Stealing Spree

Chapter 2778: Seal it with a kiss

“Hmm, really?” I playfully said, acting a little skeptical.

Setsuna-nee rolled her eyes and clicked her tongue. “At least get a little excited from it, shameless brat.”

“How can I get excited when I haven’t heard what you planned yet? That’ll be celebrating too early.”

Her mouth turned into a ‘o’ shape before smirking, “Psh. It’s something simple. And not demanding at all. Just... a day at the beach. Or hiking. Somewhere quiet. Away from everyone.”

“I want to see if you can still be this obedient when we have all the time in the world. Or if you will eventually long for the other girls like Satsu-chan or Juri.”

Heh... Sounds like she really thought about it a lot. But at the same time, that sounded like an admission. That she had truly fallen for me, or at least, she couldn’t ignore the fact that I occupied a part of her now.

I smiled and nodded before pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head without thinking. “Beach or hiking. Got it. Your pick, Setsuna-nee-san. I’ll even let you boss me around the whole day.”

“Don’t tempt me. I’ll make you carry all the water and snacks.”

“No problem. As long as you hold my hand when no one’s looking.”

Setsuna-nee went still again, then muttered something that sounded suspiciously like ‘shameless’ before burying her face in my chest again.

But I wasn’t done yet. Leaning down close to her ears, I whispered, “So, shall we seal that with a kiss?”

Her fingers tightened just enough to pull the fabric taut across my chest. I could feel her heartbeat thudding fast against my ribs, quick and unsteady like a bird trapped in a cage.

For a long second, she neither moved nor spoke. She simply stayed there with her face buried in my neck, warm breath ghosting over my skin in shaky little puffs.

Then, slowly, she tilted her head up. Those sharp eyes met mine. However, the flush creeping down her neck and the way her lower lip caught between her teeth gave her away completely.

“Seal it with a kiss?” She echoed like she hadn’t understood what that meant, “You’re really pushing your luck, shameless brat.”

”Am I? I guess I am... I’m quite greedy, after all.”

”Don’t just admit to it, idiot. And why are you going for a kiss right away? There are proper steps for that!”

Setsuna-nee lightly drummed my chest as she balled her hands into a fist.

That’s adorable of her, no?

“Proper steps?” I teasingly asked as I pulled her even closer, enough that whatever remaining distance we had earlier had basically vanished. Her chest was squeezed tight between us, and our legs entwined like twigs, rubbing against each other lightly. “Like what? Holding hands first? A hug? Or do you want me to ask permission like a good little brat?”

She grumbled as her drumming quickened its pace. It was as if she were a ticking time bomb and was already close to exploding if I teased her further.

“Shut up,” She muttered, ears burning brighter. “You know what I mean. You can’t just... jump to kissing. It’s not... normal.”

“Normal? Nothing about us is normal, Setsuna-nee-san. I’m your little sister’s boyfriend, your best friend’s man. And yet, you’re curled up on me after throwing pillows and calling me a shameless bastard. That’s already way past normal.”

“Whose fault do you think that is? It’s yours, you shameless bastard. Why can’t you stop running in my head?” Setsuna-nee’s voice came out muffled against my chest, but the frustration in it was crystal clear. Like she’d been fighting that question for weeks and despite already knowing the answer, she was still refusing to accept it.

I chuckled, not because she’s laughable, but because of how lovely she was at the moment.

My hand slid up her back, fingers threading gently through her hair until I could tilt her head back.

Those sharp, stormy eyes were glaring up at me again, but the heat in them wasn’t just anger anymore. It was something softer with a hint of affection. And it’s making my pulse race harder.

Could I still hold back from stealing her from Sakuma? But then again, she wasn’t his to begin with. I had already given him all the help I could, and yet, this woman still became too entangled with me.

This is why I will always be a bastard when it comes to men. I won’t be able to have a normal friendship like that when I have this greedy streak of taking women for myself.

“Because you let me in, Setsuna-nee,” I whispered as I brushed my thumb across her cheek. “How would I be able to run in your head if you didn’t open the door to it? Now, I’ve become too greedy to step out.”

“Greedy and shameless brat,” She exhaled, more in helplessness than in frustration.

Her fingers uncurled from my shirt, then her arm slid past my underarm before hooking around my nape and resting her hand there like she needed the contact but didn’t know what to do with it.

“Mhm. Now you finally know how dangerous I am. Are you still not going to kick me out, Setsuna-nee?” I leaned in until our foreheads touched.

We could now smell each other’s breath and it was thoroughly affecting our senses.

“But you’re not exactly kicking me out of your head anyway. If you really wanted me gone, you’d have thrown more than pillows by now. Or not allow me to hold you intimately like this.”

She made this tiny, frustrated sound in the back of her throat, eyes fluttering shut for a second like she couldn’t handle looking at me while I kept unraveling her.

“S-shut up.”

“Should I take that as my permission?”

Setsuna-nee’s fingers tightened at the nape of my neck like she was holding on for dear life. Those sharp eyes opened again, which appeared stormy and conflicted, but the way her lips parted told me everything her words wouldn’t.

She didn’t push me away. Didn’t snap at me to stop. Just stared, cheeks burning crimson, body pressed so close I could feel every shaky inhale against my chest.

“Idiot...” She whispered with a barely audible volume but laced with frustration and need. “You’re really... going to make me say it?”

“Mhm. I want to hear it from you, Setsuna-nee-san. I promised to be obedient this time, no?” I replied as my thumb brushed her lower lip and felt it tremble. “So, tell me what you want.”

Her eyes fluttered shut again, lashes brushing her cheeks as she let out this tiny, defeated sigh. When they opened, the glare was gone. Replaced by a smoldering gaze that radiated her unguarded want that made me lose all my reason.

“...Kiss me, shameless brat,” She commanded in a sultry tone like I had just flipped her switch. “Before I change my mind and actually kick you out.”

Mhm. There should be no hesitation now.

I closed the distance between our faces slowly, giving her one last chance to pull away.

And yet she didn’t. If anything, her fingers tightened in my hair, tugging me closer like she was afraid this was all a tease and I would stop at the last second.

But then, as soon as our lips met, she let out this soft exhale. Like she felt relief that I wasn’t just teasing her and at the same time, frustration that we truly crossed this line.

Pressed together at first, Setsuna-nee hesitantly moved her lips and I followed through by matching her movements. This way, we were perfectly in sync as the hesitation gradually peeled away.

Then Setsuna-nee made this tiny, needy sound in the back of her throat and pressed harder, parting her lips to let me in.

I slipped my tongue in, searching for hers.

Her tongue slid against mine, demanding despite the flush burning down her neck.

She tasted faintly of the lemon cheesecake she’d stolen bites of earlier. I guess she liked that, huh? Satsuki would probably scold me if I told her about this... but this was something that shouldn’t be told in detail anyway.

I rolled us gently until she was on her back, my weight braced on my forearms so I wouldn’t crush her.

Setsuna-nee’s legs parted instinctively, letting me settle between them as her thighs squeezed my hips like she needed the pressure.

Her hands slid down my back as she seemed to pull me back to her. To feel me so close to her.

“Ruki...” She gasped when we broke for air, eyes half-lidded and glassy. She even called me by my name instead of her usual ‘shameless brat’. “You’re... really doing this.”

“This is what we both want, Setsuna-nee-san. So, do you think I’ve made it up to you for earlier?”

As soon as I said that, the girl furrowed her brows as if remembering what I did with Juri in the same bed.

“No... You haven’t made it yet. Carry me to my bed.”

Setsuna-nee’s words hung in the air like a challenge, her stormy eyes locked on mine with that mix of defiance and a hint of jealousy that she couldn’t hide anymore.

Well, this is good too. It would be bad if Juri returned and caught us like this on her bed, right?
