Chapter 375: He’s Gone Too Far! (1)

A lot of people had seen Cillin during that warm-up competition before the actual exam, so they quickly noticed that one of the judges for the shooting test looked very familiar. Everyone was speechless when they realized they weren’t seeing things: that guy looks like he’s the same age as me, but he’s an exam instructor already? How the…

Unlike the examinees, most of the exam instructors did not hold much expectation for this term’s selection test at all. It was because Cillin wasn’t participating in the selection test. Cillin had stunned everyone with his PTS K during the previous term, and in their opinion the only way that experience could be topped was if the young man showed off the PTS S this term. Obviously, that wasn’t going to happen.

The PTS S was a weapon that most of the teachers in the affiliated schools had only heard of. In fact, they reckoned that most of Guan Feng’s own disciples had not laid their eyes on the weapon before. In Guan Feng’s words, the PTS S was a far superior weapon to the PTS K, so it only made sense that its wielder must be even better. To this day, Cillin was the only one who qualified to use it.

Some exam instructors tried to persuade Cillin into kicking off the shooting test with a demonstration, but Cillin rejected the suggestion not only because he saw no benefit in doing so, but also because it was too powerful. It would be disastrous if he accidentally blew a hole in the shooting range and caused the exam to be delayed.

Some people said that Cillin performed exceptionally during his selection test only because he was lucky enough to get his hands on an amazing gun, but that could not be further away from the truth. Every teacher in the affiliated schools knew just how difficult it was to master the Purgatory Thunder Snake.

Back to the present. The exam instructors were about to kick off the test when suddenly, the sub-head of the shooting range—also the team leader of the exam instructors who were assigned to handle the shooting test—called a halt. It was because someone would be coming over to give the examinees a live demonstration of the test.

The exam instructors were confused to say the least. In the past, the demonstration was either performed live by one of the instructors, or shown via video. Since Cillin had refused to give a live demonstration, they had agreed to do it via video this time. Apparently, they thought wrong.

“What’s going on?” Someone asked.

“Not sure. It seems like the team leader received a notice last minute. He looks confident though, so it’s probably someone who can definitely wow the audience.”

The examineesʼ eyes grew expectant as the exam instructors chatted among themselves. Most of the time, the person performing the live demonstration was at least at the level of an exam instructor. They were all wondering who would be making the live demonstration when the entrance slid open to reveal a pair of newcomers. Cillin knew immediately what was going to happen when he saw them.

“Guan Feng?! What the heck is he doing here?” The exam instructors exclaimed in surprise.

Guan Feng normally did not involve himself in a certain task after he had delegated it to someone, not to mention that he had never been interested in overseeing a selection test like this. What was going on here?

Some of the examinees also recognized Guan Feng right away. His exposure rate wasn’t high, but many people still followed him because of his fame.

“It’s Guan Feng! It’s actually Guan Feng!”

“I cannot believe it! My idol!!”

To say that the examinees were boiling with excitement would be an understatement Guan Feng was going to perform a live demonstration for them! It would be worth it even if they failed the selection test!

Some people were also planning to give it their all during their turn. Who knows, maybe Guan Feng would choose them to be his next disciple?

The exam instructors’ focus was somewhere else, however. They were all looking at the girl walking next to Guan Feng.

“Hey Cillin, that’s not your junior sister, is it?” someone asked.

“She is indeed. Her name is Tang Qiuqiu.”

It needn’t be said that Cillin was very proud of Tang Qiuqiu. Judging from the glint of excitement in her eyes, he bet that Guan Feng must have shared with her much of his private stash. She must’ve had one hell of a good time.

“Who will perform the live demonstration? Guan Feng or your junior sister?”

“My junior sister.”

Guan Feng hadn’t notified Cillin about this beforehand, but he knew his mentor was here to show off one hundred percent.

As expected, Guan Feng simply sat down at a chair outside the firing bay and did nothing after entering the venue. The examinees were confused until they saw a young girl about the same age as Yvonne walking into the cone-shaped shooting field.

Unlike Cillin, Tang Qiuqiu hadn’t entered the field with an unassembled gun. The moment she was in position, she immediately unholstered a gun from her waist. Most of the examinees did not recognize the weapon, but the graduates from AF1 and AF2 and the exam instructors did. It was none other than the gun Cillin had used to wow the audience during the previous term, the PTS K.

The countdown began. Since the door to the shooting field wasn’t shut, everyone could hear the countdown clearly. Even as they held their breaths and waited, they noticed that the shooter’s physiological parameters such as heart rate were measured and displayed real time on the apparatus. If the numbers were to be believed, the young girl was so composed it was unnerving.

“... five, four, three, two, one!!”

Bang bang bang bang bang—

The shooting range echoed with a series of rapid-fire shos, and the text ”target hit” kept popping up on the screen.

The examinees still hadn’t recovered from their shock when Tang Qiuqiu had holstered and walked out of the firing bay. Guan Feng shot everyone a smile before leading Tang Qiuqiu out of the shooting range.

“That… that’s it?” an examinee blurted in confusion after he came to. Before the shooting began, they clearly saw the number “100” on the shooting counter. It meant that a hundred targets were still standing. However, that made no sense because…

“Why do I hear fifteen shots only?”

“Fifteen? I only heard fourteen shots.”

“It’s sixteen.”

“No, I’m sure it’s fifteen…”

It was a moot argument because it didn’t change the fact that the girl had somehow taken out a hundred targets in just a dozen or so shots.

Meanwhile, every exam instructor except Cillin felt a vein popping across their forehead. One of them clenched his fists so hard that it was cracking audibly. “That goddamn sonuvabitch is just… just… he’s gone too far! Too far, goddammit!!”

It was a sentiment that everyone echoed.

We can tolerate you for not showing us your guns, we can ignore you for not joining the exam team, and we can accept that you’ve found another disciple, but this? This is just rubbing it in our face adding salt to the wound!

So what if you got a new disciple who could use the PTS K? So what if she’s just a teenager?

God fucking dammit!
