Shocking! The Fake Young Master Has Been Won Over by the Real Young Master!

170: Bonus Chapter (4) Wedding AnniversaryTheir wedding anniversary was approaching. Ever since Yan Qinghe learned from the previous misunderstanding that Yan Zhuohua was preparing a gift for him, he had been excited and expectant for several months.

During this time, Yan Qinghe’s curiosity got the better of him several times, and he ”interrogated” Yan Zhuohua, wanting to know what the gift was in advance. Unfortunately, Yan Zhuohua’s lips were truly sealed this time; even after being ”tormented to death” several times, he didn’t let a single word slip.

It wasn’t until today, the last time, when Yan Zhuohua broke down in tears and warned him between sobs that if he didn’t let him go, he would confiscate the gift, that Yan Qinghe reluctantly stopped and held him in his arms to comfort him.

After a long while, Yan Zhuohua finally calmed down and regained some of his senses.

”I suspect you’re just using this as an excuse to torment me.” You’re clearly just using this as a pretext!

Yan Qinghe paused and rubbed his nose guiltily.

”Why aren’t you saying anything? I hit the nail on the head, didn’t I?”

”No, I didn’t!” Yan Qinghe forced himself to look calm.

”Humph. I’d be a fool to believe you.” Yan Zhuohua opened his mouth and bit down hard on Yan Qinghe’s collarbone.

Yan Qinghe took a sharp breath in pain but didn’t dare to move.

Having vented his anger, Yan Zhuohua slowly let go. A ring of bloody teeth marks was left on Yan Qinghe’s collarbone. It seemed like he bit a bit too hard! Yan Zhuohua smacked his lips, trying to save face.

”Didn’t you want to know what the gift is? Here, this is one of them.”

”Then I’ll definitely keep it well.”

How ugly would that be to keep! Yan Zhuohua looked at it closely and frowned.

”That’s not necessary; this is a limited edition gift.”

Yan Qinghe couldn’t help but laugh, and then he got kicked.

Soon, the day Yan Qinghe had been dreaming of finally arrived. The anniversary happened to fall on a Monday, and Yan Qinghe happily granted himself and his wife two days off. So, by mid-morning, both were still in bed.

When the hour hand pointed exactly to ten, the alarm finally went off. Yan Qinghe opened his eyes almost instantly to turn off the music, but he still woke the sleeping Yan Zhuohua.

”What time is it?”

Yan Qinghe put down his phone and turned to hug Yan Zhuohua, who hadn’t even opened his eyes yet. ”Ten o’clock.”

”What time?” Yan Zhuohua slowly opened his eyes and met Yan Qinghe’s smiling gaze.

”Ten o’clock... Ow!” Taken completely off guard, Yan Qinghe was kicked right off the bed.

”Zhuohua, why did you kick me? Today is our wedding anniversary...”

”When you were having your fun last night, why didn’t you mention it was our anniversary today?” Yan Zhuohua struggled to get up. ”You remember it now? Do you want to spend this anniversary lying in bed with me all day?”

Yan Qinghe felt guilty but bold. ”Well, I’d be quite willing to do that.”

”Beat it!”

*

By 11:30, Yan Qinghe had almost finished preparing a lavish lunch, while Yan Zhuohua, still feeling some discomfort, was just getting out of bed, holding his waist.

It wasn’t that he insisted on lying down longer; he simply couldn’t get up. More importantly, he planned to go out with Yan Qinghe in the afternoon, so he needed to conserve his energy.

Thus, after another ten minutes or so, Yan Zhuohua lazily came downstairs and sat directly at the dining table.

”Oh, you came down just in time; the last dish is just finished.” Yan Qinghe brought out a plate of braised eggplant. Seeing Yan Zhuohua leaning lazily against the back of the chair, he beamed instantly. ”We’re truly in sync, wife!”

Yan Zhuohua was too lazy to speak; he just lifted his eyelids to glance at him and gave a muffled ”humph” from his throat in response.

His tsundere-like appearance made Yan Qinghe’s heart itch, prompting him to set down the plate and cup his face for a kiss.

Yan Zhuohua didn’t resist at all, but after Yan Qinghe finished kissing him, he wiped the saliva off his face in disgust and rolled his eyes at him.

”Go back to your seat and eat properly. You’re going out with me in a bit.”

”Going out?” Yan Qinghe’s eyes lit up. ”Is it for my gift?”

Yan Zhuohua nodded. ”Yes, one of the gifts.”

With a gift dangling in front of him, Yan Qinghe wished he could skip the meal entirely. But Yan Zhuohua still had to eat, so he could only finish his own and then stare longingly at the slow-eating Yan Zhuohua across from him.

”Sigh, go to the study. There’s a big cardboard box under my desk; bring it down.” Yan Zhuohua felt like he was about to catch fire under Yan Qinghe’s burning gaze. He really couldn’t take it anymore and finally relented, letting Yan Qinghe have his gift first.

As expected, Yan Qinghe immediately got up and went to the study. Within a minute, he had carried the box down.

Yan Zhuohua swallowed his last bite of food, unhurriedly wiped his mouth with a tissue, and then began to open the box.

”I thought about it carefully. You don’t lack anything money can buy, and I don’t have that much money on hand, so I prepared a meaningful gift for you instead.”

As he spoke, Yan Zhuohua began taking things out of the box.

”Didn’t you have me write a marriage certificate when we first got married? I figured you’d like ancient wedding customs, so I prepared a set for you based on the wedding ceremonies recorded in our family history. The Three Letters and Six Rites are mostly all here.”

”First, a pair of ’Dragon and Phoenix’ jade pendants. I asked someone to buy the jade and carved them myself to serve as our tokens of love.” To carve this pair of pendants, Yan Zhuohua had secretly taken quite a bit of jade material in his office to practice; the wasted pieces alone were worth a lot of money.

Yan Zhuohua placed one of the pendants into the hands of the stunned Yan Qinghe. ”Hold it tight. If it breaks, I’m going to beat you.”

”Of course not!” Yan Qinghe finally snapped out of it, hurriedly clutching the jade pendant and rubbing it happily.

”Don’t be in such a hurry to celebrate; there’s more.” Yan Zhuohua continued taking things out. ”Here, I wrote a Marriage Certificate myself and had someone cast it in silver.”

”And some fabric, specially customized from a century-old shop. I also designed the jewelry and had it made, and there are some dried fruits...”

Bit by bit, Yan Zhuohua pulled items out of the box. ”Of course, the number of gifts in an ancient wedding is more than just this. These are just representatives from each category. For the vast majority of them, I’ve arranged for Uncle Ye to prepare a room at the Old Residence specifically for storage. You can go back and see them if you want.”

Yan Qinghe was so shocked he was speechless. He carefully touched each gift, looking down for a long time.

”I’m starting to regret this. Can you take all of these back?”

Yan Zhuohua: ”?”

Yan Zhuohua: ”What nonsense are you talking about? Are you itching for a beating?”

”No, no,” Yan Qinghe hurriedly explained, ”I mean, it seems like everything you prepared is Betrothal Gifts... Are you—are you asking me to prepare a Dowry for myself?” This dynamic isn’t quite right!

”...”

Yan Zhuohua was almost speechless. ”Are we really distinguishing between who marries whom?”

Yan Qinghe whispered, ”But aren’t you the one on the bottom...”

Yan Qinghe’s voice grew lower and lower under Yan Zhuohua’s dangerous gaze, soon fading away completely.

I can’t be bothered with him. It’s all trivial matters. Take a step back and the world is wide. It’s a grand day, since we’re already here, he’s just a child...

”Fine, just treat these as my Dowry.” Yan Zhuohua took a few deep breaths and spoke through gritted teeth. ”Do I need to get myself a Red Bridal Veil and embroider a Bridal Gown too?”

”No need, no need! Why would you need to do it yourself? I’ll go online and order a set right now, and have them deliver it tonight!” A new kind of spice! A wife in a Bridal Gown! Pay more, pay more, pay extra to have them deliver it! Tonight will be my Wedding Night!

Yan Zhuohua was past the point of complaining; he just sat there watching Yan Qinghe excitedly place an order on his phone.

For the 1001st time, he asked himself: Am I really going to spend the rest of my life with such a silly hooligan?
