Slime Evolution

Chapter 131: 131 - Big Spending!

[Enjoy your bonus Chapter from the Power Stones Goal!]

Looking at the blue windows glowing before him, if Lohan had eyes, they would be shining right now.

The first expense went toward the Skill that had accelerated Lohan’s evolution so much at the start of Elysium that, despite the high cost, Lohan spent 1,792 Biomass to evolve it to Level 11 without hesitation.

[After 10 minor evolutions, Passive Digestion is undergoing a qualitative evolution...]

[Passive Digestion Lv 8 → Lv 11] - 2,048 Biomass

[New trait obtained: Passive Digestion Engine!]

[Features: Passive Digestion Engine: By consuming external energy, the user’s Passive Digestion rate can be accelerated!]

Reading the description of this feature, he got very excited!

Even though it explained almost nothing, Lohan instinctively felt that now he could use Mana to accelerate the speed of his passive digestion!

Concentrating for a second, Lohan controlled his own Mana to flow into his core, focused on fueling the [Passive Digestion]; the more Mana he injected, the faster his digestion speed rose!

Unfortunately, after continuously injecting Mana there, at one point Lohan felt a saturation and realized he had reached a limit.

Weighing the cost and the gain, Lohan calculated that he could double the speed of Passive Digestion from 68.71 Bio/h to 137.41 Bio/h in exchange for roughly 1 Mana/h!

The cost wasn’t that high for such a massive increase in Biomass gain!

Looking at the next Skill, Lohan decided to invest 449 Biomass to achieve another qualitative evolution.

[After 10 minor evolutions, Body Density is undergoing a qualitative evolution...]

[Body Density Lv 10 → Lv 16] - 179.37 Biomass

[New trait obtained: Gravitational Anchoring!]

[Traits: Gravitational Anchoring - When activating this trait, the user’s internal density increases slightly, making it difficult to be moved by external forces, kinetic impacts, or lower-level repulsion magic.]

Reading the new trait he had obtained, Lohan would be smiling if he had a mouth right now.

This skill might not seem like much, but he could already think of several applications for it in combat!

Despite having spent a lot of biomass, Lohan decided to focus on one of his greatest allies in combat.

Spending another 751 Biomass, Lohan felt a slight twinge of regret, but he didn’t hesitate.

With the evolutions of this skill, Lohan had spent 2,992 Biomass in total, but considering how much his digestion speed would increase after this, he didn’t regret it one bit.

[After 10 minor evolutions, Partial Division is undergoing a qualitative evolution...]

[Partial Division Lv 7 → Lv 11] - 432.46 Bio

[New trait obtained: Mental Connection!]

[Traits: Mental Connection - Biological extensions (clones) now possess the ability to transfer biomass over a distance! A portion of this biomass is lost in the transfer, but physical contact is no longer absolutely necessary.]

[NunuNote: I used this trait in a previous Chapter without realizing it; I went back to edit that part so Lohan could deal with the enemy differently, but the result was still the same, so you don’t need to worry.]

Reading that new feature, Lohan was so happy he had to restrain himself from unleashing several clones right here and now.

Not only could he now transfer biomass between himself and the clone almost via Bluetooth—which was ironic considering his color—but the number of clones he could generate and control had also increased!

With the upgrades from all these evolutions, Lohan’s digestion speed rose from the previous nearly 2,000 biomass per hour (with active hemolymphatic tissue) to 2,980 Bio/h currently with Passive Digestion powered by Mana!

Without that power, digestion dropped to 2,518 Bio/h, which was still very good!

If it weren’t for having little biomass available right now, Lohan would like to buy even more evolutions, but he’d have to wait a few hours to become more powerful again.

”Hehe, I’m gaining almost 3,000 biomass per hour now... if I told that to the little Slime from a week ago who was digesting grass to get 0.1 biomass, he’d go crazy!”

With the snowball rolling, Lohan wasn’t even that concerned anymore with minor effects that might be more efficient in the evolutions he bought.

Digesting as much biomass per hour as he was now, Lohan could practically buy any Evolution he wanted at any time!

Every minute, his stored Biomass increased by 49!

Unfortunately, before he could spend any more Biomass, Lisa stopped walking, indicating that they had arrived at their destination.

After creating the Astralis Requiem, Lohan and Lisa weren’t satisfied with their power level, and they knew that the few silver coins they had would be practically nothing when they had to invest in the dozens or even hundreds of players who would join their guild, so they decided to accomplish both of these goals at the same time.

And for that, they returned to the Silver Crucible.

Seeing the small duo enter the shop, Intervar, who was assisting a customer, waved politely at them, asking with his eyes for them to wait a moment while he finished dealing with that customer.

Neither Lohan nor Lisa minded this, looking around the shop with interest at the items.

But contrary to what they imagined, the customer talking to Intervar also saw the pair, and instead of thinking they were just two little monsters, that customer sensed the intensity of the power they carried and was shocked.

”Intervar, my friend, would you mind introducing me to these noble guests?” the man asked with interest.

With wrinkles on his face and long gray hair, the man held a large staff in one hand and a dusty book strapped to his waist. He wore a majestic blue cloak, the perfect embodiment of a wizard.

To the man, that small pair posed no threat, since although they were obviously powerful for the age they appeared to be, to someone of that wizard’s caliber, the pair was no different from ants.

But even so, the man did not act arrogantly. Quite the contrary; despite his great strength, he acted with great politeness and courtesy.
