Stealing Spree

Chapter 2477: Special Consultant (1)

After getting showered with kisses and groped by both girls, they released me from their grasp, satisfied.

”Let’s save the best for later, shameless guy. We’re going to face people, it won’t be good if we all smell of that lewd scent.” Maaya said as she straightened the crease from her shoulder.

Himeko, on the other hand, grabbed my tie and fixed it before leaving another kiss on my cheek.

In any case, our lips were already close to being sore and my neck was red in some places from Himeko’s enthusiastic kisses. But I wasn’t complaining. How can I when that’s my girl expressing her affection for me?

”Mhm. You’re my bosses today. What should I do?” I said as I stood up from the sofa, straightening my own clothes. The scent of their perfume lingered on me. It was a delightful mix of vanilla and something floral that was uniquely theirs.

Maaya smirked at my question, ”You can start by reading this.”

She handed me a clipboard with a stack of papers attached to it. ”These are the reports from the different departments. I highlighted the important ones that we’d be visiting today to see what they’re doing or if they need anything.”

Himeko giggled, ”And don’t worry, Ruki. We’re not going to throw you into the deep end without floaties. Ya-chan also helped me understand this work. Tell us if you’re confused about anything.”

She grabbed a fountain pen from the desk and handed it to me.

I guess they want to hear my opinion too. They know that I’m studying business theories with Mizuki, after all.

Let’s see if I can use some of my acquired knowledge after weeks of studying with Mizuki. I took the clipboard and pen from her, giving it a nod. ”Alright, I’ll do my best to not slow you down.”

We started with the front desk, where the girls introduced me as their ’special consultant’. The employees looked at me with curiosity and respect. They’d seen me when I arrived earlier, after all.

In any case, it’s easy to see that the Itou Sisters were well-loved in their hotel. They were professional and yet, they had this aura that could make anyone feel welcome.

That’s also what I felt before when Akane and I ran into Maaya back then.

We moved from the front desk to the dining area where the kitchen was bustling with activity. The smell of various dishes wafted through the air, making my stomach growl. They’re so busy that Maaya and Himeko didn’t step inside or they might disturb their flow. They talked to the head chef through the kitchen window, asking about their concerns.

Because of the rain outside, most guests chose not to leave the hotel, which meant more foot traffic in the restaurant. The head chef was a lady with a stern look and a sharp tongue, but her eyes lit up when she saw the Itou Sisters. She complained about a recent influx of dietary restrictions and special requests that had the kitchen staff sweating bullets.

Maaya took the lead but she handed me the baton. ”I see. What do you think, Ruki?”

I took a moment to scan the kitchen, then said, ”How about setting up a special menu section for guests with dietary restrictions? That way, the chef doesn’t have to improvise all the time. Requests on an already established menu should be easier to manage.”

The head chef nodded thoughtfully, ”That’s a good idea. We’ve been trying to accommodate everyone, but sometimes it’s a bit hectic. By the way, who is this young man, my lady?”

”This is our special consultant, Ruki. He’s here to help us out and give us his insight.” Maaya smirked at me. She’s really amused to introduce me as such.

Himeko also pitched in, ”And he’s really good at understanding people, so he can help us figure out what the guests would like!”

Upon saying that, the girl hugged my arm, making the head chef’s gaze linger on us a bit longer than necessary. For sure, she picked up that I’m not just a ’special consultant’.

”I see, I’ll take that into consideration.” She said before turning back to her staff, barking orders to keep the kitchen running.

After that successful suggestion, we moved away from the kitchen area.

”Alright, Ruki. The next stop is the housekeeping. Let’s see if your ideas can help us maintain this hotel’s rating.” Maaya said as she grabbed my hand as we strolled to our next destination.

The moment we stepped into the hallways, a few maids passed by, whispering to each other while stealing glances at us. They’re the ones responsible for keeping each room orderly before and after a guest checks in.

The Itou Sisters truly had a great reputation since they’re not just simply the owner’s daughters, they’re also bosses now that they’re managing the hotel a few days a week. At this moment, my presence with them was definitely turning heads.

I was wondering when we would encounter those who were answering their father’s calls and reporting back about our every move.

I kept checking our surroundings but I had yet to see someone acting furtively or obviously spying on us. Maybe their old man had gone easy on his spies today. Or maybe, they’re just good at their jobs. Either way, Maaya and Himeko seemed to be unbothered by it. Their confidence in me was naturally high as if I could convince their father easily by showing how capable I was.

Of course, assisting them was just one thing, he’s probably going to belittle me as some kind of leech who only has a face to boast about.

I don’t know. I feel like these girls had something hidden in surprise for me. Something that would knock the socks off their father and leave him speechless.

The housekeeping department was next, and the moment we walked in, the head maid, a kind-looking woman in her 50’s, immediately bowed to the sisters.

”Welcome, Itou-sama.” She greeted them with a smile.

Maaya took the lead again, ”This is Ruki, our special consultant. He’s here to help us assess how we can improve our service.”

So, she’s now sticking with the special consultant. This girl... I should demand some bonus later when we’re done going around.

The head maid nodded, her smile never faltering even though she was clearly confused. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ruki-san. If you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to speak your mind. You can address me as Kobayashi.” Experience more tales on

Maaya looked at me expectantly, so I took a deep breath and started with a respectful nod before recalling the material Maaya handed me earlier. I still have the clipboard in my hands so I could check it at any time.

”Kobayashi-san, I know you’re busy so we won’t take much of your time, please enlighten us about the current concerns of the department. I’m sure there’s always room for improvement.” I said, trying to sound as professional as possible without raising the concerns they listed myself. In this kind of situation, it’s always best to hear it from the horse’s mouth. After all, they’re the expert on it.
