Serpent Ancestor

The two demons continued on their journey until they were far from the Hidden Dragon Trench and had reached the outside world, where they finally stopped.

By now, the sky had brightened, the full moon hidden behind the clouds, and the sun was shining high.

At this point, Hei Huang had already determined the direction. This place was not far from Star Island, and they could reach it within a day.

”What exactly is in that Hidden Dragon Trench? Why could I see a cluster of buildings while you couldn’t?” Xu Hei asked, puzzled.

Hei Huang sized up Xu Hei and laughed, ”Xu Hei, regarding this matter, I suggest you don’t tell anyone, nor mention that you can see anything.”

”Why?” Xu Hei was surprised.

Hei Huang said slowly, ”Underneath that Hidden Dragon Trench, I discovered no fewer than ten surveillance formations and five different sources of divine sense. If you go down there, it won’t take more than a stick of incense’s time before a strong cultivator comes to capture you.”

”...” Xu Hei was at a loss for words.

”However, those surveillance formations are too ancient, some set up in ancient times. Whether their owners are still around is unknown, but I suggest you stay away until you’re at the Elemental Infant stage.” Hei Huang sneered.

Hearing this, Xu Hei’s mind raced, understanding many things.

On a full moon night, he could see things others couldn’t, which reminded him of the Azure Dragon Combat Technique and Azure Dragon Immortal Spell on the cave dwelling’s stone wall.

Perhaps this was a secret technique of the true dragon clan, leaving behind an inheritance that only true dragon descendants could discover.

However, the building complex at the trench’s bottom was likely already exposed, but outsiders couldn’t open it or approach it, so they thought of fishing here to catch a true dragon descendant to help open it.

He had to admit, after drinking the Enlightenment Tea, Xu Hei’s mind was much more active, able to quickly analyze the crux of the problem.

”I can only come back after reaching the Elemental Infant stage.” Xu Hei sighed.

Hei Huang rummaged through his storage bag and pulled out a piece of wood, quickly crafting it into a watercraft.

This place wasn’t far from Star Island, and Xu Hei planned to go there to take care of something.

”Old dog, where do you plan to go next?” Xu Hei asked.

”Of course, to Star Island! Those women from the Melodic Sect went too far. Last time, they got me captured, and this time, I must capture a few as human pets!” Hei Huang said viciously.

”Human pets...”

Xu Hei’s face turned dark.

A dog could have human pets?

”Little Xu, you’re an adult now, right? Today, I’ll show you some fun and broaden your horizons.”

Hei Huang chuckled, took out a pill, and tossed it to Xu Hei.

Xu Hei caught it and saw it was a Transformation Pill!

”Old dog, what scheme are you up to now?” Xu Hei glared.

”What scheme could I have? Of course, it’s to let you experience the beauty of the human world.”

Hei Huang boarded the watercraft with a lewd smile.

Xu Hei landed on the watercraft, frowned, and said, ”Can you be more straightforward?”

”You’ll understand when the time comes! In short, this Transformation Pill is a good thing. After taking it, not only can you have a human body for a short time, but you can also have human senses and touch.” Hei Huang laughed.

”...” Xu Hei was still confused.

Human senses and touch, what’s so good about that?

However, he needed to go to Star Island for something, so it was on the way.

...

A day passed in the blink of an eye.

As expected, Hei Huang’s watercraft sank again.

But this time, it wasn’t due to a natural disaster; they encountered two groups of pirates fighting, and coincidentally, a cannonball landed right on the boat, sinking it with one shot.

The newly crafted watercraft was of poor quality, with no defensive formation set up, and with Hei Huang’s bad luck, having the potential of a vehicle killer, the watercraft was blown to smithereens.

”Screw this, I’ll never get on your boat again!”

Xu Hei cursed, deciding to swim over himself, as riding Hei Huang’s boat was tempting fate.

”How can you blame me? I’m innocent too!” Hei Huang was very helpless.

Despite the rough journey, they finally reached Star Island after a day.

Both demons were exhausted, rested outside for a while, disguised themselves, and then planned to enter the island.

The important business still needed to be done!

Xu Hei used the Ever-changing Fish and Dragon technique, transforming into a half-human, half-snake form, then put on a heavy coat and a bamboo hat to perfectly conceal his body.

As for the tail, Xu Hei wrapped it around his waist.

Compared to normal humans, Xu Hei was no different except for having an extra tail, a single horn, and scales all over his body.

Hei Huang wore a bamboo hat, a raincoat, and carried a long knife at his waist, walking upright like a short martial artist.

”Little girls of the Melodic Sect, your Grandpa Hei is back, and this time, I’m going to make you all my human pets, hehehe!”

Hei Huang let out an extremely lewd laugh.

He glanced at Xu Hei beside him, looked him up and down, and said, ”Your look is quite unique!”

”I didn’t take the Transformation Pill; this is natural talent!” Xu Hei said proudly.

Hei Huang’s eyes flickered, and he sneered, ”So, are you planning to make trouble at the Immortal Pavilion?”

”Oh? You actually figured it out.” Xu Hei was quite surprised.

”Heh, with your little schemes, you can’t hide them.” Hei Huang laughed.

Xu Hei indeed planned to go to the Immortal Pavilion, regardless of the consequences, to take down Mu Hou.

If he couldn’t do it openly, he’d resort to a sneak attack; there was always a way.

”Do you want me to help, and we can do something big? The usual rule, fifty-fifty split, fair to all!” Hei Huang laughed.

Xu Hei frowned, glanced at Hei Huang, and said, ”Fifty-fifty, don’t cheat me!”

”When have I ever lied to you? Heaven and earth as my witness!” Hei Huang shouted.

Xu Hei nodded slightly, ”Then it’s a deal.”

The two demons immediately took action, sneaking towards the direction of the Immortal Pavilion.

Xu Hei’s original plan was to lure Mu Hou out and kill him, but with Hei Huang, perhaps they could confront him directly?

No, they still needed to plan carefully; what if this old dog tricked him?

”Let’s be clear, I’ll help you settle the Immortal Pavilion first, and later when we go to the Melodic Sect, you have to help me too!” Hei Huang pushed Xu Hei.

”We’ll talk about it then.” Xu Hei said.

...

The Immortal Pavilion, as a stronghold of Penglai Island in this area, had always been the second-largest trading center, second only to the Sea Commerce Guild.

Although there weren’t many guests, the quality was high, and most who came to trade were above the Foundation Establishment stage.

In the back hall on the first floor.

Mu Hou held a cup of tea, sitting leisurely on a lounge chair, sipping a small mouthful, while two maids massaged his legs, enjoying himself immensely.

Wang Qin, as usual, knelt in the corner, receiving criticism from the head maid, Liu Hongmei.

”I’ve told you so many times, why don’t you learn your lesson!”

”Why don’t I scold others, only you? Think more about your own problems, whether you’ve seriously attended to the guests, whether you’ve listened carefully to Manager Mu’s words, and stop complaining!”
