Stealing Spree

Chapter 2312: What about me?

Miura-senpaiʼs response was a shrug before saying, ”Itʼs fine. We finished our activity for today. Isnʼt that why Maaya-chan can come here early? By the way, are you worried about me, Onoda-kun?”

This girl, sheʼs really trying so hard to close our distance. But Iʼm not complaining. Iʼm enjoying the little interactions weʼre having here and there. And like I said before, sheʼs so sensible, she wonʼt step out of line unless I initiate something first.

”Yeah. Iʼm worried about you, senpai. You know, youʼre one of the seniors I look up to.” I playfully answered, giving her a wink.

Maaya elbowed me on the stomach, ”Ruki, stop flirting with another girl when youʼre holding me!”

Though she said that, the girl still laughed at my remark, her elbow not carrying much force. Sagara-senpai was the one who had to cover her mouth, trying to stifle her laughter. She had a stoic personality, so seeing her react this way was surprisingly charming. Sheʼs probably the type to keep on a cool facade but secretly enjoying the chaos.

Anyway, the four of us continued to banter like this. They continued with the game but even when Maaya asked me to join them, I reasoned out that I like it better to watch while holding her.

Maayaʼs protests got weaker as the minutes ticked by. However, the other two kept glancing at us, either uncomfortable at our open flirting or just amused at how different Maaya acted around me.

Obviously, I tried to balance the atmosphere, keeping it light and casual.

I know. Shizu and the others in the Student Council should be waiting for my return but I promised Misaki so... until we finished our rehearsal, Iʼd stay for a while. Too bad though. If Maaya and I are alone, I doubt weʼll be able to hold ourselves back from being more intimate than just this.

But for now, Iʼm content with holding her, feeling her warmth, and listening to the giggles of the two seniors as they interacted with us. Itʼs a weird mix but somehow itʼs still relaxing. The fatigue I accumulated from weeding outside was washed away by their company.

After playing for a few rounds, Miura-senpai and Sagara-senpai finally decided to leave. ”Okay, Maaya-chan, Onoda-kun. We wonʼt disturb you anymore. Thanks for accommodating us. Next time weʼll bring our games hehe.”

”Thanks for the tea, flirty junior. My eyes have been opened.” Sagara-senpai said without showing so much as a small smile before following Miura-senpai, leaving us alone again.

Maaya looked up at me, her cheeks still tinted a light shade of pink. ”I canʼt believe you called her ʼflirty senpaiʼ.”

”When did I say that?”

”Earlier! Isnʼt that why sheʼs calling you flirty junior now?!” Maaya poked my side while pouting.

Well, I did say something like that earlier. When I served them a drink earlier, that girl also tried teasing Maaya by copying what Miura-senpai did, pulling me down and slotting herself into my embrace.

”Alright. Iʼm guilty, your honor. Do as you see fit.” I raised my arms in surrender.

”Come here then... I have a lot of complaints and youʼre going to satisfy that,” Maaya glared at me as she pulled me by my collar, bringing me upstairs with her.

”Complaints?” I feigned ignorance, following her lead, my hands sliding down to her waist. Although that made her flinch, she didnʼt resist it.

Once we reached the upper floor, she turned to face me, her eyes half-lidded with her desire barely hidden. ”Donʼt play dumb, Onoda-kun. You know exactly what I mean. You dare flirt with someone not part of our complex relationship. Iʼm complaining on behalf of the other girls and Nee-sama.”

Or so she said that but clearly, she didnʼt really mind that. She just needed something to use to mask her growing desires. And I knew just how to play along.

”I see. So, is that the excuse you want to use?” I leaned down, whispering in her ear as I nibbled on her earlobe. ”To get more intimate with me?”

Maayaʼs cheeks instantly turned crimson as she pushed me away albeit weakly.

”T-thatʼs not what I meant!” She stuttered as she tried to maintain her composure. But the more I nibble her earlobe, the more reaction I get out of her.

”Well, if it isnʼt, then I apologize. But if it is...” I trailed my voice there as I lifted her chin, her lips voluntarily parting for me. Our kiss was tender, a silent apology and promise rolled into

The warmth of her breath danced with mine. I could smell the fragrance of the tea I made for them downstairs, a sweet floral scent that lingered on her lips as our kiss grew deeper. Maayaʼs hands found their way around my neck, her slender fingers slipping through my hair as she pulled me closer.

As we savored the taste of each otherʼs lips and tongues, her affection and desire were fully conveyed to me. It was as if she was apologizing for her earlier jealousy, and I was reassuring her that she had nothing to worry about.

Can she be more adorable?

”Haa... Youʼre bad for our heart, shameless guy. How come itʼs always comforting when you kiss me like that?” Maaya mumbled against my lips, her voice laced with both annoyance and

affection.

”Isnʼt it because you know Iʼm the only one who can tame your fiery spirit, Maaya?” I

chuckled, pecking her on the forehead before pulling back slightly.

”What fiery spirit?! Ugh. I should complain about you to Nee-sama.”

”Do you do that every time youʼre alone?”

”Yeah! And she... she always laughs at me while defending you. Ugh... Itʼs frustrating.” Maaya pretended to be upset, but it was pretty clear that she was also enjoying that moment with

Himeko.

At this point, the effect of their father separating them from each other had already disappeared. Even if sheʼs still poised to be the heir to their business, she will probably not take that position if Himeko wonʼt be by her side. Their closeness has been restored and I... I became the link tying them together.

”Next time, bring your complaints directly to me, Maaya. Just like this time,” I teased as I caressed her cheeks.

Maaya rolled her eyes but the corner of her mouth curled upwards, hinting at a smile. ”You had your date with Nee-san, and then with Misaki yesterday. What about me?”

”Well, you were with us when Himeko and I went on a date. Doesnʼt that count?” I smirked, enjoying the way Maayaʼs eyes narrowed in mock anger.

”No... Weʼre not... that close yet.”

”You said that but you held my hand pretty tightly back then,” I pointed out, teasing her

further.

With her cheeks adorably puffing, the girl turned around in a huff, crossing her arms over her

chest.

I smilingly shook my head before embracing her from behind, my chin resting on her shoulder, ”Alright, should I visit your hotel this weekend? I want to see how you work. If you want, I can help you out too. Just give me a uniform so I can be like a butler following you two

around.”

”T-thatʼs not the kind of date Iʼm thinking about!” Maaya protested, squirming in my

embrace. Her cheeks were on fire, but she didnʼt pull away. ”But... if you really want to... I guess it could be interesting. Just donʼt get in our way! But youʼre also not allowed to leave

our sight!”

That requirement wasnʼt so bad. I could be with both of them all the time? Deal.

”Absolutely. Iʼll be the best boyfriend-assistant youʼve ever had,” I said with a grin, earning a playful swat from Maayaʼs hand.

A second later, she turned her head to my side and our lips met again in a sweet, lingering

kiss.

This girl... sheʼs so straightforward when it comes to her feelings despite her attempt to hide it by being tsundere most of the time.
