Chapter 231: Get Me That Cillin Kid [Part 2]

Tousen looked serious and imposing when he was standing before so many others back at Baelenbaatar Middle School, but in front of Mrs Griffin he was meeker than even when he was facing his own dad.

“Haah, you heartless little fellow, I knew you would act this way. We’re the kind of people who won’t appear even in your day dream when you’re free. You’ll only remember us when you need something.” Griffin wrapped her hair around her finger and sighed.

Tousen smiled embarrassedly. He knew that Griffin wasn’t angry with him; that was just how the teachers usually spoke.

“Well, speak. Who do you want to know about? And don’t say I didn’t warn you, but you better not be eyeing our men. I can’t stand sending my men to that trashcan of yours.”

Is that what the entire 23rd military region means to you?!

“Ahem, it’s like this. I want to know if there’s a person named Cillin at AF1 or AF2? Oh right, I have a video of him that I can show.”

Tousen replayed Cillin’s video for Griffin.

The video started from the moment Tousen started walking towards Cillin, and Cillin sitting on the person he threw on the ground. Cillin first looked up to stare straight at Tousen. Then, he shifted his gaze shifted behind Tousen towards the flying car the latter had driven over. It was a military use flying car, and a camera was installed above the vehicle. It was the camera that Cillin was staring at, so the camera caught this image as well.

Griffin couldn’t tell how Cillin looked when he was staring at Tousen, but during that one instant he had looked at the camera, his eyes… Griffin narrowed her eyes once. She had let go of her hair and started brushing the finger against the eye tooth at the edge of her red lips.

Every hair behind Tousen’s back stood on its end the second he saw Griffin’s appearance. As someone who knew her, he only knew too well what this particular habit of his teacher meant. It meant that there was no chance in hell his military region was going to get Cillin no matter what.

“Ahem, um… Mrs Griffin. Since you’re all busy your student shall be on his way…”

“Hmm?”

The slightly raised note was all it took to stop Tousen from cutting off the call. He waited meekly for Griffin to continue.

“Say, little Tousen. What is this kid’s name again?” Griffin asked.

“Cillin,” Tousen answered meekly. Meanwhile, he cursed himself hundreds and thousands times over in his own mind. God dammit that idiot Bel’s stupidity had infected me! I can’t believe I called Mrs Griffin about this! It’s finished, I went for wool and came back shorn!

“Cillin, huh… so when are you going to get me this Cillin kid, little Tousen?” Griffin asked with a bright and beautiful smile on her face.

Tousen wanted to cry. Get her Cillin? How?!

“Um… I think it’ll be a little difficult, Mrs Griffin.” Tousen’s voice grew smaller and smaller.

“Tell me.”

“Er, not only he’s backed by the Sizer Family, he’s also backed by the Blazing Eagle royal family too. I want to get Cillin for the 23rd military region myself, but that Scott Bel is guarding me like he’s guarding against a thief. I just can’t find an opportunity.”

Griffin snorted when she heard Tousen’s words. “Oh little Tousen, you’ve gotten worse and worse ever since you were delegated to the 23rd military region, I see. Never mind! I’m feeling good today so I shan’t pick on your faults today. You can forget about Cillin now; I’ll make sure that no other military region... will take him in.”

Her claim sounded a little boastful. How dare a mere teacher of a military school and a colonel make such a confident claim? Was she aware how many generals, lieutenant generals and major generals there were in the entire empire? A mere colonel would never get a turn to decide things!

Any colonel but Griffin that is, and Tousen knew this very well. In fact, a lot of the empire’s generals these days were taught by none other than Griffin herself.

“Yes madam!”

“Good boy.”

When Griffin finally cut off the call, Tousen exhaled deep on his end. Although he had left school for a couple of years already, he still couldn’t help himself from trembling in fear when he met his teacher again.

I think… I did a bad thing! Tousen thought while rubbing his chin. Then, he decided not to inform Bel and Cillin about this. It wasn’t like Bel would allow him to finish his words anyway, so they could deal with this predicament themselves. At the very least, no other military region was getting Cillin if the 23rd military region couldn’t get him.

Meanwhile, after cutting off the call with Tousen, Griffin brought up a display and rummaged through the records inside. When she found a particular video record and played it on her screen, she compared it to the image of Cillin Tousen sent her.

Their eyes are so similar. Naturally, Griffin knew everything about her own students such as their past experiences, their personality, their habits and so on. But just what did Cillin go through to have eyes like this? It would seem that there were still plenty of precious treasures out there that were beyond their sights.

Right now, Bel and Cillin who were eating roasted frogs with Chang Three and Chang Four still had no idea that they were occupying the minds of many people.

Originally, Cillin was going to get back to Old Chang first after taking care of Chang Three and Chang Four. However, after Bel received a certain message, he dragged Cillin to another planet in the 23rd star region.

Before they departed, Cillin communicated with Old Chang a little to learn about the shop and Chang Five’s recovery. However, he had used the public communicator at Baelenbaatar’s head deputy teacher’s office to call them instead of using his own communicator. Bel said that he wouldn’t need to pay for the communication fee this way, and the display of the public communicator was a lot clearer than Cillin’s own small and shabby communicator. Anyway, it was a waste not to use a readily available resource.

One of the good things about Mist Bodhisattva Empire was that every star region in the empire shared one gigantic communication network. It made communication a lot more convenient than otherwise.

Cillin and Bel hadn’t stayed for more than 24 hours in Baelenbaatar, but the commotion they caused was enough to be recorded into one of the top ten most influential events to ever happen in Baelenbaatar. It was because some of Baelenbaatar’s denizens got to see the prince of the Blazing Eagle royal family who was studying in the Third Affiliated Higher Education Institution of the Royal Academy of Sciences everyone yearned for, and the noble born Major Tousen fighting evenly against a certain young man with their own eyes. Although the exchange of blows was incredibly brief and no one saw their movements clearly, they did see the headmaster and other leaders of the school trembling before the duo…

Regardless of what happened, Chang Three and Chang Four were no longer looked down upon by the other nobles. In their view, these two kids were backed up by the prince of the Blazing Eagle royal family himself. The leaders of the school also thought them as seedlings with a great future ahead of them.

After that day, Nakut who had helped roasted the frogs often boasted before other people that he once ate roasted frogs together with the prince.

As for Cillin, many people seemed to think that he was a foil beneath the prince of the Blazing Eagle royal family and Major Tousen. Only a small amount of people placed more attention onto Cillin, and these people all went on to achieve great things in the future. Among these people were Lu Jie and Tai Tu.

Cillin and Bel took Bel’s 4-man spaceplane to Gen Xingming’s planet while Musso and Ichechi were still busy dealing with the mess they left behind their butts.

Sitting inside the spaceplane, Cillin rubbed his finger where the curly leaf ring was. Cillin had put on a pair of gloves not long after he arrived at Mist Bodhisattva Empire, and the glove covered up his palm and the finger with the ring specifically. It was also why Bel hadn’t discovered the secret on Cillin’s finger all this time.

Genya once said that he could take him home when his ring resonates, but when was it going to resonate exactly? Would it resonate if he were to run into a direct descendant of the Gen Family?

Would Gen Xingming, son of the current King Fuji be able to cause a reaction from the ring? Cillin looked forward to it.
