Starting As a Young Eagle, I Evolve Into an Ice Beast

56: Chapter 56 Tempering the Body, in an Orderly MannerEarth Savage Bear territory.

Wherever Bai Xuan went, the Savage Bears all lowered their heads in respect.

Bai Xuan nodded, gave a symbolic greeting, and headed straight for Xiong Yan’s dwelling. At this moment, Xiong Yan was exercising his body, slamming his strong and powerful frame against the mountain to temper his physique, feeling the power of the earth with his heart to enhance his own attribute power.

For a beast to advance to the Third Rank, its attributes must reach a certain level of intensity, and spiritual energy must break through the bottleneck for the advancement to be successful. It is still very difficult, and it will only get harder as it progresses.

Watching Xiong Yan training hard, Bai Xuan nodded in satisfaction:

”Not bad, your strength has increased quite a bit.”

He really hadn’t misjudged the bear. Xiong Yan had managed the Bear Clan in perfect order, and his own level had improved significantly. With his talent, if he continued to work hard, he could become a hegemon in the future.

Xiong Yan stopped slamming against the mountain, landed on all fours, turned to look at Bai Xuan, and lowered his head:

”Eagle King.”

”How has the clan been developing during this time?” Bai Xuan crouched on a large rock, looking at Xiong Yan, and asked.

Xiong Yan naturally noticed the changes in Bai Xuan; his aura was even more terrifying. The Eagle King’s talent was truly high.

After coming back to his senses, Xiong Yan hurriedly answered Bai Xuan’s question:

”According to the Eagle King’s instructions, the Bear Clan is doing well, there have been no fights, and we are doing our best to collect spirit stones for the Eagle King.”

”Well done. I really did not misjudge you.” Bai Xuan praised.

”The Eagle King is too kind.” Xiong Yan scratched the back of his head, feeling a bit embarrassed.

”I will take forty percent of the collected spirit stones, you take ten percent, and distribute the rest to strengthen the clan.”

”Yes.” Xiong Yan stored all the collected spirit stones. As for the previous Low-Grade Spirit Stones, he had distributed them to strengthen the clan’s power. He had been worried about what to do once the spirit stones were exhausted and wanted to talk to Bai Xuan about it, but he hadn’t expected Bai Xuan to bring it up first.

Xiong Yan had no complaints about this distribution method; in fact, he completely agreed with it.

This was a huge boon for the growth of the clan, and he no longer had to worry about running out of spirit stones in the future.

”Sit down and talk, don’t be so nervous, I won’t eat you.” Bai Xuan could see Xiong Yan’s nervousness; he had been respectful from beginning to end.

This was good, but Bai Xuan felt that being moderate was enough; there was no need to be so serious and respectful all the time.

Give sincerity, along with appropriate majesty. Using both kindness and authority is the best way to get things done for oneself.

”Yes.” Xiong Yan sat down on the ground, his expression serious and earnest from beginning to end. He firmly remembered every word or command Bai Xuan said, striving to do his best to obtain more resources, more trust, and more protection.

The Bear Clan was indeed very strong in this region, but it was hard to say in other areas. Having a backer was ultimately good; it meant being able to obtain more resources, fulfilling each other’s needs, and achieving mutual benefit.

Now, Xiong Yan was even more willing to submit to Bai Xuan without any complaints. He would pass this matter down; the Bear Clan would always be loyal to Bai Xuan, treating Bai Xuan as their backer, and the resources were just protection fees. This was not bad at all.

”By the way, has anything happened during this time? For example, have the humans made any moves?” Bai Xuan did not force Xiong Yan to speak to him in any particular attitude.

Bai Xuan had to understand the humans’ movements clearly; if there were any major actions, he could respond immediately.

”Humans are currently clashing with the Siberian beasts, and it won’t spread to our side for the time being. At the same time, many beasts cannot withstand the humans’ attacks and have fled here one after another; the previous Siberian Wolf Clan was like that.”

Xiong Yan told Bai Xuan everything he knew.

There were also cities and houses where humans lived in the Far East Region, but because of the spiritual energy recovery and the rampant beasts, they chose to leave, and they became empty cities.

”So that’s how it is.” Bai Xuan nodded gently.

This was quite good. Since it hadn’t spread here, they had enough time to grow. At the same time, they could eat those beasts that fled here to improve their own levels and strength. The Bear Clan didn’t just eat land beasts; they also ate spirit fruits, aquatic creatures, and so on—they ate everything that was edible.

Spirit fruits were the fruits produced by some winter spirit plants in the forest, which were rich in spiritual energy and were of great help to beasts.

”Then, Eagle King, what do we need to do? Should we go and deal with the humans?” Xiong Yan had also experienced human attacks—fighter jets, grenade launchers, missiles, and so on.

Most were aerial strikes and long-range strikes. There were also some in the ocean areas with warships, but they were much fewer compared to the others.

Many of his kin had been killed by humans, and Xiong Yan was naturally very angry about this.

”Do not engage with them for now; it is not the time yet. Strengthening the clan is the top priority.” Bai Xuan stated his thoughts.

When it is time to fight, we will fight, but now is not the time. Anyway, there are other beasts holding them off, so they just need to do their best to improve their own strength.

It won’t be too late to step in and stop them when the other beasts can no longer hold on.

Beasts also need their own territory and places to survive. Although Bai Xuan was a Flight beast, he also needed a habitat, so he could never hand over this region.

Other beasts naturally had the same idea, and some even had an innate obsession with their territory; even if they died, they would never leave their territory and would fight to the death.

”Good, I will listen to you.” Xiong Yan nodded heavily.

He had the same idea. It really hadn’t spread here yet, and they still had time to grow. If they recklessly rushed over to fight for their lives, they would likely perish. If their lives were gone, what was there to talk about revenge?

Nowadays, many beasts maintained hostility toward humans.

Just like that, Bai Xuan chatted with Xiong Yan for a while.

Afterward, Xiong Yan took Bai Xuan to get the spirit stones. Bai Xuan kept his word and only took forty percent of the spirit stones, swallowing them all into his stomach:

”By the way, take this. If any accidents happen, inject spiritual energy into it, and I will be able to sense it and rush over to help immediately.”

Bai Xuan used his eagle beak to pluck a feather from his body, and then the feather floated in front of Xiong Yan.

Xiong Yan carefully held the feather, afraid of damaging it. He could clearly feel the terrifying aura emanating from the feather, which lingered for a long time. Taking out this feather would be enough to deter most beasts now:

”Thank you, Eagle King.”

”You’re welcome.” Bai Xuan waved his wings.

”Um, Eagle King, can you answer me a question?” Xiong Yan hesitated several times, but finally asked.

”Let’s hear it.” Bai Xuan did not agree directly; there were some things that Bai Xuan truly could not tell Xiong Yan.

”It’s just, how high is your level now, Eagle King?” Xiong Yan was very curious about Bai Xuan’s level, and at the same time, he wanted to catch up to Bai Xuan’s pace.

”Third Rank, Fifth Stage.” Bai Xuan did not tell the truth about his real level.

Last time, it was because Xiao Hei and the others thought he had definitely advanced to the Third Rank, and coupled with what Bai Xuan was going to do next, it would inevitably expose his Third Rank strength. Therefore, telling the truth was fine; there was no need to hide it.

And this time, Third Rank was very reasonable; they would be able to believe it and would not doubt it. After all, the Fourth Rank was too far away from them, and they would not even think of the Fourth Rank.

As for the changes, they wouldn’t think too much about it; they would only think it was the second bloodline evolution of the Third Rank.
