Chapter 16Chapter 16
After a night’s rest, everyone in the Wolf Fang Team went out again to hunt beast-level monsters.

Of course, this time Cody was no longer just a bystander. Under the command of captain Yao Shou, he gradually began to integrate into the combat system of the Langya team.

On the fourth day of hunting in City 003, the Langya team hunted a total of fifteen beast-general level monsters, all of which were junior and intermediate beast-general levels.

On the fifth day, they once again found a group of beasts led by a high-level beast general, and they worked together to easily capture it.

On the sixth day, the seventh day... until the tenth day, they never encountered a high-level beast general monster again, and even the number of intermediate beast generals and junior beast generals was significantly reduced.

”Captain, we have almost killed all the beast-level monsters in the surrounding area. Although the monsters are flowing in large numbers, the number will increase again soon, but do we really want to waste time like this?” In the temporary base, Hou Anxing complained to captain Yao Shou boredly.

”Then what do you think we should do?” Captain Yao Shou asked angrily.

Because they were bringing in new people this time, although the Wolf Fang team did not choose to hunt in a small city, the place they chose was indeed less dangerous than the areas where their team usually hunts.

The area around this commercial district is where their team struggled when they first came to City 003, so they are relatively familiar with it, but they are not very familiar with places farther away because after their team’s strength improved, they went to City 003. A more dangerous area of the city, and that area is not in the same direction as here.

”Captain, with the strength of our team, it shouldn’t be a problem to go deeper into the city even if we are not very familiar with it. How about... let’s go further inside?” Hou Anxing finished tentatively and looked at Yao eagerly. Shou.

”This...” Yao Shou hesitated and did not dare to make a decision too quickly.

”Captain, I think the little monkey is right. With the strength of our team, as long as we don’t encounter a lord-level monster leading a large number of subordinates head-on, we can completely walk sideways in this area. As far as we know, this place is far away from those monsters. The territory of lord-level monsters is still quite far away.” Lao Tian also encouraged.

”Okay, then let’s go a little deeper. If the situation is not right, we will go back.” Yao Shou finally made the decision.

Although they decided to explore deeper into the city, they were not in a hurry. After resting for a day at the temporary base, the energetic people really set out.

After leaving the area that everyone was most familiar with, Cody could clearly feel that the entire team was moving more than a bit slower.

In a whole day, the team only advanced about five kilometers. Along the way, apart from the three junior beast-level monsters they killed casually, there was no other harvest.

”Take a rest and continue exploring tomorrow.” Before dark, everyone found a relatively well-preserved residential building as a place to rest.

There was no talking all night, and at dawn the next day, everyone in the Wolf Fang Team continued to explore.

After walking about three kilometers, we finally found a perfect spot that could be used as a temporary base.

”Okay, that’s it. Let’s rest today and start hunting again tomorrow. Once we kill all the beast-level monsters in this area, we can almost go back.” Captain Yao Shou said with a smile.

”Yes, Captain.” Everyone responded in unison.

The day after arriving at the new temporary base, Cody and the members of the Langya Team set out to hunt again. The newly opened wasteland was different. In just one day, they successfully hunted nearly thirty beast-level monsters. Although Not even one of the high-level beast generals.

Then in the next few days, the fighting life of the Wolf Fang Team became enriched again. Every day, they harvested at least twenty beast-level monsters, and from time to time, they could also harvest a high-level beast-level monster.

It’s the eighth day after arriving at the new temporary base. During these days, everyone in the Wolf Fang Team has almost figured out the surrounding area, so the mood during hunting is much more relaxed than when they first arrived.

”Captain, the quality of the monsters in this area is good. I think our team can come here to hunt in the future.” Just after hunting another high-level beast general, everyone in the Langya team was dissecting monster materials while chatting leisurely. A few words. ”Well, it depends on the situation.” Captain Yao Shou said noncommittally.

”Roar--”

At this moment, a shrill beast roar suddenly came from the distance.

”Hiss! That direction... is the cloud-patterned golden thread dragon!”

As a team of warriors who have been in City 003 all year round, the members of the Wolf Fang Team are of course very aware of the lair locations of the lord-level monsters that must not be provoked in this city.

”So, did someone provoke that evil dragon?”

”It shouldn’t be. If there is any God of War team that is really going to get rid of this big cancer, they will definitely notify our team of warriors who often hang out here in advance. Otherwise, if there is a fight, too many warrior teams will be affected. They cannot escape the accountability of the Ares Palace and the country.” Captain Yao Shou said with some confusion.

”Rumble...”

”Roar...” The harsh voice came again, and it seemed to be closer to the Wolf Fang Team and the others.

”Go upstairs and see what’s going on!” Captain Yao Shou made a quick decision.

The group of people quickly ran to the roof of a nearby tall building.

”Ok?”

When Cody arrived on the roof of the high-rise building, he immediately looked towards the direction where the loud noise came from. He could vaguely see a white dragon monster in the distance, speeding through the city at low altitude.

In front of the dragon monster, three small dots could be faintly seen running away crazily. Sometimes they crossed over residential buildings, sometimes they flew down the street, and sometimes they ran across houses.

Wherever it passed, groups of monsters roared and ran wildly.

”Roar……”

As a high-ranking lord-level monster, the Cloud Pattern Golden Thread Jiao has natural dominance over monsters lower than it. Even though many low-level monsters are not usually directly controlled by it, after this beast’s roar, they all behaved obediently. Follow the command and swarm towards the three small dots.

The three little dots who were being chased were naturally desperate to find a way to escape.

”Wucao, it must be those foreign war gods who have no eyes for having a son. They just want to secretly plot the evil dragon. If they fail, they always want to divert the disaster to the east.” Captain Yao Shou suddenly cursed.

”Get ready to retreat, everyone!” After cursing, Yao Shou sighed again.

”Rumble...”

The sound of thousands of monsters galloping and roaring resounded throughout City 003.
