she could take a sip.

Futaba blinked, not expecting the sudden gesture.

She hesitated for a heartbeat, then leaned forward, her lips meeting the rim of the glass. As she drank, her eyes remained locked on mine, the water acting as a brief, cooling respite from the heat radiating between us. When she pulled away, a single drop of water lingered on her lower lip.

”See? Much better,” I murmured, setting the glass on the coffee table with a soft thud before reaching to wipe the stray drop of water from her lip with my thumb. ”Tell me, have I fed you enough sweets tonight? Has your special constitution been triggered?”

Perhaps only remembering that now, her lips twitched for a bit before a frown formed on her face, ”R-right! You... Those donuts... They’re filled with sugar. Ugh. I ate two but Eri... that girl handed out another two. And I couldn’t resist it!”

”Oh... So, four is enough to trigger it? Got it.”

Last time, she didn’t reach the limits of her sugar intake but it still made her chest firmer and perkier. This time was probably even more exaggerated.

”Listen to me, Onoda-kun! You shouldn’t...”

”Shouldn’t what? I brought it home for dessert. While I did say I’d keep feeding you sugary foods, I didn’t tell you to eat donuts today, no?” My lips curved up to a smirk.

Futaba’s face burned a vivid red. She looked like she wanted to argue, to explain that she hadn’t intended to eat that many. Alas, she also couldn’t deny how much she loved eating sweets. If it’s presented in front of her, only a little coaxing is enough for her restraint to crumble.

”Alright. I’ll stop teasing you.” I said as I tugged at her arm, pulling her down beside me on the sofa.

She was trying so hard to act like a proper hostess that it was almost endearing but the desire in her eyes seemed to be on the verge of overflowing.

No matter how careful or sensible she appeared, she couldn’t hide it. The anticipation of feeling the same pleasure as before.

Then, my phone buzzed again.

“Actually, it’s better if we talk over the phone. Do you have a moment now?”

This... With Futaba standing close to me, she naturally saw the screen. I could tell she was curious about who was messaging me this late, especially since my focus had momentarily shifted away from her.

”Who is it?” Futaba asked, her brows curling up slightly. Not because she was upset but because she was worried it was Akane or Fuyu.

”Someone who commissioned me to do some work,” I replied, glancing at the screen. ”I might need to take this call, Futaba.”

I could see the slight tension in her shoulders relax. But only for a moment. The girl plopped down to my side and took a deep breath, another attempt to calm her boiling anticipation down.

”I see. Then... I shouldn’t disturb you. I’ll change first.”

Futaba tried to stand up, but my hand caught her wrist. ”Wait a second.”

The moment my skin met hers, she gasped. Her hypersensitivity was already in effect. A simple touch from me acted like a catalyst, sparking a reaction that seemed to bypass her brain and go straight to her nerves.

She looked at me, her eyes wide and shimmering, while the air around us grew thick with a heavy, expectant heat.

”W-what is it?” Futaba stammered, her gaze locked onto my hand. The way she trembled under my grip wasn’t out of fear, but a frantic, electric anticipation. She looked like she was vibrating from the inside out, her resolve crumbling with every second we remained in this proximity.

”Let me check on you first.”

”Eh?”

Amidst her confusion, my hand moved from her wrist to her waist, hooking her close enough that our shoulders touched.

She flinched for a moment but the tension in her body didn’t push her away. Instead, she melted almost instantly. Her head tilted back as she let out a soft, broken sound.

I could feel the rapid thumping of her heart against my side. It was as if it would burst right through her chest even though we hadn’t truly done something intimate yet.

Somehow, her special constitution seemed to be more active tonight than the last time. Maybe it was the residual tension from the bus ride, or perhaps the way Eri had casually teased her about the ’lesson’ in front of me. Whatever the cause, Futaba was currently a live wire, and she might collapse right away later if I didn’t handle her carefully.

”You’re a little more sensitive today, Futaba. Tell me. Is it always like this since the last time?” I asked, my voice laced with concern.

Futaba’s eyes started to become hazy. This over-the-clothes contact was already enough to make her legs tremble.

This is bad. If she’s already like this, my inhibitions might truly break down and crossing some lines would be the least of what might happen.

”I... don’t know. Maybe it’s because of the sugar. I wasn’t like this this morning,” Futaba’s voice was a little strained as if she were speaking through a tight throat.

I see. That might truly be the case. No matter what, her body’s hormones were reacting far more aggressively than usual. It was as if that first session weeks ago had left a latent imprint on her nervous system, and now that the desire had peaked, her body was simply waiting for the trigger to explode.

Her special constitution had not forgotten about the sensation back then. It had merely been hibernating, waiting for the next time.

”Alright. I think it’ll be better if you take a bath first too. Don’t worry, I won’t peek. I’m a pervert but not that kind of pervert,” I joked, finally releasing my grip on her waist.

The sudden loss of contact left Futaba blinking, her eyes slowly refocusing. She looked like someone who had just been woken up from a vivid dream, only to realize she was still in the middle of the nightmare. Or in her case, the most delicious kind of torture.

She nodded dumbly as her movements turned a little robotic, standing up and shuffling toward the hallway.

”O-okay. Go and take your call...”

I nodded and watched her climb the stairs, disappearing into the depths of the second floor.

The moment she was out of sight, I shifted my focus back to the phone in my hand. Mitsui Kyoka wasn’t the type to reach out without a specific purpose, but whatever she wanted to clarify, I guess I had no choice but to hear her out.

Instead of replying, I took the initiative to call her. However, instead of a normal call, my thumb somehow ended up pressing the video call.

I thought of cancelling it at first but after it rang at least three times, the screen finally flickered to life.

Mitsui Kyoka appeared, though she wasn’t in her usual professional attire. She was lounging on her bed, wearing a loose-fitting silk robe that slipped slightly off one shoulder, her hair tossed in a way that suggested she had just finished a warm bath.

Somehow, I couldn’t connect this image of her with that woman who clashed with Mizuki during the business dinner.

What can I say? No wonder Hassen is obsessed with this ’older cousin’ of his.

”My, my, a video call? You’re bolder than you look, Onoda-kun. Hasegawa never told me you’d be this forward.”
