Starting from the Wizarding World

Chapter 213: Disaster and the Four PartiesChapter 213: Disaster and the Four Directions

”Since we have begun to awaken one after another and the original survivors have become active, the people from ’Mother River’ and ’First Island’ must have appeared in this era. After all, our awakening is related to ’calamity.’” The Silver Spider Girl took the initiative to help Rorschach analyze the current situation.

On Luo Xia’s side, after hearing a few key words said by the Silver Spider Girl, some memories from his inherited memory quickly came to his mind.

In the inherited memory from Purgatory, the amount of information is extremely huge. Even though Rorschach is now a mid-level god with five-ring moon, he cannot receive such a large amount of information in one breath because it is likely to affect his true self.

In other words, it’s not that we can’t, but that we don’t want to.

His current strength is definitely not weak, not to mention in the Blood Hell world group, even if you look at the entire wizarding world and even this universe, he is not weak.

Apart from the very few who are truly rule-level and can rival the ordinary Blazing Sun Throne, there are only a limited number of the strongest ones that he is wary of.

But other than that, there are few people who can threaten him.

Even if he is defeated, he can escape calmly.

However, the rapid growth in strength cannot change the fact that he is still young.

In some ways, this is a good thing because it means his future is full of possibilities.

But in some aspects, such as receiving inherited memories, it would be a bit embarrassing, because receiving too much information at one time is likely to impact his self-awareness and even make him lose his true self.

It’s like an eighteen-year-old person suddenly receives all the memories from an eighty-year-old man, and they all pour into his mind.

So is he really still the same person?
It seems like you are simply taking in information, but trouble arises when the amount of information you take in is far greater than your original memory and experience.

Rorschach has never fully accepted the inherited memory because doing so might affect himself.

However, when he touches upon certain key information, he can actually retrieve relevant memories from inherited memories, just like information retrieval.

Now is a typical example. When the Silver Spider Girl took the initiative to mention the ”Mother River” and the ”Shi Island”, Rorschach immediately ”recalled” a lot of things.

No one knows how many years this world has existed.

Moreover, every once in a while, there will be a catastrophe that sweeps across the entire universe, and the entire universe will be reshuffled and restarted in the catastrophe.

Of course, the specific form of the catastrophe is generally uncertain, and the intervals are also random.

If it is short, it may be tens of millions of years; if it is long, it may even be billions of years.

The period between the two catastrophes is a different era, and each era will give birth to many different civilizations.

In this era, the protagonist is undoubtedly the wizard civilization, while civilizations like the ancient tree civilization, the star god civilization, etc. are all supporting roles of the era.

However, there are too many trendsetters like the wizarding civilization in the history of this universe, just like the Old Ones, who were also the protagonists of the era in which they lived.

The era when the Old Ones were born has experienced at least four or five catastrophes since then, and the ancients who lingered on in the era when the Old Ones lived were also once the protagonists.

Almost every restart of an era means the demise of many civilizations.

However, there are always exceptions.

In this universe, there are four transcendent forces that can transcend every catastrophe and restart.

These four transcendent forces are the Purgatory, Origin, Mother River, and Shidao Island just mentioned by the Silver Spider Girl!

Rorschach is undoubtedly the most familiar with Purgatory.

At first, he thought that Purgatory was just like the Gray Realm, a different small world. Later, he thought that Purgatory was similar to the Blood Hell and the Abyss.

It was not until he came into contact with more and more things about Purgatory and met with the Purgatory Lords such as Big Eyes that he realized that the existence of Purgatory was far more terrifying than all the assumptions he had made before!
Simply put, Purgatory is an omnipresent dimension. It coexists with this universe, but is not on the same level.

This is also the reason why Purgatory will not be destroyed by the catastrophe of this universe. It is completely different from the world groups located in this universe.

Of course, the great catastrophe of this universe will indeed affect Purgatory. Even if you really hide in Purgatory, you may still be affected.

That is why the lords of Purgatory would enter a state of self-sleeping in advance before each catastrophe, so as to avoid being knocked down by the aftermath of the catastrophe.

Although the purgatory lords are very powerful, if they are really outside purgatory during a catastrophe, the possibility of surviving is not high.

Purgatory can only weaken the impact of the catastrophe, and even after being weakened, they still cannot survive. You can imagine how terrifying it will be to face the catastrophe head-on!
In fact, it is not just the Purgatory side that is like this. The other three parties also have their own ways of avoiding disaster.

It is precisely with these means that they can span many eras and reap the rewards of many eras.

Their strength is not because they have always been so strong, but because they have been constantly absorbing nutrients from every era.

However, there were also cases of harvest failure. For example, in the era when the Old Ones were born, Purgatory took the lead among the four forces, but they underestimated the tenacity of the Old Ones’ civilization.

In the end, none of the Old Ones chose to bow their heads, and the main fighting forces of the Old Ones were all slaughtered in Purgatory in that battle.

Only a few remnants were left, who relied on the power of Hajima to sleep and avoid the disaster.

It is worth mentioning that among the four transcendent forces, Shidao is the most Buddhist one.

They will not actively reap the harvest of each era, because they only believe in fate, and only those who can discover the existence of the island can be protected.

Moreover, they will not force members to join, everything is left to fate.

This is the exact opposite of Purgatory.

Purgatory is usually accustomed to using force to oppress others, and is extremely brutal during the harvest process, destroying civilization is as easy as eating and drinking.

From a secular perspective, Purgatory is definitely the most brutal and evil of the four transcendental forces. In comparison, the other three are simply too normal.

The original party is not as enthusiastic about recruiting new members as Purgatory. What they value are usually the resources of different eras.

Moreover, the original side has the fewest core members among the four transcendent forces, or it can be said that the number of their core members rarely changes.

The reason for this is naturally related to their composition structure.

The core members of the original party are also called the original survivors. It is said that they are the overlords of the first era of this universe!

That era is also called the Primitive Era.

The reason why they are called the original remnants is naturally because they are the first batch of creatures to face the catastrophe and restart.

A force like this, which is composed of a specific group, will naturally not recruit new core members at will. Even if they recruit people, they will only recruit subordinates, and will not allow these latecomers to truly join the core group of the original party. As for the Mother River, it is the most mysterious one among the four transcendent forces.

Not to mention the native civilizations of different eras, even the other three transcendent forces are somewhat confused about the specific situation of the Mother River.

Among the four transcendent forces, Purgatory and Origin are always the most active, so they also have the most conflicts with each other.

In every era, whenever they meet, a fierce fight is inevitable.

Both sides have their own strengths, so most of the time neither can do anything to the other, and there is indeed not much difference in overall strength.

Especially in terms of top combat power, it’s basically fifty-fifty.

This time, when the big-eyed creatures learned that the wizard civilization had actually imprisoned the Original Ghost Mother, a terrifying existence that was one of the top powerful beings among the original survivors, they naturally felt very complicated.

On the one hand, people are amazed that the protagonist of this era is so terrifying that even the original ghost mother can be sealed and imprisoned.

But on the other hand, they are also happy about it.

Because with the current state of the Original Weird Mother, it should be difficult for her to recover to her peak state, at least in this era. This also means that if the Purgatory side collides with the Original side again in this era, the Purgatory side will definitely have the advantage, because the Original side has lost a top existence.

It is worth mentioning that the main reason why the four transcendent forces appeared one after another in the same time period is related to the catastrophe.

Every time before this world is about to face a catastrophe, there will be some advance signs, and these signs are also called the breath of catastrophe.

Every time the four transcendent forces use various means to avoid a catastrophe, they will fall into a dormant state and will not reappear until they sense the breath of catastrophe.

Now that the Lords of Purgatory and the original survivors have begun to awaken one after another, there is naturally only one reason - the great catastrophe of this era is about to come!

Of course, the word ’almost’ here is relative.

After all, for truly strong people, life span is no longer important, and they will not be troubled by it.

So this is going to take, at least tens of thousands of years, and at most even more than a hundred thousand years.

For Rorschach, who is less than 100 years old this year, even the shortest possibility is more than a thousand times longer than his current life.

However, for the great wizards of the Moon and even the thrones, this time is really short.

You know, the lifespans of old antiques among wizards like the Nine Thrones, Evil, and Decay are over 100 million years.

Tens of thousands of years is really not a long time for them.

”So, do the thrones know about the catastrophe?” After recalling the memories of the catastrophe and the four transcendent forces, Rorschach couldn’t help but ponder.

The final conclusion is - I know!
Judging from what the Nine Thrones are showing now, they seem to know the biggest secrets of this universe like the back of their hands.

Since they know the situation of the original survivors, they must have channels to learn about the catastrophe.

Although it is unclear how they knew all this, since they decided to completely eliminate the Original Mother so long ago, and finally decided to take action after other Original survivors appeared, there must be a reason.

In this case, it would be strange to say that the Nine Thrones knew nothing about these things.

”From what I know, those thrones are holding the original Weird Mother in a very special way and forcing her to continuously split her own power, in order to completely wipe her out one day.”

After roughly understanding the situation of the four transcendent forces, Luo Xia pondered and said, ”I just don’t know where they knew this method...”

”Could it be the Mother River?” the Silver Spider Girl guessed.

”Mother River?” Rorschach was stunned.

However, he soon understood why the Silver Spider Girl made such a guess.

Because from the past experiences of the Purgatory Lords, whenever there are some situations that they find difficult to understand, nine out of ten times they are related to the Mother River.

If I have to describe the Mother River, it would probably be mystery and the unknown.

Even the Lords of Purgatory have no good way to seal and imprison the Original Evil Mother and find a way to kill it completely.

If they prepare in advance, they can indeed defeat the Original Mother, but it is almost impossible to kill it completely.

For a being like this, there are too many ways to avoid being killed completely.

Even if all traces of their existence are completely erased, they can still revive and come back.

It’s not just the Original Mother who can do this. Most of the Lords of Purgatory also have such means, especially the most powerful ones among them.

They have encountered countless accidents in the long history of this universe, but no danger has ever truly threatened them.

Except for the catastrophe.

But if there really is such a method, the only possibility the Silver Spider Girl can think of is the Mother River.

The existence of the Mother River itself represents the incredible.

However, Rorschach is not the throne after all, nor has he become the top existence in wizard civilization. He certainly has no way of knowing the most confidential things of wizard civilization.

”No matter where they got the method from, as long as they can kill the Ghost Mother, it’s a good thing, isn’t it?” Rorschach shook his head and smiled.

”Indeed, if the original survivors really don’t have the Ghost Mother, they won’t be able to fight us in at least the next few eras. I hope those wizards can be more powerful.” The Silver Spider Girl said with a smile when she heard this.

”Well, it’s time for us to go. There should be a storm in the wizarding world soon. We can’t miss this excitement.” Rorschach said.

”Oh, right. Then I’ll go inform Evil Eye and the others first. If the wizards really have a chance to kill the Ghost Mother, we can help.” The Silver Spider Girl said with an idea.

”Yes, indeed.” Rorschach nodded.

”Then I’ll retreat first. Do you want Ah Jing to take you there?” The Silver Spider Girl looked at Luo Xia and asked.

”No need, see you later--”

Rorschach turned around and disappeared on the spot.

The Silver Spider Girl curled her lips upon seeing this, snorted proudly, and then disappeared.
